Morning all.. Hot day today but nice,,We have the A/C on which helps. We had a lovely night at the Four Seasons Hotel and had a lovely room with a fantastic view of the harbour. This morning a lovely cruise boat came in to Circular Quay, and the ferries were rushing in and out. Quite lovely. We had a great meal last night and pre dinner drinks in the bar. After dinner we went back to the bar and had coffee and I had spied a coffee that I wanted when we were having our brandy and dry and ordered it,, It was so yummy with 2 liquers in it .. Didnt need a martoonie after that. Went back to our room and watched the tennis (sad) and this morning we had a lovely buffet breakfast included in the prize. Dont need to eat for a week,,Took some pickles from our room so will send some out.. I now need a coffee so back later Love Mary xxxxx |

Morning from a much cooler Melbin. Rained on and off all day yesterday, and O/cast skies today with a cool wind blowing. Jood. I see your adjusting to Vic. weather mate...lol Stinking hot one day. Freezin cold the next. Barb fell in the door at 2:30am this morning with a look of devistation on her face. Her beloved Leynton was knocked out of the Tennis, but she did enjoy watching him play, and loves her tennis overall. We are off to grandson James ( J.A.G ) 1st birthday party today. Just seems like yesterday i was announcing his birth on this thread. Wishing everyone a great day, whatever you are doing. Tony Oz....:>)) |

Morning Wattlers I was woken to a strange sound at aboout 6 am this morning, had to lay there for a few minutes to work out what it was........................ It was rain, not just light misty stuff, but heavy downpour Yipeee!!!!!!! Bet Barb is as unhappy as me today Tony, boo hoo Lleyton is out, I didnt see Barb at Tennis, was too engrossed in Tele to look at our thread. Oh well all I can say now is roll on footy season only a few weeks now :-)))))))))))))) Dad had a good day yesterday and he looked real well, sometimes he doesnt look too good, but he never lets on if he is not well. I didnt have a real good nights sleep last night, a too active mind I think, found out yesterday that Nan and Pops old farm is now a Bed and Breakfast place. I used to love going to the farm and would spend most of my Christmas holidays with Nan and Pop. The owners have built a guest house on the property and when they first sold the place they said the family could come and have a look anytime they liked, it is now a deer farm. I am thinking I would love to go and stay a night there to see what its like now, its been about 16 years since the farm was sold. But then Im not sure if I will be saddened by any changes that more than likely would have been done, mmmm should I remember the place as it was, or should I go and have a look???????? Trifley, probably have missed you, hope you have a great holiday. ~~~~~~ to Ducky~~~~~ those bed bugs must have been biting me last night. Hope everyone has a great day. Cheers Sue |

I'm here Gwenda - just. I've been sleeping in here longer (well, I dont exactly rush to get out of bed) It was actually cold last night, cool this morning. No more rain, but greyish clouds. I DO NOT mind this cool weather!!!!! My dreams of getting a great suntan before Mudgee have been shattered :( - oh well, I can always wear neck to knees lol Happy trip to Trifley, Happy launching to Vonny, Happy 2nd or is it 3rd or 4th honeymoon to Mary, Happy painting to Laurie, Happy reunion Tony, Happy day to everyone else. (sorry) but geez I'm cold !!! Hope Mr D has been good JA. The resident siamese here (Kara) - jumped up on my lap the other day while I was sitting here, climbed onto my shoulder and thence to the back of the high chair behind me and sat looking at me in the mirror on the wall in front of the computer ! She is one of the gentlest cats Cheri has had. The others were gentle, but didn't realise they weren't contracting their claws sometimes :( I always had claw marks in me. Kara travels well down to the beach house, is quite used to the car and different houses. Shhhhh! I think I will make a cuppa before the rest wake up - and the sunday paper is sitting invitingly on the table, where the golfer put it earlier. *creeps out* Jood |

Someone mentioned Kangaroo Island earlier on this thread? We went there in Nov 05 and took b-i-law from UK too. Did a Gourmet Safaris tour with Maeve O'Meara and had the most amazing time. Everything from food through to accommodation was simply just amazing. I would recommend this island to anyone who loves unspoilt beauty, amazing food, gorgeous down to earth people and not a McDonalds in sight.... Lyn . |

Sorry folks - think it's only 2 and a sup Vonny - I was going to KI for my honeymoon in 1974 and it was expensive then - didn't get there cos I didn't get married and OH won't go cos he's already been with his ex - her dad ran one of the pubs. No wonder Aussies travel o/s - we are pricing ourselves out of the reach of ordinary tourists. Gwenda |

Vonny - you need to be in Coober Pedy now - there's water, water everywhere - actually you'd need the boat from Port Pirie up. Just checking The Advertiser for something else and they were showing piccies of all the areas that have flooded. The weather map shows a big band of wet weather covering quite a bit of the country - just hope everyone gets a share Gwenda |

You'll never guess, the two little girls (the old ladies) - got to ride on my ex (decd) m-i-l's gopher. Unfortunately ex has temporarily misplaced the key, so they have to be pushed around. I thought it was so ironical they were dressing up and playing old ladies, with walking sticks and then later riding on the gopher! Actually I wanted a go too, I was gonna do a burn round the dry old lawn, but ... no key :( (can just see myself in one of those complete with flat - NOT!) hahaha Ooooooh Tony - you doooo miss Barb heaps lol by the way I emailed you.
