Evening Wattlers Well we have got our books and everything all ready for school. Heather no they are going back to school at the same time as usual. Tassie is still on 3 terms, they only get a bit over a week at Easter, but some think it is as close as a term break. Tamika went to her dentist appointment and the news was not real good. She has a complaint which in one tooth has a disease that is eating away at the tooth, but on the inside, the dentist was going to drill insde and take out a the bad area and push in some medicated stuff and seal the tooth, this was to be done every 3 months till it was better, but after tests and an exray it was decided that the tooth nerve was dead and she needs a root canal. So now it will mean a dentist trip every 4 weeks starting on Tuesday :-( Judy DIY ooooh Im sooo jealous. Me being a Leo I love any type of big cat, and would swap places without hesitation, please give him a pat for me. Cheers Sue

OOooooohhh Jude - you'll have a ball with the cheetahs - they haven't mauled anyone yet - course there is always a first - pmsl You only get to sit behind them to pat so that they would have to turn themselves right over to have a go at you. Dave and I did the behind the scenes tour for our 25th WA and that was fun - we didn't stay for the snakes - Dave's not a fan - lol Now apparently they include feeding the giraffes - they weren't there when we did our tour so will have to do another. Hope Ken's eye is okay - sounds nasty & very yucky. Hope your dad will be okay too. My Mum was off to the Repat today to have a specialist look at her leg - she's had an ulcer for over 12months if not longer and the treatment so far hasn't improved the situation - she's quite fed up to put it mildly. Not helped by the fact that she suffers with fluid retention. Will ring her later to see what happened. Don't think I'll bother growing old-er - nothing but a health hazard........... Had some success with FH this arvo - guess who's dreaded didn't get a look in - oh dear, so sad, too bad - it'll still be there tomorrow Gwenda

Hi Wafflers so I bought a dud ticket - have to keep trying. Have finally caught up on my wednesday reading (back pages of the watters) Happy birthday (belated ) to our Queen, hope you had a wonderful day and were spoilt rotten! Fluffy so glad to have you back. Mary thank goodness John is home (happy birthday) he will be sure to get better faster! Might send you round the twist though being a 24hr nursie. Heard from Lara is a hard job - pmsl. Ooooo Fan thought we had lost you for a while there, wish u could pop in more often. Flakey don't strain yourself in to getting into a routine let it all just evolve lol. Kirsty and Chris are staying in the Cowarump (sp ?) caravan park - Caves Road. Isn't that near your sis? Kirsty is working at Cullens the bio-dynamic winery during the day and Relish Italian Restaurant in Margaret river of a night. I couldn't remember the name of the winery you recommended (craft moment) lol. Can you refresh my memory please. Our eldest David is the 5 th of february, Ken the 8th (tomorrow) he is going to be 55. He nearly didn't make it with 2 eyes, whacked himself yesterday in the left eye when a pair of pliers slipped. Luckily he didn't have his specs on or there could have been more damage. He got a lot of dirt and muck in the eye and split the inside of his eyelid. Took him to the Doc's and they cleaned it up and gave him some drops, luckily doesn't appear to be any other damage, but has a great swollen eye luckily not a shiner. My poor Dad isn't too good at the moment he has to go in for a rebore, psa went from 4 to 24, and in 2 weeks to 44. Now going to do a MRI tomorrow as he has had a lot of backache the last 2 months. At least they are being thorough. Its a worry though. At 85 he is a tough old fella, I'm sure he will be ok. Talking of birthdays, on our drive home from Mudgee have to detour to Canberra zoo - Ken & I have 15 mins patting and being photographed with the cheetahs. Its actually our birthday present to one another. Its going to be a bit different to having Cleo headbutt us - lol. My poor Mum is worried we are going to get mauled - told her well I'll get my 2 mins of fame on the news then. Its a good thing Ken likes to drive -lol - just a slight(?) detour for him - pmsl. Well back to the grind, my excuse was I stopped for 5 mins for a cuppa - well I can now drink my tea straight down - its lukewarm! good excuse for another. catch u tomorra xxx Jude.

