Morning Wattlers. look out Mudgee...it anyone knows any of the locals , better warn them now....lol Spent the past 2 days in Geelong. Mum is ok and back home on her own. She had the knuckle removed from her second toe and a pin inserted and the tendons on the next 2 toes cut to stop then curling up. She is walking with the aid of a walking stick which she is not happy about.......says it makes her look and feel old....and she is only 77. DIY , will pm you. ~~~~ to everyone, will be an interesting weekend next weekend, shame we cant all be there. Back later Flakey

Good morning Wattlers, Very overcast day here again today, we had a very windy couple of hours last night - had to rescue things off the balcoonie - but unlike those up north the temp here has been very comfortable. Ducks was telling me last night that it was dead calm and steamy hot up on Bribie, not even a whisper of a sea breeze. Looking out over the bay this morning there is lots of grey, almost black over at Port Botany. Only three giraffe with stretched necks. Just watched a container ship come in - the tugs bring them on in from the heads, then as they get to the canal into the actual port, they do a 180 degree turn and dock in the port backwards. From here it looks like they do their turn in a small space, but I know from different vantage points thats not the case - they really have heaps of room. zO ynoT gninrom dooG. . . Poor Sarah, you do realise you and Barb have scared her for life now dont you . . . she will never get her head around the fact that you and Barb were once teenagers . . . let alone had boyfriends and girlfriends . . . not till she is at least into her 40's . . . LOL Init great to see the Queen up and about . . . and by my calculations a few days ahead of schedule. Look out Mudgee . . . !!! And Ducky, I hope you know that we all feel so much better to wake and see you have left a message - even if we missed it the night before! So keep em coming girl . . . when they aren't there there are a lot of worried Wattlers. Wash your mouth out Vonny . . . tis not 'old age' !!!!! Tis excitement !!!! Lets face it girl, you have heaps to be excited about . . . your mind must be so full with all your plans . . how is John going with the boat preparation, guess he is getting anxious to get all the last bits done. Evening...:>)) Just got back from our nightly walk. Barb took us on a guided tour of her childhood. We only live a couple of blocks away where Barb lived and grew up as a 4 year old. Both Barb and Sarah went to the same primary school. Barb in the 50s and Sarah the late 90s - 2003. Some of the teachers when Sarah was at primary, were Barbs school mates...lol Barb was explaining to Sarah where her childhood friends lived in the area, back in the 50s,and how she had a crush on that boy that lived there, and this boy who lived in that house, and he was a spunk..ect,ect.. Sarah was shocked and said to her mum.......did she have a crush on every boy in the neighborhood..? Barb replied with Yes...lol ....... and the one in that house ( pointing to a house ) gave me my first love bite and french kiss....Oooo'h he was gorgeous, tall blonde surfer....hee hee When we arrived back home, Sarah came up to me and said, Dad.....aren't you jelous mum had all those boyfriends. I said....Nup...cos i won in the end.......beat the lot of e'm....lol Thats why your standing here today.....cos if i would'a lost...you would have had a different dad..... Think Sarah's gone to bed with a few 1000 questions she wants to ask us....hee hee Av a good un. Tony Oz...:>)))

Hi Lew Ducks and I should be coming to dinner on Friday night - I'm waiting for definite confirmation from the Fluffy one. We are arriving in Mudgee on Thursday night. X Anna Update: Ducks and I definite for Friday night at the pub. Please book us in Lew. And we'll be in the convoy for the wine tour. If we can't fit in anywhere else, I'll drive - Ducks can do the tasting and I'll stay the sober driver!
