Hi Wattlers from a wet day in QLD. It's great, but the thunder and lightning is a bit of a worry. Don't want to stay on here too long. Welcome Marilyn, glad you dropped by. Jood the Pentrich revolution was in the UK, there is a site for it. Marilyn's ancestors got transported for their part in it, those that weren't hanged and beheaded that is. Marilyn is also a 'coz' of mine. One that I found on here through my Talfords. Laurie, I am very sorry that you will miss your trip to Turkey. Can't TLR retire early and then you can go LOL or what about taking a sickie. Merle, you really should take more water with it. Hope you are feeling better now. Wont be long to your appointment. Shazz, I think Laurie's idea of a pool in the lounge is a good one, especially if we keep getting these long hot summers. I am guessing that a lot of people will have leaks, houses are drying out and gaps opening up. Never mind if the rain keeps up they will all close up again. I have string tied on my cupboard door handles because they keep flying open. I have had it for 38 years and its the first time it has dried out so much. I wouldn't like to be on the other end of Lew's phone. But I know how she feels, the last place that we lived was the same. One little breeze or a silly possum and the phones went out. Like living in a third world country. It's made even worse when you know how much the executives earn. Well, thats my daily moan, Sorry if i haven't mentioned you, but I gotta go, thunder is getting closer. Luv SuzyQ |

Tassie, I havent had a pocket steak for ages - yummmmmmmmmmmm - I bake mine, but in the pocket I put a stuffing, usually fresh breadcrumbs, onions, pepper, salt and seasoning (like herbs of some kind - basil, rosemary etc) The aroma coming out of the oven is mind blowing, and you get enough residue to make a lovely dark brown gravy. Just the thing to have on a wet day as we are having here right now. It has hardly stopped all day, I'm going to need a boat to sail up to the shops if it keeps up! Im happy to say Warragamba Dam is getting a lot, but my rellies on farms at Lockhart, W.Wyalong etc. aren't. We might have to take our gown and slippers to mudgee instead of swimsuits! I'm told someone emptied their pool, and after yesterdays effort, it filled up again and was overflowing! Jood from the sodden Blue Mountains |

Morning Wattlers...looking in between wash loads. Please pardon me if I can't find it in me to commiserate much over your wet problems, Shaz (green-eyed envy here). I haven't been in the corner,BTW...just off-site for a while. L'Oz..that's a huge shame about Turkey..hope you can rescue something from the disaster Tassie...I don't have a clue about pocket steak...isn't that the one where you stuff something interesting into the slit? Anna, you are obviously a Multitasking Superwoman....stop it - you make me feel tired! lol Hello and goodbye to Fanny.~~~Sandra Sounds like the Mudgee gathering will be fun. Never been to anything of that nature...closest I ever came was a serendipitous inclusion in a Gleeson family gathering in co.Kerry a couple of years ago -huge fun, in the Irish manner |

Hi to all wattlers, Shazzels sorry to hear about your wet weather probs, but oh we needed rain, but not in my house you say lol There has been a lot in Warragamba Dam they say so thats a bonus. I ventured out for my walk at 7.15am it wasen't raining then, had a jacket on, but by the time i got back I was soaked, but easy fixed quick strip off. Safe journey for the royal entourage when they hit the road, hope you have bleached that bug out of the lappy. Laurie what a disapointment re Turkey .. Merle hope your feeling better today, sounds like you need a break. Welcome to Marilyn in Spain, hope you come back for a visit to us, If the rain keeps up we may have to bring out the flippers and snorkels, at least Fluffy Duck would have an advantage having her webbed feet lol. Time to get stuff done, coffee break over. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ to all~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ((((((((((((( to all not the best))))))))))))))))000 Cheers Luv Sandra in the Gong |

Morning Wattlers Shazz gee not good with all that water, now dont be greedy you know other parts can do with some water too. Anna bet you are getting excited about your trip to Mudgee as are all the other lucky peeps. Laurie bad news about your trip to Turkey, I know you was excited about going. Now with all our lovely chefs on here I need some help. I was given a Pocket Steak the other day and as funny as it may seem I have never cooked one yet. I was thinking on cooking it for Valentines day for David. Anyone got any hints or good ideas on what to do with it??? Please :-) Cheers Sue |

