Just in from the Printheth of the Ice . . . IT'S OFFICIAL Wattie, Petee and I are officially in the Antarctic! We crossed the 60 degree mark this morning and all met on deck to toast King Neptune with champagne. We got some fantastic pickles and should be going ashore on Friday. Having a great time and meeting lots of people and going to all the lectures and games. Love to all the Wattlers and hope you are all keeping well. HRH Dr Lew Lew PS I hope Dr Tony has been administering all the appropriate coloured pills xxxxxxxxxxx

IT'S MEEEEEE,finally back on line and just in time for himself to read his fan mail. Thanks very much. He's quite chuffed. Not bad for a bloke who wasn't expected to see his 61st is it? No wonder I'm wearing out at the knees.! Gotta have a carers break very soon. We had 1117problems in the puter and about $90 worth of programmes later, managed to get them all off. I'm sad to say that I lost all my addresses so please send me an email. Not just for me to get a full address book but cos you luv me!! A belated Welcome to Claire. You will have noticed by now that they're all mad as hatters. I'm the only sane one but no .one believes me. Lost all the letters I had written girls so you'll just have to accept the thought was there. Queenie, pleased to hear that all is well in court circles, welcome back to our printheth too Trust poor old Tiger is on the way to recovery. Got my xray results today and the powers that be say theres nothing wrong and were surprised when I burst into tears at the thought of all the pain of the last weeks. However, the knee exercises are helping and last night had my first nights sleep with no pain except when I rolled on it in my sleep, What now? nothing, The only bloke here who will do an arthroscopy is away for three months so still have to wait till May or thereabouts It is feeling better though so shall wait patiently says she heroicly lol Now then Sir Tonz, I found a william and Mary Knighton who were married 30/11/1829 and a william and Mary sheldon in 27/11/1797 but as you say the Marriage certificate forGeorge and Ellen might be the best bet. Would the death notices in Australia at that time show that sort of info? That better be enough or I'll have another five pages to read before this gets to you. Have a great whats left of today luv Me

Afternoon all More gardening - appealed against the heat! Girls had an all night movie marathon and have had brunch. All going home sometime today - they'll sleep well tonight! Welcome back from the fog Trifles - so many beeee - autiful things to buy in Montville! Enjoy!! Don't know why they persist in making the tennis players continue in the heat. Lots of complaints from players yesterday I hear. Lara - glad they have found out what was wrong with Tiger - hope the little physio learns something from it! Doesn't help Tiger though does it! Jood - are you there yet??? I see they are bringing out a 50c postage stamp to celebrate the ashes win - and a $1.85 overseas stamp for mail going overseas - how to rub salt in the wounds!! Enjoy the rest of the day everyone. Cheers Anna

Arvo Gwenda have some i*****g lying in wait to ambush me when I go into the laundry - my excuse its been too hot to do it/makes the aircon work harder lol. Trifley my MIL used to use collywobbles and iscabibbles (this was mostly used for appendages or b*ms)quite a lot - she reckoned they were very descriptive words which covered all situations (able to be used whenever she had a craft moment - more likely). Princeth you will need a new passport at this rate! 2 wonderful trips - we haven't TLR scream yet - so keep twisting hehehe Sheesh I know they want you out of bed and moving after an op - but I'd want to bash that b.physio - bet she/he will cop an earful from the doc or Lara or both. (Have deleted my 'sound off ' on customers - those that read it will know) Okay I'm to make a cuppa and take time to count to 10 - 10 times. (I think it might be time for a job where I can't be let loose on the general public for a while- maybe in a fridge) - update -Ok had a cuppa now feeling a little calmer xx jude

Hot afternoon Wattlers, When's winter?????????? I really don't like this hot stuff and if Tassie is having over 30 think I'll be retiring to Antarctica instead Just spent nearly 4 hours ironing and still nowhere near the end so please no-one think they can send me theirs as well. Trifley - have a lovely cupla days away you've earned them JudyDIY - I took some of Dayna's ventolin once - it was when she was on the liquid stuff - haven't shaken so much in all my life - scared me half to death - never did it again - being breathless was better than the shakes. Lara - glad Mike's probs have been sorted - bad luck it happened at all tho. Hope he's soon on the mend and back home Laurie - sounds like a busy year travelling the globe for you & Ray - would you like to borrow my suitcase - I won't take up too much room and it's built like a warehouse - just ask the taxi drivers who had to lift it in their boot - pmsl Jood - hope you've made it to Bendigo okay - bet the pool is looking very inviting. Daughter has a blow up paddling pool - bad luck we are on stage 3 restrictions or she would fill it and be sitting in it I'm off to stretch out on the bed and read a trashy Mills & Boon for a while - got so engrossed in one yesterday it was 8pm before we got tea and then I had to force myself to put it down. Hope everyone has found a cool spot ~~~~~~~~to all Gwenda

