Good late night all, went to a fashion parade and met some interesting people there too and one was able to help me find out something I had asked about on the NSW list today and that was as three of my ancesters that I found in Katoomba Cemetery died all in one year 1908/09 was there a particular illness around at that time and this lady said yes there sure it was the Black Death the same as in England the dreaded Bubonic plague and her mother became an orphan because of it too, and I have been given these sites by listers since I came home , if any of you have someone who disappeared of the face of the earth all of a sudden in these years would be well worth considereing that they may too have succumb to this dreadful disease also check out this site too very interesting don't forget to remove the brackets http://image(.)sl.nsw(.)gov(.)au/cgi-bin/ebindshow(.)pl?doc=pxe90/a147;thumbs=1 Sarah -Jane it was my pleasure sweetie, your lovely Dad helps us all so much and we are very grateful , I am only just learning scrap booking and your mum tells me she was going to enrol you to do a course with Dad's skills at photography it would be really good for you to do its fun and very relaxing and you can do all sorts of things cards gift wrapping etc too. Mary I sent an email with the snail mail addie for you thanks so much have safe trip home Laurie I hope you and TLR had a nice touristy day in the wonderful city of Melbourne and have good flight back to Sydney Hi Gwenda I had forgotten those cakes until you mentioned them sponge with puff pastry running through it and rasberry jam and cream oh yum have to go doing a Lara hehe and falling asleep ny nite all love Lara

The Lamb Roast was bewdiful. Everybody on earth dies and goes to heaven. God comes and says 'I want the men to make two lines. One line for the men that dominated their women on earth and the other line for the men that were dominated by their women. Also, I want all the women to go with St Peter.' Said and done, the next time God looked the women are gone and there are two lines. The line of the men that were dominated by their women was 100 miles long, and in the line of men that dominated their women, there was only one man. God got mad and said, 'You men should be ashamed of yourselves. I created you in my image and you were all whipped by your mates. Look at Tony.... one of my sons that stood up and made me proud. Learn from him! Tell them my son, how did you manage to be the only one in this line?' And Tony replied, 'I don't know, Barb told me to stand here' ? Tony Oz..:>)))

Gee Wattlers too much partying or what - it's very quiet here today. All that talk yesterday of lemon meringue pie and all I could think of was having a slice for lunch, but when I went downstairs there was no lemon meringue in sight and I was forced to get something called a Napoleon - doublelayered vanilla slice. Could have made that my lunch by itself so after 2 pieces of leftover pizza I had to force down this Napoleon. Wasn't half bad but I'm still thinking of lemon meringue pie and just realised I don't have any lemons to make my own either - grrrrrr Better make a move and get some food organised here. Roast lamb's sounding good Tony - pity you don't live closer - lol Thinking of you Pam and family Hi to anyone not feeling tip top - hope you'll soon be 100%. Hi to Mary - have a safe trip home. ~~~~~~~~~~ to everyone Gwenda

Good evening Wattlers. TLR & I have had a wonderful day, walking our feet off, been to lots of galleries, museums and been on the river cruise. Came back for a bit of a rest before we head out for the evening. I have just had a few words with the management of the apartments and assured them we wont be back and we will spread the word . . . . Dont use riverside apartments . . . they are horrid !!!! No service to speak of - despite paying for it !!! cant even get a bed made !!! Apart from that . . . everything has been wonderful down here. TLR was heard this morning dishing out new names, reffering to 'Barcode Barb' . . . teeeheeeee Talking to Pam a little earlier and arrangements were still not 100% sure for Wednesday 2pm, but she should know for sure by now. Well, time to go get the glad rags on and head out for the evening. We leave here at 7pm tomorrow night, so catchyou when I catch you. luv Laurie

Morning Wattlers, another sunny day here but not real warm yet. Picked up Jess from the airport early this morning and must say it didnt take long for the house to get back to normal...lol She unpacked in the lounge so there are a couple of piles of stuff in there with the empty suitcase then there are little piles in the family room ,the kitchen bench and of course the bedroom floor. And the washing machine is on to the second load. Jess has now taken the car to visit work and a girlfriend. But thats ok when she gets back I have a present for her....her phone bill....hehehe. Hi there Wattlers - re: the Weekender, there was a note on there earlier today from the moderator Pippa saying that the site would be closing at midday (brit time of course) for some upgrading or whatever they do, so I guess that might be the reason others haven't been able to get onto it. But it appears back to normal now anyway. Lyn