Tassie your kids are going back late this year ! I'm so glad to be back in a routine. DD is very very happy with her classes, so we've hit the ground running this year. Lovely to have such positive news, Mary. One step at a time :) Thought we might get a shower this morning - but no. Gwenda - we didn't get any of your rain last night either :( We haven't had any this side of town for so long. Having screen doors fitted at the moment - going to be nice to be able to have doors open but insects out!. Also more security. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Vonny

He is doing so well and can get out of a chair without having to pull himself up so things are looking up..We are ever hopeful...we will have to wait and see what happens when the swelling goes down..he is still on painkillers but each day is a improvement.. Hope all are having a nice day and will pop back later to see what you have all been up to,, Love Mary xxxxx

Afternoon Wattlers, Everyone must be out lunching or busy doing the dreaded - very quiet on here Orthodontist appt went well and when Dayna is back in March her braces will come off - talk about good timing - then she will just have retainers. The few days she is home in March she has 3 dental appts - 2 with orthodontist and 1 with dentist so can see a busy week all up. Just had phone call from Dave - he was at Caboolture and hoping to make Rocky tonight, then onto Townsville tomorrow so should be able to meet Dayna at airport on Friday. Slept in the car last night - was a bit stiff this morning - 6'2' squished in a Lancer doesn't fit too well. Lew - just confirming 2 for Sunday lunch at restaurant and if need be I'll volunteer Dave for chauffeuring duty. Don't stress over the bus thing as I'm sure we can all work something out - we're not Wattlers and Aussies for nuthin' off to do my own dreaded Gwenda

Morning Wattlers and I start with a small problem. Can't seem to find us a bus for the Sunday Mudgee Meet, so this is what I propose. Is there anyone coming who would be willing to drive? I, of course, will drive our Challenger which would accommodate Jood, Loz, TLR & Flakey. So is there anyone else out there who would be willing to be chauffeur? Alternatively, peeps might like to do their own 'tour' and just meet us at the restaurant for lunch. I also need final numbers for the restaurant. In relation to Friday night, my 'household' will be going to the Lawson Park Hotel where we can cook our own steak, or order from the menu. Meet there at say 7.30pm Please let me know what everyone thinks, but, in the meantime, I will endeavour to secure a bus if possible. HRH Dr IP

Morning Wattlers, Overcast here and cool at mo - well 20 - had a bit of the wet stuff overnight too Now what's with all the birthdays this month - apart from the 1st and 4th there's been a birthday every day with peeps I know, next one is next Wednesday - glad I haven't had to buy you all a pressie - I'd be broker than I am right now Off to orthodontist this morning - daughter may have to make other arrangements while she's in Cairns - back home in 6 weeks if he wants to see her then but after that it's tooooo expensive to fly in and out just to see him Haven't heard from Dave so hope everything is going okay on his drive north. If Nelson has to hit hope he does it sooner rather than later. Sorry Shazzle you had to talk to yourself - didn't go to bed until nearly 1 so no way was I out early - well around 5.30 to let Ginger out but straight back to bed and more shut eye till 7.30 Hope everyone has a lovely day - a lunch cruise on the harbour sounds lovely Laurie Off to finish getting ready to go Gwenda Forgot - Congrats Vonny - how exciting - and you were having a hard time with this family - not anymore by the sounds of things.

Good Morning Wattlers. . . Its alright Shaz . . . just dont go answering yourself . . !! Lovely looking morning on Botany Bay, its a good time of the year - sun is in the right spot to make the giraffe look mysterious as it creeps up behind them. Four giraffe looking down from above this mornings! Still a bit of cloud cover, but lots of gaps too !! Think the day has the makings of a hot one. Hope those man-patients are coming along fine, John & Tiger . . how lucky are those two guys to have lovely 'Wattler' women to look after them !! ((hugs)) for those not feeling on top of things . . . I'm offf to lunch today, meeting friends from ooop norf (Good old Qlder's) think I will take them for a harbour cruise lunch to make sure they get a good look at Sydney from the best angle. Then a wee bit of retain therapy in the City. So best get a move on and get the dreaded done . . . Have a great day . . . luv Laurie xo

Lew & I had been talking about all going to the pub in the main street on the Friday night anyone who is interested . . . they have one of those places where you throw your own steak on the barbie.
