Tony tell Barb well done on her diet she can pig out on one weekend :-) Lara Im sure you would have lost some too, look forward to a surprised Lara after the Dr's visit. Well its off to the Dentist with Tamika, she is nervous and has been for a couple of days, more worried about the needle than anything else. Catch you all later. Cheers Sue

Hi Wattles Thanks for the warm welcome, a nice big grin on my face, stop it don´t need anymore lines. Thanks for the info Tony, is this site secure for email address´s, Susan has it. Nice to know I´m educating everyone, had another ancestor on my mothers side, who was shot by the Mounties in Canada, for trying to start a union. Are you sure you really want to get to know me. My husband said I´ve always been a rebel, must be in the genes, he can´t chop off my head, but I tell him I´d be happy to be deported to Aussie, what are the cells like, any Baileys Anyway go to go back to work, we work morning and evenings here, can´t do without the siesta. I have been so busy with trying to arrange the flights accom etc to Fiji as Virgin don't fly every day to Nadi so it's made it hard but I finally got it sorted and have to claim our points tomorrow and do all the booking etc, I have also had a wonderful Family history find I don't know if you remember my story re my Nans sister who was captured by the German raiders before we were at war with the Japanese they posed as Japaness and pirated a ship she was on . well I have found her grandaughter do you remember I was looking for a M/s J Hamilton well this is her but she is now a Mrs so it was such luck as I put her grandfathers name in my tree and where it says would you like to see if this person is on the site in some one else's tree. I clicked on there and another branch of the family came up with not much connection to me , but he asked did I know Jill as she was a much closer relative to me and I asked him if she used to be Ms J Hamilton and lo and behold it was her omg so lucky and also some good detective work as well by me if I do say so myself and a lot of help from sks's along the way I know have a photo of Nellie Stock wearing MY LOCKET that was hers and also the reason she was given it too as she was an employee of Quong Tart of whom he was very fond and he gave it to her when she was leaving to get married can you believe I even now have a photo of my 2 xgreat Grandma as well Nellie's Mother and my great grandfather and I have learned a very sad family secret too . I have cried and laughed and then smiled all week on and off depending what this cousin has sent to me it has been an absolute miracle finding her she has answered all I didn't have and then some Have to go still trying to get all ready for leaving Thursday whether its for the van or for the cabin still not sure Mike drove today got a letter from the Dr to say he was able and the Physio as well for insurance purpose had to be covered so looks as though if can get help with the van when we get there to get it off the car which the lady at the van park has assured would be ok we will be alright a Tiger will so much more comfortable in the van as it has a the recliners etc and a beautifully comfortable bed so I will sign off till a slimmer still fat but working on it person will be back tomurra, and to all not to good wattlers and O/H'S big hugs and waves to all ~~~~~~~~~~ love Lara

Hi Jood, it is only a small amount of money. All feedback from before was favourable and no, I haven't left any myself yet. I too thought their connection might be down but I see today that they have more new things for sale up on ebay that finish tomorrow, so their connection must be OK. (its been almost 3 weeks) By the way - I don't have a map of Mudgee or a clue where Lew actually lives either - can we see her place on google earth? And has someone directions to get there? Thank you -all sorted :) travel safely Trifles and royal entourage :) Vonny

Yes, I have her address, no map, just playing it by ear. I have all of the Mudgee Wattlers mobile phone numbers just in case!! Was just thinking I might have to rethink what I take to Mudgee in the way of clothes if it stays cool! I have dial up on my modem, and can use my own server ppppppppppppppppppppp - so I'll know what you are up to ! Jood

Hi Tassie YYaaiii they wont be able to find out what we are up to till they get home...lol Wait on.. I bet they go into town and use their lappys there..Cause they would all be taking their lappys with them,, You can get a connection sitting in a Mackers restaurant...but then I cant see them sitting in a Mackers come to think of it...could you see them all sitting in Mackers with their lappys and a big mack...pmsl..Mackers would never be the same again... That stuffed steak sounds yummy..might try it myself one day as I haven't had a nice roast for ages. Joodles. We have had a fair bit of rain today and it is lovely and cool to..I love it like this as I am becoming a winter girl instead of a summer one, Have you found out where Lew lives yet,,don't want to see ya wandering the streets of Mudgee.. Well I am off to bed so I will love and leave you.. Love Mary xxxxxxx

Judy Report 12 Feb 2007 09:53

Tassie, believe me, thats the way to go - the seasoning will smell yummy and it adds a lovely flavour, plus the lovely dark brown gravy. Gee its like a winter's night here, not raining exactly, but decidedly cool. Just as well I have 3/4 sleeves and long pants on. Think I'll actually put the lecky blankie on till I get into bed. Vonny - did you report this person to e-bay - did you not give them favourable feedback (or hang off for a while) - did you check what their previous feedback was like? If it was a lot of money, e-bay will actually pay you a small sum of it, forget how much now. It does leave a nasty taste in your mouth, but stay positive for a while, their internet connection might be down. Good luck Jood

Evening Wattlers Jood thanks for your input to the Pocket Steak cooking. I have put a message on gen board, just to see if anyone has any different ideas, but yours does sound yummy, hopefully I will be able to cook it to perfection, well just as long as its edible and tastes nice I will be happy. Hey Suzy, Mary and Merle, did you see that there will be no internet connection at Mudgee :-(((((( that means we cant chat to them if they get online ................. But on the other hand they wont know what we are getting up too, ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh can we have some fun, How many pages will we make them read back on ????????? Sorry guys we are not envious of you all having fun without us..............(not half) :-(((((((( Well I wont be on here in the morning as Tamika has that unmentionable dentist appointment, then a visit to my parents, before I get home about lunchtime. Cheers Sue

