Evening Wattlers Ooh hang on a minute .................... have to pick myself up from falling off chair in laughter Im sorry, and I know it is not any of our 'Wattlers' but gee some people are thick and the excuses they have for not having daylight saving :-)))))))))))))))) best laugh Ive had in ages, especially the last one you mentioned Anna. But then again us lucky Tasmanians have 6 months of daylight saving and I did lose 20 kgs, maybe it was daylight saving that made me lose weight not the drinking water, and cutting out sugar and fat from diet, along with the walking, pmsl. Donna I do hope you get things sorted out with step daughter (((( hugs)))) to you. Trifley good to see you on the thread. SuziQ, Laurie, Fluffly, Jude and Lara it was good to have us all on msn at one time, yes it was a bit confusing and it was a shame I had to go so soon, we will have to try it again. Tamika has got a course of antibiotics and a repeat if she needs them just infected glands, didnt think it was an allergy but didnt sound too sure, have to wait and see. I forgot to add earlier, some were asking if we have got settled into our new place yet, and yes we have and its not too bad here, I used to live in this suburb before so I am familiar with it. Anna it is the suburb just near where you stayed when you came over and met me in town. Yes my gums are getting a bit better, can manage some soft meaty food, just not steak or chops yet hee hee. Cheers Sue

Bev, I forgot – my daughters grandparents were McKnoe & Wetherall, and whilst the Mcknoe’s were sort of around your area, they were very prevalent in Toodyay as well. Vonny, isn’t that sweet, Nanna’s play group – what do you play? .. I don’t think I would like to join a Nanna’s play group lol – but I know what you meant. .. Young Lucas (6 months) went to Gymbaroo the other day. .. The mum’s had to put their infants on their tummies, and here’s Lucas, looking up at the teacher smiling away (and she wasn’t looking lol) The calenders were not firies, nor were they bronzed lifesavers. .. Mostly childrens pics and animal pics, quite nice. .. We were selling them for a gold coin (excellent value) – Mary, they were sold for the Smith family via the View Club. .. The 3 of us raised $425.75 – I thought that was an excellent effort, but boy – is my back sore from standing all day. .. We were very amused at some of the replies as to why they couldn’t or wouldn’t buy one – some left you talking to yourself, some wouldn’t even look at you. .. But others were lovely – a few told us how the Smith family have helped them over the years, some promised to come back after they’d done their shopping or had been to the bank – or got change, and to my surprise, most of them did! .. We had a little xmas decoration near us – and Santa (dummy) was laying in his bed snoring loudly – we had to put up with it all day :( .. It was embarrassing that we intercepted some poor people more than once – some had bought and some hadn’t – after about the 3rd time of asking – I started to recognize people a bit better! Lew, why won’t you let Lily go to the Beauty Parlour?????? Donna – that is so sad about the 19yo still being controlled by her mother. .. I have heard of some horrible stories of controlling mothers after a family breakup or divorce. I’m sure I’ve forgotten someone – my apologies - ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ to all. ((((((((((((Pam and Trifley))))))))) Love Jood

