Fairy, one a normal auction, you make a bid and when others bid higher, the price goes up. This is whats known as a dutch auction I think. I have 100 'lots' (a whole lot of nothing lol). the starting bid for each is 99p. That is the amount you're expected to pay at the moment, even if you've bid more. Now, once I hit 100 bids, that means one bid per item. If another bid comes in, and you're effectively outbid at 99p, the system will automatically increase the amount, possibly up to your maximum bid. it will do this each time you're outbid (I don't expect this to happen), up to your maximum - if this is exceeded then you'll lose the auction. When the auction completes, I'll contact you through Ebay and give you an address to send a cheque to, or a site where you can pay/donate via credit card. How much you pay is up to you, so long as it meets your bid. If you want to pay more than the 99p (assuming it ends on 99p) thats up to you. Hope that clarifys it slightly ? Paul

Bec, I can't see the bids. Because there are so many lots, all the bids come in at the starting price - 99p.