Morning all Oh dear Shaz If only we could distribute the rainfall evenly we'd be a lot better off. Good luck with mopping up, builder etc. We had to go to the Building Authority here when we built our house over some issues that the builder didn't seem at all interested in rectifying. It got done then! 3 sleeps for me! I've even got my bag out and have made a list and checked it twice. Vonny - commiserations - hope the dentist goes OK. Off to shop as I have to leave supplies for the troups and I have committments (writing group, genealogy, understanding behaviour groups all through U3A) that I'm involved in over the next 2 days so today is it as far as getting jobs done. I've also been landed with the job of organising the bush walking group as the lovely lady who is usually in charge is not well. That's on Thursday so Chris will have to look after them as I'll be on the road to Mudgee! However, I've got the term's itinerary worked out and typed up and the roll etc all typed up so it's all ready for him to take. It's like being back at school again! Gotta go See you later X Anna |

Morning Printeth Loz, knew youd be up, thought I might have jostled a few others awake, like Jood for instance, pouring again out here, must go ring the builder (AGAIN) and have a discussion (words) as to whether they will come back and rectify this window problem, me thinks Im in for a hard time, blasted thing has been ongoing for past two years, WISH THEY'D FIX the problem, dont think carpenter they have is fully qualified, so if no results, might have to resort to Fair Trading, see how that sits with them Morning Vonny, hope your day doesnt turn out too badly at the dentist, BLAH, me no like that word Catch u later, must make phone call Shaz |

Hi Marilyn, Welcome! Personally I've never heard of the Pentrich Revolution, and I thought I knew my history :( I did find a family history centre here in NSW who might be able to help E-mail the Kiama Family History Centre (Contact - Mr. Ray Thorburn) fhc at tpgi(.)com(.)au (take the brackets out and use the 'a' symbol) I did discover 14 were transported to NSW - but still looking for the names. One was George Weightman, another Josiah Godber Anyway, hopefully one of our group can help you further, good luck Morning all - off out early today. Laurie, sorry to hear the bad news. I can imagine how very disappointed you are. Jood |

Hi Wattles I´m a virgin to this site, so be gentle with me, but anybody who drinks Baileys has got to be OK I´m from UK, but have lived in Spain for 20years, and was invited to chat by SuzyQ, but I think I´ll probably need an Aussie dictionary, bear with me I´ll get there. I am tracing decendants deported to Aussie for taking part in The Pentrich Revolution 1817, I won`t bore everyone with all the details, just ask pretty pretty please anyone got any connections. Got to go and check my washing machine has finished, more bl..dy ironing. Speak to you soon, Hasta La Vista Wattles Marilyn |

Dear oh me Merle . . . That flammin dog !!! That b of a black hole . . . !! Sending you lots of positive thoughts and hugz xoxo Yippeee . . . J'aroo finally got a msg on . . . hopefully we will hear more from her when she gets back to London . . . wouldn't I just love to be in her shoes off to Ireland tomorrow too. Not the end of the cricket that we would have liked here - but not up to it on the night so they weren't. Think the Aussie lads may have had just a bit too much cricket, now off to NZ on Wednesday. Countdown now for the Mudgee bound . . . excitement is building . . . suitcases getting dusted off . . . packing lists are being made. I just hope and pray that Lew has prepared Mudgee!! Which is just as well . . because we have had to deal with some dissapointment this weekend that has knocked a bit of wind out of our sails - major atemps all weekend to try and not let it get us down. We can't go to Turkey for Anzac this year! TLR's major customer has pulled a trade conference for the same time frame . . . I have been through the angers - not sure how much of our plans have gone out the window - just know its been real hard to get our heads around it all when we had made so many plans. Any other customer but this one and TLR would have just got someone else to take care of it . . . Several consolation offers have been made by TLR . . . just leaving it for a couple of days till we have more info on timeframes before choices are made. Orf to bed . . . so Nigh nite - sleep well - sweet dreams luv Laurie |

Oh Merle Lock that flaming dog in his kennel - he's not the sort of dog you want around. If he pokes his ugly muzzle in again, just come on here and we'll help you chase the rotten mongrel away. (((((hugz)))))) Hi Jilly - have a wonderful time. I love Ireland. Jood - Ducks and I will be around Mudgee on Friday. I'll send you my mobile number. We'll have to find out from the Printheth where the good coffee shops are so we can track down the Royal party. Tony -like your idea of the pub site. Good one. Printheth Lew is spittin chips because she was waiting for a pickle of the new Leila bub. And now her internet connection is down. Better send positive thoughts to Telstra so they get out there and fix it. Iron is beeping - gotta go! Cricket is dismal - better send positive thoughts to the Ozzie cricketers too! XX Anna |
