Morning Wattlers Gee woke up this morning to grey sky and windy, but still no rain, but it is threatening.was supposed to rain on Sat and Sun, then yesterday. I will do my best to be here and raise a glass to Trifley on completion of her dreaded .... Tony well let me see where can we start .................. we will first google earth and look down on all at Mudgee and hope they are behaving theirselves .......... nah that wont be happening, so it would be a waste of time ............. Oh hang on whos that guy playing the guitar ............. that trickster Tony who said he wouldnt be at Mudgee haa haa got caught out :-)))))))))))) Shazz, Merle would have to think that she is out East, not West or she would be in the ocean lol, Sounds like you had the best time imaginable, sooooo for all us sticky beaks that will probably miss out, what is happening in June??????????? Morning All, Firstly, Hooray for HRH, celebrations in order tonight for you on your last day of dreaded !!!!, will raise a glass or two in honour LEW, WELCOME HOME, hope you behaved yourself accordingly to the wattle tradition whilst swanning around with the Princess, did you manage to snavel a piccy of her holding wattie or did you not want him to lower his standing LOL Goodness, might have to send search party out to find the bug hunter, havent seen her around much, do you think that little tricycle of hers has a flat tyre Oohh I dont think our dispenser of coloured pills needed to venture so far away for her to earn the title of official brat, didnt she earn that years ago, hee hee, sorry doc, just kidding Merle, shame about missing out on Mudgee bash, but never fear, someone Im sure will organise another crazy get together and you will be able to go, but we will have a drink each for all the wattlers that are not able to attend but are with us in spirit, (spirit as in drinks, not death) lol, maybe you and Tassie can have your own special night on the 17th and pretend you are out west with us Tony, hope you havent made too much of a mess on computer with all your dribbling mate, but I sure gotta say, that there fish tasted ABSOLUTELY Yummie, whats this about you not coming to Lews, have you changed your mind? Fanny, whats going on, have I missed something, are you not well?? Mary, sorry you wont be able to make it to Mudgee, would love to see you again, but Johns health is more important, best wishes to him, certainly hope they find the problem real soon, BUT remember to look after yourself also Jood, you home yet or still nomadding around, are you not coming to Mudgee also?? Ouch Anna, you sticking you finger where its not supposed to have been, sure sounded painful Well, what a weekend I had this Australia Day, it was the best ever, Lyn and Mick arrived around 10ish, and TLR and Loz at approx 12.30, hugs and kisses all round and then into a nice hot cuppa. As you all saw from the great piccles Loz snapped, there was an abundance of food and drinks followed by gaggles of laughter. A few twinges of anxiety (with reservations of shying out) by a couple of peeps but within 5mins exclamations of (gee what was I worried about) it was just like a big family get together. As for me supposedly being the hostess, I had the laziest 3 days in a long while, Lyn took over the kitchen duties and TLR with his cooking skills was the master of all chefs, (dont go Ray, dont go, come back), whoops got a bit carried away there Loz, just kidding, you can have him back after he finishes at the Barbie, (poor old barbeque didnt know what hit it, never had such a workout in all its 16yrs). I am not going to duplicate what Laurie has written as she has said it all, just to say that Rob and I had the best time, only sorry that the weekend had to come to an end, went ever so fast, in no time at all it was Sunday and we were waving Laurie and Ray goodbye, (bad luck for Ray having a meeting on Mon) it was time for Mike to have another cuppa and set off off another short walk. Monday morning is upon us and after light breakfast Lyn and Mick are packed and now are also on their way home. With the weather being as we could have wished, the food excellent (prawns, lamb chops, bacon, salads), and the mouth tingling bubbly, (champagne breakfast every morn) what made it so complete was that we had spent it with the MOST WONDERFUL DELIGHTFUL company that we have encounted in so many years, THANK YOU, Lyn, Mick, Laurie, Ray, YOU SIMPLY ARE THE BEST, roll on June Shaz ~~~~ to All

Morning all. Wow Vonny - I'm impressed! .. Never seen you here so early - although I must admit I am later than usual. Good luck at the dentist. .. They don't worry me (only the bill at the end of the visit). JA - I went to turn over in bed early this morning, it was a bit nippy, pulled the rug up - it wouldn't pull - hmmmmm. .. I had Cara the siamese cat curled up by my side.. No idea how she got in the bedroom. She is the friendliest Siamese. They take her down to Tower Hill in her cat cage - 3 ½ hours drive, not a peep out of her. She knows that house was well as this one, and doesn't stray. She entertains the neighbourhood cats from Tower Hill - lauding it over them on the balcony. .. Her best friend in Bendigo is a huge fluffy siamese cat of the same colour (personally I think the short hair are nicer). School books and pencils almost done. Gee they have it easy these days. .. All the labelled stickers supplied - I think I stuck labels on about 70 pencils, coloured, lead and ink, and glue sticks. Gone are the days of covering your books. .. It will be an exciting day for the kids tomorrow. I know how I used to feel on the first day of school term - a bit of anticipation, a bit of apprehension, and a bit of excitement. Before I forget, could skp please forward me a copy of Merles first pics? .. She has lost my address again, and I still haven't emailed her with it. Have a good day all. Love Jood

