Well, your hot winds have arrived here, Hz. I suppose that means that the Thredbo fires have been whipped up too :( Very hot - I went to the library this morning and have been reading travel books for the areas we want to visit. Ditto Tony - Lovely ditty :) You are very clever. Mudgee is coming *said in a sing-song voice*. I'm looking forward to it. Vonny

Hi Wattlers, loveleee ditteee Toneee, I can just picture ya ! Have a nice evening Anna, enjoy the movie, and the P and Q. I know what you mean about the Big Day Out - haven't had to face that one yet. Local nightclub is doing the 12 - 15 disco thing tomorrow night and so DD wants to go - first time she's asked, and after all she's 6 months away from being too old lol ! Jood, it's blowing a gale up here, weather man said for Melbourne to watch out for big rain, you might get some too? Bet we miss out. Aren't kids great when they can entertain themselves without a screen!! You'll have to get them to tell you the stories of their long and interesting lives!! I'm feeling a bit smug as I managed this morning to get my data exported from Ancestry to PAF, first time I've played with a gedcom. Oh dear, I hear a cat - hmmmm - she's been washed and is not too happy, might go and help out, four hands required I think, catch you all later ~~~~ keep well~~~~ Hz (are we receiveing cooling vibes form the southernmost continent?)

All is quite, at my house...:>)) As i sit er'e all alone, not a caller on the phone, just wondering, if i should be a menace...:>)) The billy lid's not here, and its perfectly clear, that the little womans gone off to the Tennis. As i sit in my big room, s'pose that i could act a hoon, and cook meself a jolly spread upon the tables. But i stand er'e by meself and look upon the pantry shelf, What's the use!!!...the bloody tins aint got no labels...:>((( As the sun sinks in the West,I will try to do me best, and prepare meself a lovely... bolognaise. But there's no spaggetti left, perhaps its in the big ice chest..? OMG Its all gone too...no Happy days...:>((( Well i s'pose i could get up, and even call into a shop, and buy meself a chicken for me tea.? And the fridge is full of Beer, so that brought a little cheer, and the label still intact its says V.B...:>)) So i'le sit here at the pute, and turn the telly onto mute, and not listen to the Wife Scream......C'MON....LLLLLLEYNTON. Hi all, and Anna ! Yes, worn out I am, but not from the girls, or from doing anything - (must be the weather or something) Yes yes, still raining (in drops) - required an umbrella for shopping. Not hot tho. Those grand-daughters of mine sure know how to do a rain dance. A lot of ex m-i-l's stuff was unpacked for daughter yesterday - lots of scarves etc (the girls found a walking stick) - so their current 'play' mode has been dressups with lots of scarves over their head, and a bent back and walking stick. So much so (when we told them they couldn't keep the walking stick, daughter bought them each a wooden one from the $2 shop) - they are in their element! (they even talk like little old ladies) - and here's me trying to walk straight and upright and pretend I'm young hahaha Off to scrounge cuppa coffee Talk later Jood

Hi everyone As darling daughter is safely (???) at the coast ready for Big Day Out tomorrow, Chris and I are kicking up our heels tonight. That is if you can call dinner and a movie (The Queen) kicking up one's heels! So I'll have to check on the Lotto results after we get home. I'll keep everything crossed. I can't escape the feeling that I'm being very brave letting Katherine go to Big Day Out - she did go last year but I still worry! It's hard letting go the apron strings. She'll be 17 this year so I know I've got to allow her some independence. Mary - have a wonderful night tonight - enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! Jood - you're quiet - those girls tire you out? And to all those who are ominously quiet - Yvette, Ducks, SuzyQ, Lara - hope all is well in your little corner of the world. Tony - this is a little bit rude but when you were talking about dressing up it brought to mind a couple I know who turned up at a fancy dress party. He had a piece of string tied around his waist with a potato tied to it dangling down over his fly. She had a piece of string around her waist with a lemon dangling over the same area. They came as a dictator and a sour puss.....!!!!!!!!!!! Best go before I get banned!! XX Anna

Aaahhh...Lyn....you heard about Graeme and Mark putting together my display cabinet, didn't you? I kept telling them the IKEA instructions had smiley faces but they said it wasn't a smiling matter. It doesn't help when my lot are the type which only use the instructions as a last resort. Quote from Royal consort...'The instructions are only for women or people who don't know what they're doing'. Needless to say the bump on his head from the fry pan is healing nicely. Mary.....enjoy your night away....eat plenty! TX

Wish your dad a Happy birthday from us, Tassie. Jillaroo. Love your story about the dressed up dummy....lol We love fancy dress do's, and iv'e dressed up as a few characters over the years. Frankenstien, Robin Hood, A Judge, and at my 50th ( only last year..E'rm )...:>))) i dressed up as a 50s Rocker. Barb dressed as a Play girl bunny...lol One of my girls dressed as Charlie Chaplin, and another dressed as a School girl ( with pig tails ) and another as Morticia ( out of the Adams Family ) and Sarah as a Genie. Great fun. Barb is off to the Tennis ( Day & Night ) with girlfriend today. They are on centre court, so i hope they close the roof, as its very O/cast here and possible stom brewing somewhere. At least its a much cooler day, and much needed rain. Hope everyone has a great day, whatever your doing. Healing thought to all who are not the best. Av a good un Thought for the day: Good judgment comes from bad experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment Tony Oz...:>))

Good Morning all. Have actually got back into research again after a long break as got contacted by a guy in UK enquiring about my tree, turned out he is my cousins son and have not seen or heard from coz in near on 40 yrs. Mmm - Vonny your purchase on Ebay conjures up thoughts of you receiving this bundle of stuff minus any instructions and you have to work out how to put it all together - good luck. Akin to the Ikea flat packs that just contain the picture of the smiling cartoon character carrying the box home and the limited instructions make it look so darn simple. 200 toggles, screws, bolts later it does eventually look like the picture on the box!! Have a good weekend all - my lot are off to the Rugby Union down in Wollongong tonight so have the house to myself...... Lyn

Happy Birthday to your dad Tassie - actually youngest son is down in Tassie at the mo. He has a wedding to go to this weekend, then he is going to travel about for a few weeks. Guess what??? I just registered, bid and bought on eBay this morning!!!! All in the space of 1 hour :) I bought a 2/4 person hiking tent for $7 :) plus $29 postage. But I priced cheap tents at K-Mart the other day and the cheapest was just on $40 so I still come out ahead as long as it is what it said it was. But really - we only need it to last for 6 months anyway. What fun :) ~~~~~~~~~~ to all Vonny

Morning all, Glad everything turned out okay for your menfolk Jood as someone else said, how did we ever manage without mobile phones. You sound bright and cheery Trifley, good to hear, ciberwise that is, enjoy your time in Montville, Ron and I went there just for the day a couple of weeks ago, that shirt I was wearing at the GC meet came from there. No sign of our Ducky, come on Ducky we miss you and SuzyQ and Yvette, show yourselves, not the same without you all Tony I love the story of the painted toenails, sort of tricks Ron and I play on each other, small story, I had a dinner party one Valentines weekend and the theme was to come dressed as famous couples, Ron and I dressed as Hagar and Helga. well one friend was coming alone as her husband was working away so I made this dummy and stuffed it with what you use for bean bags, we put a blown up photo of her oh's face on it and dressed it as Superman. Since then Ron and I try to scare the living daylights out of each other by placeing this dummy in unexpected situations like in the bathroom sitting on the loo, at night, butter! it sure gives you a fright to find this thing sitting there when you turn the light on. good fun, he he, To everyone not feeling the best big hugs. luv Jillx