G'day to the wonderful Wattlers.....and of course to the newbie visitors. don't be put off by some of our shenanigans.....we really are loveable when you get to know us....heee heee. Wot's this???? No internet in Mudgee???? Bl***y Bigpond! Couldn't organise an omlette in a hen house. It does make it difficult when they are the only game in town. Wait 'till they hear from Crewella. It's just as well she isn't trying to earn a living from the 'net.....she'd starve. We've had some rain here on the GC, too. Not like Shaz, but at least enough to dampen the ground. With a bit of luck we'll get some more tonight. Hey Shaz....ya wanna borrow some towels?? :) :) Aaaww Laurie....no ANZAC visit. Don't take it too hard.....everything happens for a reason. Maybe something else will turn up. Have ya ever been to Libya????? Now.....Mudgee List....CAR... Full tank of fuel.....check Oil.....check Water levels.....check Tyres.....check (one in each corner & one in the boot) It's time to finish off the suitcase so the Royal Consort can put it in the boot with the Martoonie fixings. I'll try to get back on later tonight.....otherwise..... SEE YA IN MUDGEE!!!!!!!!! Hugz Trifley X

Ooooo, paid quite a bit more towards my dentist's retirement and now the numbness is beginning to wear off!! very sad about ANZAC Laurie - something will come up though :) Hardly any rain here either - never satisfied are we!! lol One of my ebay purchases has never turned up and they aren't answering emails!! It wasn't a lot of money cause I was quite cautious but leaves a nasty taste. Doesn't Telstra understand that The Wattlers and The Internet go hand in hand! You can't have one without the other....................... catch you later ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Vonny

Tony wot you mean never herda rain - its b............... pouring here - maybe it will run down the mountain and into the dam, tho I believe the dam is getting some. My poor rellies in Lockhart got NONE :(( Mary - how could that lady take your glasses just coz she liked them!!!!!!!!!! Murphy's law that she came good AFTER you'd bought some new ones, but as you say its better to have two pair. Lew is with Bigpond isn't she? No Jood - say nothing - keep your mouth shut!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its cool here tonight - could do with a bit of warmth. Bev, the only other Irish critters I had were Laughlans and they came from Drumachose, County Derry. I guess Gleeson is rather like Smith, or Jones lol Jood

Hi Wattlers and welcome to our newbies - hope to see you again soon Mary - glad you got your glasses back and now you'll have a spare pair too Merle - hope things are looking up for you and himself SuzyQ - we had a bad thunderstorm here Saturday night and I was glad I wasn't on the puta then - seems we were lucky to lose the power for a few seconds, workmate had it off for an hour or so followed by a shorter outage. Trifley - safe travels tomorrow and we'll catch up on Friday somwhere in the great Mudgee Anna & Ducky - hope you travel safe too - by the time I get on here on Thursday you will probably be on your way. Shazz - hope you've managed to dry some towels off - what a disaster. Tassie - good luck with the pocket steak - I'm salivating here just thinking about it - think that's cos I'm hungry tho Have to work tomorrow & Wednesday as regular Mon-Thurs worker has found she can't walk and talk at the same time without falling off her verandah and doing her ankles in. At least we had planned for me to work today and her do my Friday but now I won't be able to clean my shower tomorrow as planned ..... gee I'm so disappointed - lol Waiting on Dave to arrive home from Cairns - daughter is still looking for somewhere to live apparently. Starts work proper on Wednesday. Better go and sort the washing so I have something to wear to work tomorrow. Have a great evening all Gwenda

Hi everyone,, Had a busy day today.. First I had to go to Manly to see the optometrist to get a new pair of glasses,, the new frames were not as nice at the ones that I lost but I am getting transition lenses as I think they would help when driving.. Then it was home and took OH to the Club for lunch which was nice to get out for a bit, and when we got home the reception rang and said the lady who had taken a liking to my glasses last Friday had returned them,, Said she had thought they were hers........anyway I am glad to get them back and now will have a pair for driving also,, Its always good to have a spare pair..I always needed a pair of dark glasses so I am glad I have the new pair coming.. Poor old Printhess,, No puta,, That in itself is a disaster but for this weekend , a double disaster...hope they can do something for her soon.. Prinths Loz, Pity about you Turkey trip..I am sure TLR will come up with something nice soon.. Welcome to our visitors...Hope you like us and can cope with the madness... Queenie Do you take off tomorrow,, have a safe trip and enjoy yourselves. Don't forget the Martoonie glasses and makings..and all the queenly finery..and bling.. SueQ Are you staying home.. I will still have someone to talk to then,, With Tassie and Merle...lol Jood..We have had a beautiful deluge and I got caught in Manly, Had to park the car and wait it out. Just lovely but a shame to see it all run down the drain and out to sea.. All those driving to Mudgee have a safe trip and enjoy the scenery.. Off to get dinner, Back later Love Mary xxxxx

Not a happy camper, as Telstra tell her the first available time for a techy to come fix her problem with broardband is next Monday !!! I suggested to her that she go get a prepaid dial up plan to take her through, so she is going to check out her options. Otherwise . . . no internet connection at the Mudgee meet . . . will keep you updated luv Laurie

Jood, I've not got back further than my g.g father (POSSibly a gggfather) but to date, they've all been in co.Kerry...unusual, I know, as I believe they abound in Tipperary. All near a place called Rathmore and a nearby hamlet called Gneeveguilla (pronounce that, if you dare). If, on the other hand, you were talking RYAN...my g.mother's parents were Patrick & Bridget from Tipperary...and I haven't even tried to look into that one,lol
