Hellooooo everyone Just popping my head around the door to say Hi. Been cleaning cupboards out in the garage and being ruthless with a lot of my old teaching resources. Giving some away and chucking out the rest. One good thing - I was going through old posters some of which were in cardboard cylinders and in one cylinder were 4 poster size photographs which my son David must have had done 10 years ago. Two of them were landscapes that he had taken. The other 2 were of him. I couldn't believe it - they had been sitting there all this time. They need to be spread out flat for a while to get the curl out of them but otherwise thay are in perfect condition. It's funny - he is always popping up in some guise to say hello. I was scanning photos of him taken before he died just a few days ago - and now this! Hope all the students returning to or starting school are in good spirits. Katherine has had a good start to the year and seems happy so touch wood it will continue that way. She thinks she must have got the job with Woollies - they told her that the unsuccessful candidates would be emailed the next day and she hasn't received an email so she is hopeful. Seems a funny way to do it. They will email the successful candidates with details of training sessions so she's hanging out for that. Hi Trifles - one more wilderness to get through and you are home and hosed. Hugzzzzz. How is retirement going Flakey - did you enjoy your first day of freedom? Catch you all tomorrow XX Anna PS Laurie - did you fix the dryer or did you chuck it over the balcoonie?? Just don't electrocute yourself before Mudgee!

Ooooh Lara lol, I can just picture you and his nibs , sounds like you are being very strong and persevering through all the trials and tribulations (His and Hers). Cor Laurie, where exactly did January go, whoosh by me that’s for sure. Albury has been packed to the gunnels all month –coooeee out there, it’s supposed to be holiday time, go away, find a beach, a mountain, a foreign land, not a shopping centre near me ! We haven’t stopped this year, usually there is a lull but now it’s already back to school. Please keep up the giraffe reports, I love opening up the computer in the office and seeing your beach scene. Flakey – retirement! ? do tell more, I’ll be an understudy “cos my turn is surely coming! Jilly, hope I’m not too late to wish you a wonderful trip do report back as we armchair enthusiasts love to hear how the other half live! Mary and John, blessings for tomorrow, you are in good hands you know. Looking forward to a good result. Jood you are having a real treat visiting for so long plus getting in some fh, hope you can get a copy of the signature (if you don’t have it already), will be thinking of you driving, perhaps it won’t get as hot as predicted. I hope not, my oak tree is turning and dropping leaves, I’m just hoping it is a defensive mechanism, because I can’t water it. Every day is a day closer to rain. Great pickles in my other ‘puter this afternoon, Merle and other half, and Wattie on Ice – hey Lew, we’re hanging out here for the full goss you know, but of course you’ve had the restaurant to run since returning (Terry and friends lol) perhaps when things are quiter next week you can let us know if you really got seasick or not. What I want to know is, do the penguin colonies smell, or is that only the sea lions? Well Anna, Donna, G’pa Tony, we are all united in the fact that the kids are back at school. So far so good, DD is very happy with her teachers and classes, having left behind one or two hindrances (by moving up in Maths yippee!) and has volunteered for First Aid in the Wednesday elective, funnily enough several times she has said she wouldn’t mind being an ambulance driver, I haven’t commented but it’s interesting to see her choose her interests. Well I have been writing this on and off for some time and OH will be home quite soon so I need to do the fish, haven’t mentioned everyone sorry esp Shazz (you always make me laugh!), Sandra ( hope the cousin meet went well honey!) Catch up with you all another day Mwah ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Heather

Bingo Tony, :) Just had a phone call from my rediscovered 'Aunty' - really a cousin and aged 97 - and she says Alice was born in Manchester. She doesn't have any other concrete info but says that Alice had a brother Robert and a sister Ann/e/ie. ?????? Where do I look for passenger info? Between 1859 and 1882? Aunty Marjorie is going to copy - by hand - all her information to send to me. She said it will give her something to do!!! Vonny

