PS: Thank you of gracious Queen Trifles for allowing me to have the benefit of Nefer's cousin, Claude. Such a shame he's a eunich, lol. Oh well, I'm sure I can teach him a trick or two, pmsl

Afternoon Wattlers. Lara, stopped chasing that poor postie. You'll frighten him, particularly with that new figure of yours. Tony (and Mary) thanks for the Lotto. Those numbers look pretty good to me! Jood, thanks for the Wattle list. Goodness only knows where I filed the last one, lol The Dunolly pickles are great, Mary. You mentioned Eddington, is that the one in Victoria? Pleased you liked your chocolate pills, Flakey. I'm doing a new range. Chocolate for our sweet tooths and chips for our savoury friends. Place your orders now! Finished compiling to sale contracts for a couple of houses we're selling in Mudgee. Any takers??? Special Wattle discount available. Special hugs for Trifles, Cilla, Donna, Tassie and um, goodness, who else isn't feeling their brightest? Well, hugs to all. Off to do some more FH. Lew Lew xxx

Hope everyone is well. Off to do some h********k .. b**g*r!!! Mary have you divided up the gold nugget yet? .. Pity help you if you find a very very big one - we wattlers would be after you with our claims .. well, we are all one family aren't we??? .. pmsl Have a good one Love Jood

Good morning all Anna you made me cry how true it is we don't know much about our parents lives, then just when we want to know it all it's too late they are gone. God Bless them . Ive been through the singing candle saga too ours stopped and we put it in the drawer of the van and we pulled up somewhere for lunch and I opened the door of the van and the candle was in the drawer singing away to itself I near died laughing as Mike coudln't hear it and kept telling me I was going nuts (He is so deaf) I finally realised what it was and where and left it in the bin in the park we were sitting outside of wonder how long it kept playing for? Last night quite late I found a site in Tassie and got some good info of it I think you gave it to me Tony ages ago but with a better knowledge of where and what to look for and how to work the site I found a few more peeps who could be related to the dreaded Day/O'Days of my life. Also after what Mary has already told me its no wonder they moved from Eddington to Gippsland and changed their name you wouldn't want Mary Ward's father Henry being able to drop in for dinner. Pam sending hugs have a nice time with Mel before she has to go back (((()))) for all the family. Trifley (((())))) too hope you are ok and just chilling today Mary sorry to hear about your friend in Dunolly I will do a weekend trip up there before Christmas if I can and Ring John Tully before I go too Tassie do hope the mouth is ok and just think wow how much weight will come of while you are waiting to be able to eat properly again soft fish and minced chicken and vege soup would be good eh thats what Cassie has me on now to get the weight off but I forget I am supposed to eat six small meals a day and make soup of all the veges, that burn more calories to digest than they have in them. And rice cakes tuna etc omg how skinny will I be NOT lol Bev don't remember if I said welcome to you but here it is again nice to see somebody from WA here again Has anyone heard from Sylvia please ? Havn't heard from Cilla yet but she said she will let me know when she knows whatever the problem is. SuzyQ hope you are feeling better Donna is the shoulder any better ? Vonny did I say the boat looks amazing a real credit to you and John and can't wait to the big launch party hehe Hi Pat how's things up there ? Laurie did you and Jood get to the library yet please forgot to ask last weekend ? Good one Flakey re the Balloons . Mary looks like I wait till Monday now as letter didn't come today oh BUTTER I have transcriptions due too and I am sure the postie thinks I am mad as I hear him coming along on his motorbike and race out to the letterbox and he looks at me as if to say what could possibly be this important ? Poor silly man has no idea does he LOL Anyway my dear Wattlers off to do some of the dreaded H/Wsee you all later on love Lara

Wow, Anna, that was very touching. How many memories are lost to us. I remember my great Aunty Alice telling us a story once about when the family arrived home late one night from church and when her father (my gg grandfather) stepped off the wagon to open the front gate, a possum ran up the leg of his trousers. The children where rolling around the back of the wagon in hysterics watching him strip, lol. My desk calendar reads: 'At every step the child should be allowed to meet the real experiences of life; the thorns should never be plucked from his roses'. How true. We had a whole 1.4mm of rain early this morning, so hopefully we might be in for more (keep your fingers crossed). This drought is now worse than the 2002/3 and the worse in 100 years. No wonder the farmers are depressed. ~~~waves to all the Wonderful Wattlers~~~ Lew Lew xxx

Morning Wattlers We actually had some thunder here last night - but not a drop of rain. Happy birthday Alex - please send me a piece of chocolate cake in a post bag ..... :>)) I'm home alone - Chris has gone to work, Katherine has gone to school. I'm still in my jammies!!!!!!!!! Still debating what to do with my lovely uninterrupted day. Perhaps I'll have a cup of coffee before I decide. Have a great day everyone. On my desk calendar today - very touching I think. 'As a young woman sat in the sturdy, no-frills hospital chair and listened, an old man rooted about in his memories and found every treasured arrowhead over again. And as the minutes passed, he grew into the tender recruit who had served his country. Because she listened, he was transformed. Because she was interested, he managed to leave behind the tubes and monitors and pain. Because she heard what he had to tell, he was able to make a journey of his own. He stepped out across time and for a few minutes he could feel the cloth of a younger man's shirt on his back, the arms of a young soldier holding his bride. On a day that seemed ordinary, he'd found the strength to share himself one more time. And his visitor breathed life into his memories by listening.' I guess we can all say it now, but I keep thinking - If only I had encouraged my parents to talk more about their life experiences, my knowledge of them would be so much richer. XX Anna

DIY Jude - We bought one of those singing candles for one of our (grown up) kids birthdays a few years ago. You light it and it sings happy birthday - you blow it out and it stops. If it doesn't stop you are meant to cut the wick with a sharp knife to break the contact. step one: light candle and it sings happy birthday in a tinny sort of fashion. step two: blow it out and it still sings happy birthday. step three: cut wick with a sharp knife. It still plays happy birthday!! step four: - we are beginning to lose it by now - cut wick again and it still keeps on singing. Step five: some of the party are immobilized with laughter by now, others have collapsed on the floor and some are sort of standing with their legs crossed. The candle sings on. Step six: take demented candle and place it in the freezer (theory, it will cool it down and it will stop) After a few minutes open freezer door. Candle is STILL singing happy birthday - very very slowly and drawn out. Step seven: by now the whole room full of people are paralytic with laughter and feel sorry for the poor candle!!!! Step eight: light candle again to warm it up. Candle sings slowly at first then gradually gets faster and faster. by now candle has nearly burnt out and we are all exhausted from laughing too much. Everyone is happy that candle has revived. I want to drown it but am prevented by the 'save the candle' faction. Step nine: vow never ever to buy a singing birthday candle again. Hey Jood- I thought we had a new Jude for a minute!! Glad you all liked the boat pickles. Good song Tony - you are definitely a talented lad :) See you all tomorrow. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Vonny
