Aaarrrggghhh!!! I've just worked out why I've got 'cabin fever'! In the last 10 days I haven't been out of the house further than the mail box! Roll on Montville........only 2 sleeps to go! (Not that I'm counting). Special message to TLR........you had better do something about that foot....and SOON! Can you imagine the Printheth angry? Not something I'd like to see. Cool, overcast day here on the GC. Hey.....Rain Gods!!!.....Could we have some decent rain here, too, please? Coffee calls. Happy hugz to all you Wonderful Wafflers. love Trifley X |

Hello all Wattlers, Back on deck again, got to catch up fast today and pay the bills! What a week – slightly damp here is the best we’ve managed, big black sky the other night dumped on Wagga, and last night Melb and a bit further north got wet, and we are just delicately steaming away under grey skies. It’s remarkable how patchy the rain is. Lara hope Tiger has improved by this end of the week, quite a performance for you both, will he be let home for the weekend? Vonny your trip planning sounds lovely, covering a lot of ground. If the Murray doesn’t have water in it by April we’ll all be in very very deep doo-doo lol. Jood, well, adventures all over for you!! Hope everyone is now safe and sound, whatever did we do before mobile phones, they sure have changed the way we can communicate. The rain will be a big belief in Benalla, and will get rid of some smoke too. Barb must be woman of steel to get through today, what a marathon. You’d better not plan on her doing the h…w tomorrow Tony! Sounds like Sarah has got the teen brain disease lol, the cure tales a few years I’m finding out! Judy DIY – what a novel idea for a party, I haven’t heard that one before and I bet it’s a lot of fun! Looking at the piccies in 25 yrs time will be even more fun!! Sandra I laughed over the back scratching – remember as kids peeling off the skin in sheets back in the 50’s when we didn’t know about sun damage! We had a nice quiet week, I haven’t cooked, just got Chinese takeaway which lasted several days, a cooked chook and a bag of salad with garden tommyatoes, crackers and cheese and some muesli for breakfast. Told everyone to help themselves! I like the little pool out at the Hume Weir Resort there’s never anyone much in it and it’s very picturesque. OH and I saw “The Queen” and enjoyed it, also hired some videos the best of which was “Motorcycle Diaries” which I am going to watch again tonight myself as DD will be on a late shift at Maccas. So I feel much more rested, but OH needs a bit more sleep to catch up, now says he has aches and pains from not being in his own bed!! Well have a nice weekend everyone, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ from Heather in Albury |

L'oz, my new one is a fisher & paykel with two drawers. It is quiet Jude. We had a big Simpson which has lasted about 25 years but it was very noisy. I love the drawers as just fill one for us, but use both when the family come :) Glad I'm not getting my hair cut today, Tony :) I'm currently waiting for Optus to answer their phone. Discovered yesterday that I can't opt out as I missed their deadline. Can they do that? Change your account and then not let you opt out? Apparently all the big companies have actually bought the rights to phone numbers. I think it is actually going to cost me more line rental with the new arrangement, which I didn't realise at the time. It is SOOOOOO difficult to get a straight answer and trying to wade through the paperwork / internet is a nightmare. :( Not happy Vonny |