Hellooo Wattlers, Have had a good catchup read tonight, lmao over the carnivores, having had a splendiferous meat bbq on Australia Day with friends. The weekend went too quickly. I got the veg garden tidied up, having eaten the snow peas, beans, corn, tomatoes and potatoes. Have turned it over and mulched and wait now for rain before I can think of what to plant next. Still got two prolific cherry tomatoes producing, so water them with my shower water every day! Hubby’s shower water goes on the lemon tree and DD’s in some pots up the sideway. I have let some 20 yr old azaleas and hydrangeas go to heaven. Merle, Mary,Tassie and Tony, I’m not able to get to Mudgee either…. :(( well, we’ll just have to play while the cats are away…. Welcome home Lew, looking forward to hearing all about your experiences. Mary, all the best to John this week, I’ll be thinking of him on Friday. Butter all that city driving though – better have early nights so you leave plenty of time and don’t get frazzled. In Sydney I’d be totally lost. And Trifley – what a milestone, nearly at the end now, can you believe it? Well done. Anna, I’ve got similar activities to you this week, last minute exercise books, pens, hair cut etc, DD goes back on Wednesday. She has averaged 20 hrs paid work per week since Dec 18th this summer, I’m very proud of her. She’s only going to continue with 4 hrs a week at the shopping centre in term time though. Ouch your finger nail sounded painful, tetanus shot covers you for ten years by the way, one of the longer immunizations. Laurie I like to hear about your archive adventures, it’s amazing what a treasure trove is there and I’m annoyed that my lot are so far all Victorians. Sounds as though you had a great time with Shazz and Rob, I’ll look at the pickles tomorrow as it is now very late and I must get to bed or I’ll turn into a pumpkin. Evening Wattlers . . . Had a lovely little chat to the Ith Pritheth this arvo . . . she has so much to tell . . . all sounds so amazing . . . really great to have her home! She is officially a member of the 'Brat Pack' I think she said it was . . . and jolly proud of it too . . . teehee For those asking where Shaz & Rob have their beach house . . . It is at Manyana . . . south of Nowra . . . about a 3 hour drive south for us. A lovely spot that hasn't been developed as much as some . . . very quiet and peaceful, still lots of trees around so plenty of birds. OKAY WATTLERS . . . HERES THE PLAN . . . Tomorrow evening we all grab a little drink and toast our great Queen - in honour of the last kemo session. So see you on here about 6pm for those that can make it !! Evening Wattlers Anna, sorry it took a while to get back to you, we went out for a visit to my cousins for a while. When Tamika went for the group interview she had a few things to do and yes it did take about 1 1/2 they had group discussions, one on one interviews, they had to pair off and talk to each other for a few minutes then they had to speak in front of the group to tell them what they remembered about the other person, they also had an group activity on problem solving. Mary and Merle when the others are having their Mudgee meet we will have to have the best cyber meet ever. Now couldnt we talk up a storm, have to start thinking on what we can do, of course we will have to message each other and not put our ideas on here or those going to Mudgee will find out what we are up too :-)))))) Is there anyone else not going to Mudgee that are going to join us?? I guess we are all anxiously awaiting Lew's account of her trip. And to think our Wattie is famous now (if he wasn't before, that is). Love to Fanny, especially. Tony, I have got that way that if a competition comes up I think 'will I' - and then I think 'naaaah' wots the use ! hahaha (that I should be so lucky). Still cool here tonight, didn't get too hot today otherwise I would have suggested the pool. Probably wouldn't have worried the girls, but I would be shivering before too long the way the wind was blowing. Hey, I am not complaining. I love these sunshiny days and cool nights (wish son in law wouldn't turn the evaporative system on when he gets home tho :( - in my eyes, its not really hot enough, oh well, I will put a jacket on !!! I think you lot are rotton skiting on about Mudgee when there's tassie over on her little island all alone and poor little me all alone over here. Really, its very insensitive of you all but as none of you have any sense anyway I suppose you can't help it .Merle leaves hurriedly out of the way of wine bottles and vb cans Just you wait she mutters darkly we'll turn the tables one day won't we Tas? We've absolutely cooked here today and it's still ,just starting to cool down 28 at the moment. Of course it's really only 5p.m. if we weren't on silly time.! One of our 'extra' daughters has just brought round our invite for her 50th birthday. She's having a B.B.Q lunch for the OLDIES so that himself can take part and the rest are going out to dinner so I told her she better book me in for the dinner or I won't take himself for lunch. G'day Wattlers. I've had a busy day today. A blood test this morning, then grocery shopping, then a visit from my nephew, David. I looked at the clock amazed at where the time has gone. Well.....the last treatment tomorrow! Big celebrations in the Royal household tomorrow night for sure. Only one more trip through the wilderness and then.......good health. And, of course.....Mudgee is only about 19 sleeps away! Glad to hear the Ice Printheth arrived home safely.....what would the Mudgee meet have been without her? Mary....I'll be thinking of you and John this week. Give him a big healing hugz for me. Anna....you can't get tetanus!
