Mary hope the op sorts out all John's problems .. It would be lovely if he made a miraculous recovery and you could come to the Mudgee Melee, wouldn't it? Boiling hot outside (aircon going flat out inside) - no sign of forecast storm - not yet, anyway. Tony - you working too hard in the sun eh? I'm guilty of buying from St Vinnies, in fact its the first shop from my place - about 2 mins. walk. .. I go to any shop I can find when I'm away from home ! .. I guess it's like going to a garage sale! ps. I actually typed this out ages ago. .. There has been a change in the weather, .. Its windy, cloudy and greying over. Jood

Hi All, Lew if you haven't already left have a great and safe time, Thanks for that web addy Joods, the way the woman on the radio was talking about it I thought it was a free site but it must be the same as the one Mary told us about which isn't free Love and healing hugs to our not so well male Wattlers Thanks for the pickles of the cottage Jude, I loved the hollihocks, my Granddad had them in his garden funny thing though they used to frighten me as a child because they were so tall, sunflowers had the same effect. I 'm looking foward to seeing pickles of the cottage when it's finished you have both worked so hard on it. Anna your daughter is so talented, enjoy the concert. Fluffy one if you're looking in take care, be strong. I took a couple of photos before the batteries went, I think the camera needs new ones these are not holding the charge like they did, so I'll try and put them up if they came out properly Laurie safe journey home although I know you think of up here as home you know what I mean

Afternoon all Wilson - weve got a full tank of water and I feel so wicked and abandoned hosing everything in sight! We washed down the front pergola - had some mildew on it - washed the paved areas, hosed the garden and we have been flat out this week taking out old plants that have passed their use by date and planting new ones - and hosing it all! It's been a wonderful start to the new year. Hope you get some rain to fill your tank and then you can go crazy like we have! I guess Lew is on her way - the boots definitely have to go and be replaced with something more attractive! Can I join the Vinnies Club? My dinner set is from Vinnies - beautiful brown pottery which you can't get anymore. I had some when I was first married and was able to replace the broken pieces from Vinnies - I was so excited. And my last pair of jeans is from Life Line - used to be able to buy nice Regatta jeans from Myers but they don't have them anymore. But I found a perfectly good pair in my size at Life Line! Another exciting find! Katherine and I just love browsing through - she got a great pair of Doc Martins from there last year. Hugs to all those who need hugs - Trifley, Ducky, Tiger, Merle and OH, and Mary's John. And TLR with his poor sore foot! I'm being very forward going around hugging other people's husbands aren't I? But we all need lots of hugs even if they are only cyber ones. catch you all later XX Anna

Afternoon All, Just a quick look in, what has been happening here? I have the weekend off and am looking forward to catching up on a few things around the house. Yep actually looking forward to H******k, the back yard has been dug up to put pipes in for a rain water tank that is being delivered next week, looks like a building site. Especially as everything is so dry. It is getting a bit depressing to look at the garden. Have a great day all take care Wilson

Hi Tassie Just the place to go for a table,, If you saw what we got rid of because we didnt have the room for it, absolutely nothing wrong with it and some as good as the day we bought it but couldnt take it with us..I used to visit there often just to see what they had..Had to laugh ,,when we got married 46 years ago we bought our first bedroom suite, 9 years ago when in Bathurst where daughter lived at the time we went into vinnies looking for something , cant remember what but there was the same dressing table I had and it was for sale for $14, I went home and told John that it was time I had a new dressingtable ,,but never did,,lol Boy it is getting hot today and should be up near 30c at the moment,,out west is to go to 40c..glad I dont live out there.. JudeDIY The cottage is comming along fantastically..Love the garden out front,,suites it to a T...Did you have Christmas there or just all go up there for a break, and some work,,, SuzyQ How are my chooks, are they laying again or still on holiday... John has a operation on 2/2/07 which we hope will fix his problems..We hope so as we have so much we want to do but cant plan anything until he is OK again. Must go and do some dreaded H,,,w so back later Love Mary xxxxx

tsk tsk Mary - I was up at 6.00am as usual!!!!! Another scorcher here today - but a storm promised later - small bit of washing out, which should dry fairly quickly. .. I'm trying to keep it all up to date before I leave. Aircon working overtime here. .. If I have to work, then I need comfort, don't I?? *nods head vigorously in agreeance* I agree with Lew, a pair of oversized gumboots wouldn't take preference over a bottle of Bailey's now, would it??? Won't have time to parade the dress and hold up the swimmers Fanny, but maybe when I'm away (noooooooooooooooo - absolutely nooooooo pics of me IN the swimmers) Jood

Just running through thread Bye Lew have a great time. I know how Terry feels with Airport Security. I cant go through the security scanners (whatever you call them) due to my pacemaker, so I have to walk around, take of shoes and other relevent articles then get the wand and a pat down too. Lara how are you going with puta??? Merle hope you get some relief from leg soon. Mary how is John going, did they fix the prob yet? Ok off to do some vinny shopping, need a table to put outside for when we have a barbie, not going to buy a new one if we can find an old one that will do the trick, even if it needs a coat of paint or a cloth thrown over it when we use it. Cheers Sue

Morning Wattlers, well it's 9.30 am and already 28.6 C. Going to be another hot one. Boy, am I going to feel the difference in a couple of days, lol Make an executive decision last night that when I leave the boat in NZ, I'll be leaving those blasted gum boots behind!!! They take up far too much room and there's still duty free shopping to be done, lol Just had a lovely phone call from the Duck wishing me bon voyage. I've threatened that little feathered bottom with a prod from the size 8 gummies if she doesn't get herself back on the thread, pmsl Lara, hope Mike's knee is coming along nicely. Just wait until you have to go through security at an airport, lol. Takes us 15 minutes by the time Terry has removed most of his clothing and then has to go for the pat down. Well, I'm off now to finish the cleaning, then off to Sydney. ~~~waves to all the Wonderful Wattlers~~~ Hope I can send you all an email from way down South. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee HRH Dr Lew Lew xxx

Merle I am soooo sorry to hear you are still having problems with your legs. I hope the x-ray tomorrow will sort it all out, and I hope you will have a good night's sleep. I will try and remember himself's birthday - I'll be on the road that day. (enroute B/go) Wow - I'm finding out that little boy babies - even at almost 9 months can be very very vigorous!!!!! .. Even on my lap he was jumping up and down, scratching my eyes out, pulling my necklet (exaggerating a bit) - but I wouldn't have it any other way. .. He played the shy game for a while today but I think that's all it is - a game! Hugs to Merle & Trifley. Night to all Jood

Hi everyone Just passing on a message from our Queen - she is starting to feel tired and lethargic so probably won't be around for a few days. She sends greeting to all her loyal subjects. Thanks for the pickles Jude DIY - wow! I'm impressed. What a difference you guys have made - and a garden to boot! Love the hollyhocks. It's so very cottagey! Are there lavender plants as well? Lara - hope Tiger is feeling better - what a butter about the other knee. Heather - your DD is doing well to persevere with bin cleaning etc. Good on her. Katherine is really enjoying the Summer School - tomorrow night is the big concert in our Empire Theatre. She is performing in Flute choir, Concert band, Vocal choir and chamber choir. She really feels she has learnt so much from being with other musicians who are so gifted and so enthusiastic. Then on Saturday, it is open day at the Uni so the public can see what everyone has produced at the summer school and the music students will be performing again. They are playing the 1812 Overture - all the tutors and all the students - so should be brilliant. Have a good evening all. X Anna