Arvo Wattlers...:>)) Bewdiful sunny day in Melbum, but noticing the nights ( late ) are very crisp, with just that little tiny bit of condensation on the car roofs. Full moon last night and very clear. JudeYV. Passed by your way today ( work ) heading for Bayswater. Was gunna drop in for a cuppa, but was running late. Barb is 3 or 4 days into her Diet, and doing well. Shes turned into a soup aholic ( Vege ) and is following the Heart foundation diet. 3 days of Vege soup, and a bit of fruit. Last night it was Salad and allowed one spud. Today for lunch she was allowed fruit, and tomorrow a peice of meat ( Chicken or Beef ) so will get some Oyster blade tomorrow and wack up some stir fry in a wok. ( no oil ) with some shallots, capsicum, snow peas, baby carrots, and baby corn. We are walking each night, about 5kms.....so this should also help the kilo's to pound off. Not that i need to lose weight myself....lol.... as i already look like a picket fence with the wood scraped off , but i like to support her in her efforts, and walking is good for you regardless of weight, and wont do me ol ticker any harm either. When i eat, i try to eat on the decking so she dosent haffta drewl, and feel a bit guilty watching her eat rabbit food. But she is a determined little vegemite, and feels that at 56 coming up this year, now its time to take a bit of excess off the body, and strain off the legs. Joodle. Safe travelling to you mate. Kyneton is where me dad was born, and i think we disscussed about the Conway surname...? ( cant remember ) My Conway's being from Kilmore. 1840s ( Son in laws family ) My two older grandkids started school today Dean & Britney...both 5 year olds... ( Grade 1 )....so they will ring me tonight to tell me all about it. Should be interesting....lol Best wishes to everyone not the best. Av a good un. Tony Oz...:>))

Afternoon Wattlers Lara that is great news with Jamie, just proves yoou have to have faith, prayers and a lot of positive thinking and we can overcome obsticles. Not going to ask how the weight is going yet as it may still be too soon to see a significant loss, keep going and soon you will see the difference, maybe some leg exercises may help, you know the excercises you do when swinging leg as if to kick say a footy, or someone up the b*m to get them moving pmsl. Shaz soooooooo you didnt like your stress test today pmsl, I shouldnt laugh as I have to go to the hospital occasionally for a stress/rest test, but mine would be a bit different, they wont let me on the bike or treadmill :-( Merle I got the pics of you and himself and of course Casey she is lovely. Did you get the ones I took when we went to Wineglass Bay? If you didnt get them and would like them just let me know. Cheers Sue

Good day all . Honey I'm back ! sorry lack of being on but just so pooped most of the time both having only 400 calories a day sorta leaves a bit on the b*****ed sideand running around after a very demanding Tiger too he keeps saying he is trying to help em lose weight I'll give him help me if he doesn't improve his mobility real soon theres a trial in Melbourne about a woman who is supposed to have bumped off her old man well if tiger dear whinges once more about the fact did I warm the tea pot did I put three sugars in did I add more boiling water to the tea pot He will be joining my DEAD people ARRGGGHHH Had a yak via email to Ducky last night though and she is ok , and hopefully will be back soon . Lew the photos were terrific and Wattie looked as though he got on real well with the penguins was the Cruise all you expected and was the food good and what about that other princess did you get to' How ya going' to her For all the old wattlers I had a call from my nephew Jamie today and he said he had a brain scan they found one and it is PERFECT and also the heart problem that he had after the accident so now he is still having trouble with one eye and his left arm and knee which since the accident have grown extra bone which is apparently a common thing after brain damage and broken bones so he has to wait till about the middle of the year to be operated on to remove these extra pieces of bone teh he will be able to get into rehab and get mobile again , you know he has been home in Queensland for over 6 months and is still waiting for the carer he so supposed to have and said his mother is really tired out from taking him on a three hundred kms trip each week to Bunderberg for Phsio as they have no Physio in their town no social worker either . Even on one crutch still he is walking around the block each day with his little dog and is very proud of that , so Miracles do happen don't they . For those who don't know Jamie was declared Brain dead after a car accident in Victoria in the October of 2005 but his mum refused to let them turn of his breathing machine and he pulled through . Fanny havn't read all the pages I have missed so if you are not well get better soon Mary, how is John please thinking of him . Morning all I've been lurking. .. Havent left yet. .. We are going down to Kyneton today - hope to see some of the mini museum of family history - Our rellie to the side was the registrar of the day - a female, she signed all the bd & m certificates. .. Should be a nice day out. It's tomorrow I head for Lockhart and meet anothe rellie on Dad's side (not really a blood rellie - her late hubby was the son -- ohhh I''ll have to check my family history again, but this lady knew the infamous Mary who ran away, eloped and swopped surnames with her boyfriend - and I'm hoping to hear more of naughty Mary. .. Then I head for Cowra on Sunday, have a good rest, and then home on Monday, but have a 40 min drive for an appt at noon (bad planning)! .. No rest for the wicked. .. I've been warned the weather will be in the 40's at Lockhart. :(( . I've been lucky with the weather todate. We went off to school yesterday with the girls to see them to their new classes. .. I love the schoolroom set up today - much better than when we went to school. Have a good one Love Jood