Good afternoon Wattlers There's so much wattle waffle to catch up on - gosh you lot can talk! The photos Jude sent of the Melbourne birthday bash are great - you did well to get the pixies whipped into shape Jude! Donna - sorry to hear you're still in so much pain. And as if that isn't enough, you've now got the added worry of Carley - I do hope you can get it all sorted. Fingers crossed for you too Yvette - good luck with the job application. Seems everything is happening at once for you what with study and OH and all. ((((((hugs))))))) Hang in there mate. Unfortunately I've joined the ranks of the walking wounded. Have been having trouble with lower back pain for a few months and have been to chiro, physio etc. Went to a physio who specializes in lower back and it seems my left hip has rotated forward and slipped lower than the right side and consequently I'm getting pain and stiffness. So my back is strapped and I have exercises to do and have more physio ahead - just so long as it makes it better I don't care. I'm having trouble bending so everything including gardening and housework hurts! Fortunately sitting in the computer chair is quite comfortable - aren't I lucky. Puddy cat - are you feeling better? I have a suspicion that someone might have left a cat bait around the Wattle back door! Poor pussy - did it make your poor little tummy sick? I think we'll be pushing up daisies before we get daylight saving in Qld. I haven't heard of the skin cancer angle before! Heard plenty of others like the cows won't let down their milk, the chooks won't lay, the curtains will fade - and wait for it - this is a bit rude so apologies before I say it!!!!!! Because men will be getting up earlier and their morning glory will not have had time to subside, there will be more cases of rape on the way to work. Nobody on early morning public transport will be safe.I didn't make it up - I read it in the paper!!!!!! Off to Katherine's end of year music concert tonight so best get some dinner organised. Have made a quiche and will throw together some salad. Spoke to Trifley and she's feeling a little better today - poor possum. Hi dear Ducky -((((((((hugs)))))))) Love to all Anna

Afternoon lovely Wattlers Well 14 pages for me to catch up - haven't a hope of remembering it all. (((( huggles)))) to Trifley and Fluffy (((( sickies))))) for you too Congratulations Laurie and TLR on the wedding anniversary -well done! Hope you both have a wonderful celebration. You will all have piccies of the b'day bash in your email - hope they are ok. Its done my head in - trying to get them right. No questions on how I did it - I'm claiming the right to a CRAFT moment/minute/hour/ half a day - lol. I had a so called 'day off' yesterday - hmm - up at 7.00am, 3 1/2 hours weeding and spreading mulch in the garden. In between put out 4 loads of washing. Time for a quick shower off to the hairdressers (thought it was time I had the grey touched up) hmm after 2 1/2 traumatic hours later ( I hate the hairdressers!), it was off to Eastland to buy some Jurlique to tart up whats below the hairline (they had a special on). Bought 2 t-shirts for adopted g.child in Pt Douglas at pumpkin patch - ooo I like that shop. Then to wow the boys at the butchers with the new hair colour , then to fight the schoolies at the supermarket - got home at 4.45 pm absolutely kn******d, but still had to put all the shopping away and get dinner ready. Lamb roast on the spit and my darling OH cooked all the veges on the bbq as well - bliss. I can still smell the fresh mint sauce -yum.Took off all the washing, folded, ironed and all put away, I was glad to come back to work today! lol. Just a normal day off really. Fanny hope you get a job soon - you just have to wait for the right one or it will find you. Welcome to newies Jeffster, & Waggy and I'm sure I've forgotten someone- hello too. ~~~~~~ hello to everyone Has to be a short one - will catch up tomorrow xxx Jude.

Afternoon all, Well I knew we were special, now I have proof. A six way chat, yes you heard correct, a six way chat and we all managed to keep up. Not much sense but we all understood each other, well I did anyway. So, Laurie, Ducky, Flakey, Lara, Tassie, thank you. I hope you now feel confindent on msn Ducky. It was lovely to chat with you. Donna, I do hope you manage to get things sorted out. Just imagine what the poor girl has had to put up with. Did I remember you saying there were two girls. Well, I just hope she can stand up to her mother and get her passport. I would have thought it was illegal to keep it from her. Yvette, hope you manage to sort things out, most men are obstinate and stubborn over some things. And all have selective hearing. Big hugs to donna and yvette. I won't be around tomorrow, going to pick up new glasses and have the rest of my diabetes eye test. The yucky one where I have drops in my eyes. So c u all later Bye Luv SuzyQ PS If daylight saving loses weight, I'm moving

hi lew, bev, janet, and dear Donna big breath, when you're 18 you can apply for your own passport. also check bestflights site for good fares, maybe sd will be able to snaggle a cheaper one if she can adjust her dates a bit. seems to be the day for annoyance, oh has done something really, really dum and its taken the best part of the year for me to get it worked out. worst part is he's obstinate and will just refuse to talk to me - let alone discuss the fallout from the situation, rrrraaaahhh. big breath. supposed to be studying but have been job seeking instead. love Yvette x