Arvo Peeps. Nuther hottie in Melban. Have called it quits for the day, until the weather drops its temp a little. Jude DIY. No tennis for barb this morning, but she goes to the night match to-night. 5:00pm. She would sit through 50c if she had to...lol Not really a sporty person by nature but when it comes to her Tennis, its no good trying to have a conversation with her......lol Find it a bit strange that the Physio was getting Mike to do knee bends straight after an op. No wonder there's bleeding and muscle damage. I know the physio's like you to start excercising ASAP after an op, but must have overdone it a bit, me thinks. If Jood is in Deniliquin, then she must be coming through Moama - Echuca. We were there for the Australian Square Danceing Convention in the 90s. Barb was into Square dancing in a big way in the 70s, 80s and early 90s. Been doing some reasearch on Claire's THORPE family in Tassie, and having much success so far, so think she is a happy bunny at the moment. Have also found the unamed male first born child we think. There always a bit harder to find, but i have had some success and a bit of good fortune. Trifley. Lots of warm wishes for you mate, and nice to hear the last of the Chemo coming up for you. After the last one's finished i will set up a special Martoonie Chemo for you......its much nicer...:>))) My wife hated the Chemo more than life itself, so i do understand what you mean kinda. Jillaroo. Have a great trip mate. Someone has to do it..? so it might as well be you....Enjoy. ps. Watch out for the Dog poo in Paris...lol Handing out Pills to who ever needs them....hee hee I'm a failure when it comes to playing Dr. and giving out Pills.Dont think Dr. HRH Lew will leave me in charge again....:>((( But i do have a good reason for not supplying them....the Cat stole them, when she pinched our numbers. Well, thats my story, and I'm sticking to it. Speaking of Holiday's, we have booked for Darwin in September. Have a good un. Tony Oz...:>)) * back to do what i do best, and find some more of Claire's relos.*

Good Morning Wattlers Phew I used to like living in Melbourne where we got variety - but someone turned the temp up on us and forgot to turn it down again. This is not good for a girl who doesn't like the temp any higher than 28c -lol. Had to go yesterday for the smear test, while there got the usual lecture -'lose some weight', hmmm blood pressure a little high (course it was just had roadworks (40 kmph most of the way), kamikaze drivers and no parking spots, 39 deg and just fell in the door for the appt time ( I had allowed 40 mins for the trip - wasn't late for once and its usually only a 25 min trip), hmmm (again) you sound a bit wheezy let me check your chest (no not that way -lol) with a steffyscope- another few hmmm's later - the verdict. I have succumbed to the poor air quality - he is sure its the smoke/air quality but has put me on an inhaler. Have been doing the morning walks and running out of breath up the hills, kept coughing everytime I've had to breathe a bit harder. They say ignorance is bliss - I kept thinking these hills are a bit of hard work. Don't like the inhaler - Yuk - in fact double yuk - its tasteless and no smell - but I'm hoping the trembles stop soon they are a bit un-nerving. Vonny and Fanny what a coincidence - add another offspring to the 14th of Jan - Jonathon was 25 also but born at 2.10pm. Bit spooky that. Lara I surmise from all the chatter that Mike's knee isn't right yet - (( hugs)) to you both. (been so long writing this 5 peeps have added - thank you for the update Princeth). Trifley isn't Graeme a sweetie - Montville is a lovely place to get over the CC's (chemo collywobbles). Dr T can I have some pills to make me cool please, don't know how Barb is coping at the tennis - does she like the heat? Good to hear Lew has her sea legs - hope she keeps a tight hold on Wattie don't want him to be a snack for the fishes. Shazz thank you for the kind comments on the cottage - but unfortunately is still has a bit of work to be done. JA sorry I forgot to send the piccies will do it today for you - didn't mean to exclude you. Mary ooo a swishy night out - yeah you can have a lovely dinner and not have to wonder about driving home and brekky too - go get pampered and don't forget to leave the room untidy - just 'cause you can! Welcome home Flakey. Had a day of shopping on Monday with my sis, last time was 4 yrs ago, and after Monday I know why. Flakey she dragged me to Brandsmart - mainly because I had bought some lovely Mikasa wine glasses there(on my shopping trip with Jude 2) for her for Christmas, and my dear darling son picked up the present on Chrismas morning by the ribbon to carry it out to the car for me - you can guess what happened. David handed me the package when I got in the car and said is Aunty Lynda's present supposed to tinkle? 2 broken glasses to be replaced. (got some nice new bras that are comfortable and reasonably priced ,bonus was that they look quite good/sexy too - no there wont be any pics -pmsl. )was only going to be there for an hour, 5 hrs later got home. I'm retailed therapy-ed out - let me back to Bunnings! I listened to LWTTT on Sunday too, was doing a bit of stripping while bopping to the music (paint stripping - calm down) - Ken said I'll think I'll turn the tele over to the cricket - you look like you are enjoying the music too much - bu***r. Off to have some sustenance back later xx jude

