Morning Fanny,Shazz, and all, (((((((((((((Pam)))))))))))))))) thinking of you duck. DD15 is safely and happily home, we have heard all about the trip and been brought gifts – wall hangings for myself and a pair of swords for her dad. And she bought herself a kimono and her family gave her an obi and hair ornament to go with it. The host visit was a huge plus, she loved going to school and had a nice family, and didn’t stop talking all afternoon! She was very glad to sleep in a bed last night, and not have miso soup yet again. The next few days will be very social I think, so I’m off to work early now so I can get home soon after lunch to co-ordinate the teens comings and goings. So sorry you missed me Mary, any one coming through Albury if I’m not at home, I’m at work where I am very interruptable, just pm me for phone numbers, and OH understands about Wattlers too!! Best go, have a good day everyone ~~~~~~~~~~~~Hz |

A visit to Australia sounds wonderful but my financial circumstances at the moment are in dire straights, and I don't meant the pop group lol, and are likely to be at least until I've finished uni. With two kids on top of that it'll be a while before I have an holiday anywhere lol. Maybe when I've finished uni I'll have a chnace to save and come and pay you all a visit. You have been warned hehehe ;-) |

Jood. I dont understand mate!......thats what they tell us on the Tele. Yes. the Shipwreck ones a goodie. I think lots of peeps feel that there Ancestors came to Oz.....but they cant find them?.... Well not all ships made it here ( in the early years ) The East and South coast of Victoria was notorious for Shipwrecks......The point between Cape Otway ( light house ) and King Island ( lighthouse ) was very confusing to O/seas Shipping coming in during a storm in the middle of the night, and many Captains made a bad error of judgement. Here's the link Jood. Its a very good site with lots of Info. When you get to the front page, 'click' on Australia......then on 'Australia in General'....some great links overall...Also for Ireland, Scotland, N.Z..and the rest of the world. http://www.ozgenonline(.)com/ Tony oz...:>)) sipping on a Baileys & Ice |

Thanks Julie. Will remember that for next time. Isn't it about time for you to come visit us in Oz? I mean....free board and acommodation right up and down the East Coast of Oz...( wink ,wink )...seeing that the main stay of peeps on this thread cover the whole of the East Coast ( from top to bottom )...and would only be to happy to put you up. I'm sure they wouldn't mind....must be time for the cat to have a holiday...( blue skies, white powder beaches, Tropical Islands, Sipping Martooooonies under a Coconut tree or Palm tree.......big musclely bronzed Ozzie blokes to carry you to your Beach hut, B.B.Q Tea's with Steak the size of a small car..........i mean you stole all our numbers, and this would be a way of returning them....:>))) Our Pommy ancestors got seven years for less.....hard labour..even Tony Oz..:>))) |

Very warm night to-night. Windows and doors open. Stars are out, and lots of planes coming in from NZ and Tassie. We are directly over the flight path. Barb & i saw a nice shooting star about ten min ago, zooming across the sky with a long tail. Hope your getting a bit of this nice weather further South, Sue (Tassie ) Julie. Yea'h... probably Scotland for the snow.( Xmas ) Barb and i loved the Highlands when we were there in June. We both said, we would go back, as we only saw a little. Did buy a Jimmy hat while i was there....frighten the hell out of the grankids when they come over to visit....lol Jill. Sorry, that probably was my fault. I thought you said your boy ( meaning son )..so best wishes to Hubbie, mate. Tony Oz..:>)) |

Thanks for your well wishes, although it's my OH thats has the male plumbing probs, just got in from the hosp. left him bored and itching to get home. Another doctor is having a look at him this evening, so Ron has promised to ring me with any news. Thanks for the update on Cilla, I wonder what the problem is? Did'nt feel like cooking dinner so picked up a piza with anchovies mushrooms and pepperoni topping, not bad. luv Jillx |