G'day Wattlers.I've been out for my walk by the Swan River, saw some gorgeous little fluffy cygnets (cousins of yours,Pam?) and some dolphins. I wandered through a village of tents and stalls set up for Seniors' Week, in the Burswood Casino parklands, lusted after some beautiful hippeastrums (no money with me, alas!), admired some examples of work from the Embroidery Guild, have done my grocery shop and waved to OH (off to s-i-l's farm at Brookton to set up his computer network for him). Nice and quiet at home with just me to please...unfortunately, I'll have to go and do some cleaning soon, as it's my turn to host the Mah Jong maniacs tomorrow. Just as well, I guess, or the house would never get cleaned at all. Can't honestly say I think we need Daylight Saving here in the West....seem to have more daylight than we can use .Now if they did it in winter, there might be some point. Oh well, we've been told it will cure the nation's obesity problem, so I expect to give Miss Australia a run for her money by New Year

Hi Trifley, I think what Peter actually said was the extra hour of evening sunlight. Ofcourse we all know that it is the midday sun that causes the worst damage. It was on the Sunrise news this morning. Qld is now the only state not to have daylight saving and that was is reaason why we won't be getting it. An extra hour of sunlight that is LOL Going for lunch now SuzyQ

Morning Wattlers, still got another half hour, boy did I sleep well last night, must have been all the walking I did yesterday. Suzy I'd say it's worth going to Harbour town, there is a lot of tat but if you look around you can pick up some good bargains. I bought Lorraine a couple of Ell McPherson bras with matching knickers for less than $40. and kids T-shirts are pretty cheap, the Sheridan shop had sheets and quilts at good prices too, yes I'd say go it makes quite a nice day out. Congratulations to you Laurie and Ray, are you going anywhere special for dinner tonight? Welcome to the world little Charlotte, I love your name. Get well JulieCat it's horrible being sick, take care. Pam it's lovely to see you back, we miss our Fluffy, no one to tell us to watch out for those pesky bedbugs, lol Trifley so glad you're feeling a bit better maybe a martoonie tonight will speed up the recovery. luv Jillx

Good morning Waffling Wattlers, Hope you are all feeling chipper this fine morning. Congratulations Laurie and Ray, another milestone. Hope you have a wonderful day. Welcome baby Charlotte, don't forget Leah we like pickles of new arrivals. Some of us will never have grand children, so we like to share. Lew how is Lil today, did you book the holiday. Lara, I will give you a call if I can manage to get down to Tweed. How long will you be there. Pleased to hear from you Pam and Trifley. Shazz, your Dazza is a real charmer, bet your glad you didn't fall for his sweet talking. I can't believe that the police can't do anything about him. He is a real menace. Hope you get to the bottom of Robs problems soon. How are you now, tummy all better I hope. Sue, I hope Tamika and Danielle are feeling better soon. Are you all settled in now. You will be putting up your lights soon. Jill, I have never been to Harbour Town. I have heard mixed reports about it. What did you buy? How are you Donna and Cilla and Wilson, where are you. Yvette, have you thought of being a personal trainer. A friend of mine has done that and he is doing really well. Just put a little ad in the local paper and see what happens. Has everyone signed the channel seven petition to Cool the Globe, if not why not. Just go to yahoo7/sunrise. I will be checking on you. What about our wonderful Peter Beattie. He will not consider daylight saving because the extra hour of sunlight will cause more skin cancer. Just how do they get these jobs. Guess what, my curtains have faded without the daylight saving. Well, must get on with some work. Oh I forgot the welcome the newbies, tall blonde firie, prove it , lets see a photo. Bye for now Luv SuzyQ
