Dear All, Laurie has kindly pointed me in your direction :o) I am completely stuck on a branch I have found in Tasmania. I've just no idea how I would go about tracing this lineage forward/if I can order certificates from overseas/ what happens if i can't find people on passenger lists/searchable records online (i've tried a few) etc etc. I'd really appreciate some guidance. Thanks, Claire x |

Good morning Wattlers A lovely sunny day on Botany Bay, just 3 giraffe heads reaching for the sky, and the sky is very busy with planes coming and going from the airport. There are several little boats out looking for the catch of the day, and lots of peeps enjoying their morning constitutional on the beach. Hard going getting up early to get TLR off to work, order of the day will be the dreaded and then when the mailman delivers the held mail it will be catch up on snail mail and bills. I wont even try to add to what I have read, would be here all day and I have heaps of catch up this morning. Hope you all have a lovely Monday, special wattler thoughts for those not feeling the best this morning, With a little luck I will get some spare time this afternoon to do some much needed sorting of my files on the puter . . . been neglected this past few weeeks, looking forward to some time for some FH. Must away to the dreaded luv Laurie |

Whats Mr D done to hisself now JA??? .. He is a terror when he's outside isn't he !!! Bet the temp is getting colder and colder for Miss Lew, Petee, and Wattie. Only one day left before my sojourn down south. .. Busy meeting today, then a dash down the mountain to return some sandals which were a bit too big for me - 14 days to exchange and I won't be home before then :( Speaking of shoes, Miss Vonny Imelda - my sister heard from a friend in Canberra who said there was a new discount store out near the airport. ..Is that where you went? Anna I was reading an old WW in Perth about Lauren Newton's wedding and her brother Matthew was posing as if he was the groom. It's gone to his head all this celebrity status, - just like Bert & Patti. I forgot to tell you when I was at the Hopman Cup, and the end of a round, someone from the other side yelled out 'aussie' - and the crowd from the opposite side replied 'oi oi oi' - this went on quite a few times!!! C'mon rise' n shine you guys - its 7:06 - I bin up for ages. Bar-code Barb, enjoy your week of tennis - it looks soooo exciting! Jood |

Well put it this way Gwenda, it didn't cost me to join The site was http://www(.)privatecellar(.)com(.)au/default.asp There are others of course, David Jones Wine Club sells the same wine too. (the storberry stuff) .. It's supposed to be cheaper if you buy it on the net, but then you have delivery charges. .. For me, in the mountains, or to my daughter's place in Bendigo - it is $11.95 I suggest you shop around the different wine cellars http://www(.)google(.)com/search?hl=en&lr=&rls=com.microsoft%3Aen-US&q=wine+cellars+on+line+in+Australia Think its time I went to bed. Night all Jood |

Wow, Yvette, amazing coincidence :) However, I was well and truely over it all by morning. All mine - except one - were very early morning children and youngest was born after a midnight 'dash' down a gravel mountain road with a really thick mist and a high wind. Took an hour to get to Taree and I dreaded every single wooden bridge - and there were heaps as the creek winds back and forth. Was a sealed road from Wingham to Taree though. I stayed in hospital for a week. Who wants to go home to a wood fired stove and three other children? I needed the rest :) Night all, catch you tomorrow. Vonny |

Vonny - that piccie was amazing - if you don't read the message you wouldn't realise what you're actually looking at - very well done Tony - I have the behind the scenes DVD of LWTTT too - can't get enough of it - gosh I'm a sad ol' thing when it comes to music - majority of our DVDs are music - you can keep movies - seen it once you seen it - music just goes on and on and on - never tire of it Jood - did you hafta join the Wine Club or could just order the 6 bottles ya wanted? Off to google earth - daughter and I checked out NY yesterday and I've checked out the neighbourhood - gee when I take my morning constititional it looks a fair distance - only 2 thousand something steps in reality. Evening. The moosic i was refering to was of course, 'A long way to the top' Think Barb has put her back out again..lol She still thinks she's 16......and who am i to argue. She had the bop part working and the hips swinging to the music, but when the music stopped the hips kept moving and her bop busted a button.....?? hee hee We have the DVD.too. Barb did go to the Concert when it was in Melbin at the tennis centre to see her heart throbs Billy Thorpe and Normie aint nessicarily Rowe. The programe that was on today on tele had a bit extra, as they were interviewing the stars one on one as well between songs, which you dont get on the DVD.so she taped that as well. Tony Oz...:>)) Likkle Patti was my throb..lol |

Your artistic decorations sounded lovely Vonny! .. Fancy your daughter and Fanny's son being born on the same day eh? Tony - missed the moozik - bet you enjoyed it tho - did you self medicate for it? Nothing much on the tele tonight - might as well google earth or play games or something. .. Bit too early for bed. I dinny tell you guys that I ordered 6 bottles of the storberry wine on the internet, and its being sent to Bendigo (but - I'm bringing what's left of it back to Sydney). .. I wanted to try some there. .. Obviously you can't buy it direct from a liquor store. Jood |

How amazing is that vonny, my eldest was 25 today too!!! we were in pain together. He was born at 0830, so he's been 25 for most of the day The fellow i 'spoke' to today in NZ's family lived in the same small street as mine. not the same house this time but next door. I think there were only 14/15 dwellings. Even more remarkable, we are not related love Yvette x |

late arvo all, Just had a birthday afternoon tea for youngest daughter - 25! - which sort of went into teatime and now I am all sugared out. AGAIN!! I was hoping I would lose weight on the camp but - no way, all those biccys we took with us :( Just sent everyone some mail Jood :) Wedding yesterday was lovely - they had lived together for 5 years but you could see that the wedding was a deeper commitment. We truely enjoyed ourselves. Although the reception was held at a place called The Boathouse so they served mostly seafood for entrees. I dislike seafood so was a bit starving come dinner time! but dinner was lovely - terribly upmarket and fancy - but still lovely. Guess what girls (and boys) the seventies is back in wedding fashions - full veils, long trains and beading. bridesmaids wore a very nice shade of deep pink - dresses were sashed and pleated chiffony stuff (I don't sew) and the flowers were pastel coloured lillies and pastel orchids for the bride and pretty pink and white poseys for the girls. The table decorations were super - pink rosebuds floating inside large glass cylinders so that they were magnified. I tried to copy something similar for d's birthday today but I had to use a large preserving jar instead. Still, you could see the idea! Original and novel. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ to all Vonny |