Good Morning from a loverly wet wet wet Melbin - yeah and best of all - its cool - arrrrr - nice. Pity about all the car accidents though silly butters have forgotten what its like to drive in the rain. We have had 25mm at the cottage overnight as well. But the poor firies can't back burn or improve containment lines because of the rain. Thank goodness the travellers arrived safe Jood - what a relief. Princeth Loz we had to buy a new dishwasher and washing machine the week before christmas - (Kens chrissie present was the dishwasher and mine the washing machine -lol) I had my heart set on an ASKO first one we had lasted 18 years, then remodelled the kitchen and bought another one. However moved house 2 years later and left it behind. Next house had fisher paykel that was 6yrs old and I have been wanting it to die for the last 10 yrs - it was so noisy as well, the timing could have been better though. The new beaut dishwasher is an AEG came with 3yrs warranty + 3yrs extended warranty and a new 8 peice dinner set - bargain or what! Its soooo quiet and have now realized the fisher paykel must have been on the way out for a while. Ken doesn't care as long as he doesn't have to do the dishes - hates it with a passion. Got it from Clive Peeters - they will let you put the diswashers through a 'test drive' which is good.Has 5* water and power rating. If we move house again - this one is coming with me! How exciting for Princeth Lew - ice walking. Bet everyone who was seasick will be glad to hit the ice for something firm underfoot - lol Well better do some work I'd much rather be doing FH though -I'll pop back later. ~~~~~~ hi to everyone. xx jude We are off to a birthday party tonight for 2 - 25 yr olds.One of them being Jonathon, he has never wanted a party at any stage in his life for some weird reason. He and his mate (birthdays are 4 days apart) are having a combined party. They have hired a lawn bowls club for the night, 4 rinks to play bowls, the use of the BBQ and drinks at low prices. Guests have to come dressed as what they think they will look like at 50 yrs old. Makes it very easy for Ken and I - pmsl. One of their friends is a DJ - bet he want be playing our type of music though. MIght have to take some ear plugs. |

Morning, from a wet Melb City. Bucketed down last night from about midnight and still raining on and off at 10:30am in the suburbs. Heard on the radio in the car this morning that its helping the fires, and many firemen have been told they can go home for a break, and let the rain do its job.So thats good news. The air is fresh and clean, and that nice smell of wet grass you get after a downpour and 4-5 days of hot weather. Barb rolled in, or should i say fell in the door at 3:00am this morning, and i woke her at 7:30 am as i was leaving, as her first customer would be bashing on the Salon door at 8:30.....lol No Tennis for her today, as its Friday and she is booked solid. Have just arrived home for a quick cuppa, and her eyes look like she has been in a boxing match ( half closed )and she will suffer during the day.She is not happy with daughter Sarah at the moment,as she had found out that said Sarah had taken both Digi- Camera's to sisters house,( 30 kms away ) and was left without a Camera to take her happy snaps of her Tennis hero's. Could you all please say a prayer for daughter Sarah....cos she's gunna need all the prayers she can get when she comes home Sunday night ( amen )I said to Barb to take our Video Camera as it does Snap shots, but apparently Video Cameras are barred from the Tennis. Why Sarah needed both Cameras, i do not know, as i am but just a mere male...:>)) Wonder if Lew took any Ice-skates with her.? Can imagine her doing a Torvil & Dean on the Arctic Ice....lol Now that would be a good piccie..hee hee. Jood. Glad all is well with the boys, and they got home safe, mate. Sorry mate, i dont do perms, but i could....if they let me stick there fingers in a power point...:>)) *Instant Perm* Surpose i better go make madame a Cuppa and give her some toothpicks to stick up under the eyelids....lol then head back out on the roads and make a quid. Best wishes to all the sickies, and av a good un. Catcha ron Tony Oz....:>)) |

