Blimey...:>((( Thats making it hard. Used to be able to 'click' on Shared Trees..and up popped a nice little list of all the peeps that you shared your tree with. Now haffta sift through bloody hundreds of contacts to find who i share with, and i dont want to delete my contacts, as i need them for back up references to remember what we talked about, in case one of these peeps contacts me via GR messages regarding reseach i did for them yonks ago. I have made over 400 contacts since 2004 and somewhere among these 400 are my shared trees.....Not happy Jan. abuse...abuse...:>)))) Tony Oz....GR should be sent to the naughty corner..me thinks |

yes (to the shared tree bit) had written a lovely thing to add today but it disappeared. so... hi all. i do not speed. xmas was particularly grim the year of my last contribution. 2/4 of us who are capable of driving, have a licence. one cannot use the rta until all outstanding contributions are made. one is still waiting for the final outcome (they took the piccy card off him immediately). They didn't inherit irresponsible behaviour off me, its something they inherited of me mum(oops said it instead of thinking it) hi merle, john and jeff (have we met before? have you beckinghams in your tree). today has been preetty nice and relaxed, a 'bit ' of study to do, but... love you all later yvette x |

Mines the same as yours Tony!! Guess I'll have to go through my contacts to find the shared trees but my contacts aren't as long as yours must be!! Following Linda Shaw's advice to Donna on My family Tree, I did notice a shared tree thing there, top right, but I didn't look at it. Thanks so much Laurie, John has some rellies who worked on the railways so I have bookmarked the page. catch you later tonight. Vonny |

Oh Goodness me a real live (well almost) genealogy posting . . . shock horror . . . I'm going to ruin our reputation! Anyone who think they may have rellies who could have been employed by the NSW Government Railways in 1902 - this site give a list of all employees as at 31/12/1902 . . listed in different brances you just have to go thru each branch and scroll thru the names . . . Interesting too . . . tells you how much the earned ! just replace the * with a .(dot) http://home*iprimus*com*au/bexleyboy/1902/index*html ...................................... Lots more info to be found from The home page for the NSW Railway Resource Centre at http://home*iprimus*com*au/bexleyboy/arhs/unofficial*htm) ...................................... good luck - I found some of mine luv Laurie |

Afternoon Wattlers How is everyone? Well I hope. I heard on the radio this morning that Melbourne experienced a small tremor of about 2.? Went to town this morning and bought a pink ribbon band for pink ribbon day today it was only $3.00 and I thew in $5.00 gee it felt good, not much but every little bit helps, if everyone threw in an extra dollar or 2 it would go a long way. Son just called in and needs a lift to town so I will be back after. Cheers Sue |

Hope your going to decline the invitation to the Policeman's ball Tony . . . I have been invited to pay to go to that ball twice, but long winded letters explaining my inability to attend resulted in the invitation being withdrawn. LOL L ;-))))))) |

Welcome mate. Lara. Sent you an Email abooot your WALSH. Its a bit hard to explain via Email mate, without knowing all the facts. A lot of Geno work i do myself can be based on pure instinct, and gut feelings, as well as research, and the knowledge one picks up over the last 30 years. If your searching the surname WALSH best to look at variables also, mate WALSHE,WELCH,WELSH (E ) specially if there Irish. Must be time for a Ham & Cheese toasted sanga. Have a great day everyone. Thanks Gwenda, we already have carers for 2 half days but its the nights that are a problem now. My uncle doesnt sleep in case she wakes and tries to go to the toilet on her own, twice in the past 10days she has fallen in the bathroon because of the parkinsons and he has woken up and found her there. He is getting frail himself and shouldn't be lifting her. I said to my cousin that she should treat her Mum the way she would want her kids to treat her in the same situation but its really hard when you have no siblings to back you up. Think I'll ring my Mum now and make sure she is behaving herself....lol Flakey |

Hi Flakey, FIL has alzheimers - well they refer to it as dementia but he has been classified as a grade 1 sufferer (I think thats the term), MIL has 2 women who take him out for outings twice a week. One takes him on Tuesday for a couple of hours and the other one has a few others besides on Friday. Now MIL is looking into care - not sure if long term or just respite. She can get him into one place for 5 days and asked if she could visit. Was told 'no'. Her sister told her it was so she could have a rest and while MIL really does need help obviously is like your uncle and not ready to have a total break even for a short time. FIL doesn't recognise his son (not my OH) when he visits, can't go into the bathroom because people are looking at him from the mirror, sees his reflection in the windows and thinks people are watching him and has started swearing - think the worst he has said is 'bl***y' but this is a couple who never swear so for MIL it is very upsetting. It's very hard to know what to advise but your cousin really needs to try to get her father to understand that he needs some assistance. As you say he'll only make himself ill and be of no use to either of them. Many a carer of an alzheimer patient has died before the sufferer. Hope there is a solution for your cousin. Gwenda xx |

Good morning Wattlers, sun is out not a cloud in the sky, and I,ve almost finished the H******k for the day.......yea need to find a good book. Spent a long time this morning with a cousin ,who is an only child, her mum(81) has Parkinsons and elhziemers(sp) and my uncle isnt copeing very well but wont let her go into a nursing home. I can understand his view but he will be ill himself if he doesnt get some sleep and allow someone to help him. We can get some respite for 2 weeks and I think once she is settled she will be ok as she doesnt know where she is 95% of the time. Its hard for my cousin, doesnt know if she should go over her Dads head and just make the arrangements or not....anyone had any experience with this?? ~~~to Ducky if she looks in, and also HM Queenie who I hope is ok today cause I think the prinsethes are overworking the cousins and they should be recalled. Have a restful day everyone Flakey |
