Good Morning Wattlers, Expecting 30 here today, yet still quite cool overnight. Beautiful days at the moment eh Lara! Oooh I see we have had visitors since I last looked in, if I’d known I would’ve taken out me curlers and put on some lippy! Welcome to Jeff ! Really all you have to do on this thread is mind your P’s and Q’s ! Oh, and if you’re from Coventry Jeff, then you probably knew my Ag Labs from the early 1800’s in rural Kent, lol ! I’m a mere serf from Albury on the main Hume Highway between Melbourne and Sydney. Vonny the boat looks fabulous and I got the piccy at last. Are you aiming for an Easter Launching? Yvette, are YOU going for that job as a lingerie waitperson? How was the interview lol. Must off to now to earn a crust for tonight’s supper, to go with the leftover gruel from the weekend that Vonny so kindly sent me ……. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~to all, Hz

We'll have you talking like an aussie in no time Waggy! But please feel free to ask - it's the only way to learn. Jood

Hello all, and Jeff. Nice to see another bloke on the thread, and another Pom at that. I've found a website that's going to help me get to grips with the language, it's koalanet.com.au, an Aussie slang dictionary among other things, but thanks to Jood for helping me out with pmsl, I doubt if that's in there. I think I'm going to need it permanently open when I'm on here. No, Mary, I've never been to Oz. I live in Towcester (pronounced toaster) in Northamptonshire, but really I'm from Whitwick (pron Whittick) in Leicestershire. Have you noticed how the English like place names that are not pronounced like they're spelt? Must be to confuse foreigners. Good nite, Waggy

Morning all, looking like a nice day here, hope it doesn't get toooo hot. Hope all the sick ones are feeling better today. Anyone heard from Flutters or Raggy Bear lately - or seen them around? Raggy Bear hasn't been on (as far as I know) - since just after she arrived home from Perth. Have a great day all Jood

TonyOz Report 23 Oct 2006 14:06

Hi Jeff. Perhaps i can Explain. Well...Ummmm no i surpose i cant really..lol Best way to put it. Just a bunch of good friends with a sometimes...Ummm... weird/Ozzie sense of humor. 90% of the people on this thread at this moment live on the East Coast of Oz....and occasionally some join in who live in the West Coast. The East of Oz is 2 hrs in front of the West .( time wise ) So its 11pm here in the East, and about 9pm in the West...and there most likely watchin the Tele, and we are getting ready to hit the sack ( bed ) But its all good fun, and laughter is still the best medicine. Cheers. Tony Oz

Jood though doth protest to much re the Firies I think you should have been there at Mission Beach three years ago when the local firies at the Banana Festival did the full Monte to Joe Cockers 'You can leave your hat on ' talk about Hunka Hunka' s Wow and most of them could dance but the one who was in front of me his dancing was absolutly hopeless hehe ,he was going forward when he should have been going back and then when he should been going left he was going right, so I just had to go up the other end where the hunka hunka's were just for the dancing off course right JOOD wink wink nudge JA Hi mini meet on the 9th Dec is it don't forget the photos please.and what is the OH doing is it a group thing or what please don't know about this? PPPPPPPPP You only think they dont know what is going on Yvette . . . No martoonis tonight . . . just water . . . and coffee !!! Dinner was delish . . . barra, occi and salad with mustard dressing . . I have let Bazza off the dishwashing this evening and my dish boy is doing them tonight - his name is Simpson, a rather bulky dish boy, but gets the job done . . . he always leaves my glass ware sparkling clean! His hose is a problem though, as he doesn't fit under the kitchen bench and we had to get it extended. Ah well will let the serfs play on their own Luv Laurie (Princess of the Nile)