Aaaahhhh tis lovely to have you back from the wilderness Oh Great Queen!!!! Just had sms from Joodles . . . 11.49 Maccas for lunch at Deniliquin . . . so all fine with her on the road and on the down hill run. Just had a chat with Lara . . . I had tried ringing her to no avail, then I found her on msn . . . again no avail she has no electricity and the lappy keeps cutting out . . . so she rang me back. Tiger is sorted !! At last . . . he is still back in hospital and Lara is hopeing they keep him there a while. Turns out the problem was caused by the physio . . . silly blighter had Tiger doing knee bends on Sunday - well before he should have according to the surgeon - and it has caused a bleed and muscle damage . . . hence the great agony that he was in on Sunday night and had to go back into hospital. Lara is guessing by the look on the surgeons face when Tiger told her what he had been doing, that the little physio will be in very hot water! Not a bad day here on Botany Bay . . . sunny but a lovely sea breeze keeping temps down. Only one giraffe with head in the blue sky, and lots of activity out there on the beach with kids still on school holidays. Guess what . . . we have a holdiay booked for August . . . TLR has always wanted to go back to Vietnam and have a look see . . . so we go on 7th August - back on 17th Aug. Now I have something to look forward to after we get back from our Turkey and UK trip woohooooo. Must be lunch time the tum is rumbling so off to slice a bit off the ham bone to have with my salad . . . and coffee . . . sounds good! Hope your all haveing a good day . . . luv Laurie

Trifley drags arm chair onto thread. Sits down and makes herself comfy. OK! I'm baaaaack from the wilderness. Only one more session to go (thank the gods!). I'm glad. I don't thinkj I could take too much more of this. I don't know how people who are really sick cope with it. I sang happy birthday to Derek on the other thread....I sounded good even if I do say so myself heeee heeee. I threw a tantrum because the Royal consort worked New Years eve....sooooo.....he has graciously agreed that we should go to Montville for a couple of days next week. We leave on Sunday for 2 days of peace, quiet, coffee, wineries and craft shops.....yippppeee. Can someone email me if there was anything drastic or happy which happened to any of our wonderful lot while I've been in the wilderness? It's not just that I'm a sticky beak.....it's that I want you all to know that I think of you even when I'm feeling yucky. Aaaahhhh....coffee provided by the Royal consort! Aren't I lucky? Morning Wattlers Boy I hate this weather, but Im glad I wasnt in Vic yesterday. Our 33.4 was bad enough, even too hot to sit outside and have a barbie so we ordered pizza. Today is expecting the same until we get a thunderstorm tonight. Slept with windows open last night and it did rain a couple of times, but by the time I got out of bed to see if the rain was coming inside it had stopped :-( Oooh did anyone sit up to watch Lleyton win his match??? I thought he was gone early on in the game :-( Merle hope everything is well with your knee and dont go overdoing it for himself's birthday. I do hope he has a good one though, Whats ya got him for a pressie, a bottle of Laughing gas instead of oxygen haa haa, only joking :-))) Cheers Sue

Have been relapsing in pool and catching up on movies missed when they came out – really loved “Motorcycle Diaries”, gave me the travel bug again but I’m a bit past roughing it now.