Good Morning Wattlers, another lovely day on the Bay. Thinking of Printheth Lew donning the thermals and wellies and heading out onto the ice. What a day she will have. Jood, glad Greg and your ex arrived OK, guess today will be a very slow one as the household recovers from the stress and worry. Go sit in the pool with the girls and have a good day! Oh no . . . rain at the tennis . . . Barcode will be beside herself . . . been some good games on though hasn't there. Well, war has been declared . . . TLR is in the bad books! I have just had to cancell the second appointment for him at the doctors to see about this ruddy foot. He had better not be complaining about it again until he does something himself, and he has been told . . . come Anzac day, and I will be walking to the cove with or without him!!! The sympathy and the TLC have gone . . . left the building . . . !!!! Nice to see Lyn drop in . . . yeah - see you next weekend. Shaz & Rob have invited Lyn, Mick, Ray & I to join them down the coast for the Australia Day weekend, so should be great. TLR has collected up his Aussie flags, ordered the lamb chops and made the wine selection - Oh and the music was being sorted last night tooo - noticed the CD case was full of Aussie and old rockers stuff so hope you can stand it. Cor we will have to have some trifle too wont we . . leave it with me. Tomorrow we will be out at the office painting - am guessing it will take up all of Sunday too as we are doing up a bigger office for TLR to move into. He wanted me to do two walls in the suede effect, but I talked him out of that (mainly cause it is such heavy going with the brush) - I did a few walls in the apartment downstairs with the suede a couple of years ago and it looked good but my arm hurt for weeks after I had done it. The desk and other furniture will get a going over again with the oil, dries out very quickly in summer. We rescued a beautiful old teak desk from out in the factory last year - couldn't believe when I saw it being used as a work bench with stuff spilt all over it. Did a complete overhaul and it is magnificent. Where is yah Yvette . . . get yourself back here girl, missing you. Morning Vonny, getting all exciting isn't it Morning Sandra - I had one of them wooden back sctratcher thingys but it broke . . . now I use one of those plastic spahetti spoons . . wonderful - rough and scratchy - and it gets a work out as I've had shingles across my shoulder blade and left me with nerve damage that feels like a constant itch. Edge on the shower screen works wonders too, other doorway edges here are rounded off too much to do the job. Dilema . . . the dishwasher dinny work last night !! Looks like I will have to go get a new on too Vonny. What brand did you end up getting ??? I just love a sparkly glass and I just hate washing up! Nearly up there with ironing! Found out yesterday where the town of Cobbera was . . . it is listed as place of residence on so many of my Magick family certificates. It was a little town between Dubbo and Dunedoo that no longer exists, so guess we will just have to go find it one day soon. Thought maybe from Mudgee we might go take a look in the area as its only a couple of hours drive. Sure to be an old graveyard still there some place, and may even find the old family homestead, 'Coretherbung' Printer wont work for me this morning - telling me it needs a drink of yellow, have spares for every other colour but no yellow so a shopping I must go. Best get a wiggle on or the day will be half gone. Have a great day . . . SMILE IT'S FRIDAY !!!! luv Laurie |

~~~~~~~~~ to Lyn, good morning to all. Much cooler this morning but we didn't have much rain :) Any champers will have to be drunk or poured over the boat - no way OH will let a bottle near it! :) I'll see what I can organise. Our itinerary is firming up - leave March - one week Great ocean rd, one week Goolwa area (boating +kangaroo is) one week Flinders/Coober Pedy, one week back on the river. Friends fly out 3rd April then we are on our own. Kids are staying in the house to mind animals for us. What we do for April - July depends on the water - but I haven't forgotten you Hz or Lara. :) I want to be home for Easter before we go again. Vonny |
Morning all the wattlers and anyone else passing through. Hi there Jood, long time no talk. I am currently visitor free until 10/2 then we start all the touristy things again. Not that I mind with this b-i-law as he is a hoot, with the most wonderful blackest of black sense of humour that I adore. See you crazy gals are still number watching!! I presume it was the cat again who snuck in. Best be off as I have a day at work ahead of me, will wish you ladies a wonderful day and hope to get on here again over the weekend. Lyn |
Morning all Well I did warn you about cat, getting the guns loaded, baits laid etc, but no-one took any notice - oh well, she had her fun!!! First up again in this household. The travellers arrived just before 2 last night. I had been asleep, but saw the lights of the car and trailer, so I knew all was well. I was worried about Greg, Laurie, as he had very little sleep. Bendigo got a fall of rain last night, steady, but I don't know how long it lasted for, probably not enough to do any good. When we google earthed Cheri's place, you could see all the properties were so brown and barren. But this morning I can see a few bits of green here and there in what was once lawn. How's barcode Barb standing up to all this tennis, Tony? Have you had to do any perms or haircuts while she is away on (enforced, hmmm) leave? Have a great day all, I'm off to feed myself. Love Jood |
