Hi, Today is day 3, I removed my patch before I went to bed last night though I had no horrid dreams/nightmares I had a really restless nights sleep. BUT - I can honestly say if I had a pack of marlboro's I wouldnt touch one, I dont remember feeling this positive this time last yr when I only managed 3 weeks! Might have something to do with really wanting to do it for myself. Good luck everyone and keep up the good work. Debs x |

Hi Elaine hope you have got over your little mishap and are now back on the wagon!!, In the first stages of quiting smoking and even later on, you have to be on your guard, getting tiddy, lowered your defences and the automatic part of the your brain took over, I am glad you felt sick after the ciggie and have not succomed to the temptation to resume smoking, it is a small hick-up from which you have learnt a valuable lesson, keep posting on thread, you have cleaned a lot of the nicotine out of your body. Best wishes James Green |

Hi James & All Have pm'd you, well on day 2, ok not when I said but at least I have made the break away from them, using the patches which gave me a horrid dream and a restless nights sleep last night, so think I will remove it before I go to bed tonight. I have my in laws here for support at the moment which is great - son ripped up and disposed of 19 cigs yesterday and took great delight in it, ME, I wasnt bothered! Good luck everyone and keep up the good work Debs x |

Elaine, put it out of your mind, as Carol says it is just a blip. Onwards and upwards! Next time you get tempted (and you will!) just remember the disgusting taste of that cigarette. Dont give up quitting:-) We are all here for you....XXX BC |

I'm on week 13 now - really pleased with myself but putting quite a bit of weight on and read the 'symptoms' on another thread - got most of those as well! Was hoping I wouldn't be still out of breath when going up stairs but still there - how long does that take then? Well done to everyone and big mwah to BC because I think she's great lol! Debby |
