Alan, I managed to get lost on the train! And I still didn't have a clue what anyone looked like. Cam only remember some faces now and others are long forgotten along with names.

Itsy I had that with the last London meet. Your best bet would be to head towards platform 1, and exit the station near Boots. Out side bare right and head towards the hotel. There is a brass plac on the wall. That's where we all meet last time. If you want to be really ovious wear a sign saying GR. You could also look at photos from previous meets ans memorise a face or 2.

I'd like to try and get there, but as I know absolutely no-one, if I come dressed as a tree, would I be obvious? How does one recognise who you all are at Charing Cross Station - it's large isn't it?

Have finally found out when I am working in March. Unfortunatly I will be doing a 12 1/2 hour shift when you are all catching up and having a drink, so I can't join you. Do enjoy your selves and I'll try t make one later inthe year.

I will do my best to be there. Depends on work (i.e. whether I still have the Saturday job) but I'll do my best... least this time I won't be ill and have to a. leave early and b. not drink! Becx

Thanks again Vivienne - I may take you up on your kind offer. As you say, there's plenty of time for me to sort out what I'm going to do. Chrissie x

I hope this time, I get my post finished without everything freezing up. I've been trying to say Chrissie, that my offer still stands. Train gets into Paddington at 11:10am, & it would take about ten mins [I think ] to St P. It's no problem to come that way round the circle line. I'm going to bed now so I'm not being rude if you reply & I don't get back. There's plenty of time to think about it. Night All Vivienne

Chrissie, if you look at the transport for london website you can see the various ways of travelling. BUt it doesn't mention taxis LOL Tube will only take you 20 mins, and thats with a change. Be the cheapest option and maybe the fastest esp if you have hassle getting taxi??? tho you shouldn't should you? taxi's should be in in abundance at both stations can give you route on tube if you want it?

Christine2 Report 9 Feb 2006 22:57

Hi Shelli Thanks very much for looking it up for me - I wouldn't have known how to. A little bit far to walk I think, maybe I should consider a taxi. Chrissie x
