Was looking at an Email that Sue ( Tassie ) sent after her meet in Sydney, a few weeks ago and the Picture of how the Main Land is Tasmania's playground...lol So i wrote a little rhyming ditty for ya Sue Well, Sydley's got the Coathanger and Bot-knee Bay to View. Then your up in Alice Spings, just how-high can she jump?. And way outback there is a place that they call The Black Stump. Briss-bane say, they got the beach and sunshine all year round. And Perf is in the West of Oz and sees the sun go down. Darwing!! well its way up there I'm sure we all agree, there weather never... ever gets... below, a 30c But all in all a special place, a little sarf of Vic. An Island they call Tassie, where they-housed the Convict. We love her really Jeffster, but she WILL pinch our numbers, just lays in wait and boom - she's got it. We've tried everything - poisoned meat, padlocks, chains, big dogs, guns, you name it - nothing seems to work (not even Lew Lews coloured pills). Trifley - I know too much you say? .. tee hee. .. If you mean what I was saying about Victoria, its just that I have travelled the length and breadth of the country, .. Just a know all. .. (If I can remember things, then that is a blessing lol) By the way I am getting Court Jeffster and Waggers mixed up! .. How can I tell you apart? .. Which one is the 6'3 blonde firie (tongue in cheek) Jood |

Good morning Wattlers, or is it good afternoon in your part of Oz. Have the curtains faded yet. I wish we had daylight saving, I was up at 4.30 am anyway, the sun is just getting about then, the chooks are squacking, the cat is scratching so I have to rise and shine also. Much rather have the extra daylight at the end of the day. I enjoyed the quiz Tony, because i don't get on in the evening, I copy it and the answers and do the quiz over my morning cuppa, and no I don't cheat. New the cordwainer one cause I have a few of them in my family. Hope you have a good time in Montville, Trifley. Word of warning, get your tissues out before you get to Australia Zoo. Don't know why but my eyes filled up when I passed by. Did you forget the clocks Laurie and Shazz. Bet you are all still in bed sleeping off the evenings indulgences. LOL Got a busy day ahead, having made contact with one of Nevilles cousins I can now fill out my tree, I am expecting it to add at least another 200 just in the cousins and their offspring. Very large family of rabbits. Its a bit cooler today, we never got a storm yesterday and with the heat all the grass is now crunching under foot, well what little bit of grass we have left. Those watering from the washing machine, becareful of the soap powder you are using, it could kill of your plants within a few weeks. Got that warning on TV the other night, think it is to do with pospherus or something. Before I go, does anyone have any Irish Duggans in their tree. Neville's cousin's wife is searching this name without much luck. By for now, hope you all have a great day Luv SuzyQ |

Morning Wattlers Yes it's the third pom. Now listen - I have a real dilemma here - the Cat is a fellow pom and yet I have been left to protect the numbers. The big gun didn't deter her, cos she's got others that are disguised. I think in retrospect that was a blessing, I'd hate to hurt her really. So, the question is - why don't we just keep them in the safe? |

Jood...make sure you give me a call when you are going to be in Bendigo, we can have a cuppa, and yak...swap a few tables...you know the way it goes he he. Lovely morning here, i have been carting the shower water out to the garden. Trying to save a bit of it, not doing too bad at the moment. And it must be building up my arm muscles...doesn't look like it though lol. I have the washing machine on the back veranda so that i can run that water on the fernery and use it for the pot plants. Hope we get some rain soon, can some of you peeps send some this way please?? Ok well, i better get going, the morning has gotten away from me, cause i didn't get up by the clock, i listened to my body and it said stay in bed, stay in bed, he he. Have a great day everyone. Mills and Ogle are his Ancestors, and the Mrs.Ogle in this article is his G,G,Grandma and the neice of Captain Mills. My daughter Melanie (the one who is due in 4 weeks )will add decendants to this family. He is Lance Ogle, and his family tree dates back to Northumberland Ogle's and Ogle Castle. ps. Hoping to get a 'FREE' holiday ..at the castle....LOL pps: Its the only way i can beat.....Bar-code Barb..:>)) Warrnambool Standard....re:Mahogany Ship June 14 1890 She was over 8 miles from the spot where I notice the Age search was made by a party of Warrnambool gentlemen for the wreck which, in my opinion, no one but the late Captain J. B. Mills saw. What makes me incline to this view is the fact that my father, the late Peter Mills, who came to Port Fairy in the year 1838, never saw the wreck, although I have repeatedly heard him relate how his uncle, the late Captain Mills, once stood on her deck, that he tried to cut a piece of her timber off with his knife, that the timber was that hard that he could not cut it, and that it was somewhere near Warrnambool. Koroit Residents Recollections Of late, as a result of the attempts to obtain particulars concerning the old story of a wreck of a 17th century Dutch or Spanish ship near Warrnambool, public interest has been aroused in this interesting piece of early Australian history. Mrs Ogle, of Koroit, an old resident, 78 years of age, widow of the late Mr J. Ogle, has supplied some facts which may help the investigation. Mrs Ogle has resided in the vicinity of Tower Hill for the past 66 years. She was a niece of the late Capt. Mills, a whaler of the early days, who resided at Port Fairy. When she was twelve years of age she remembers that Capt. Mills went to the wreck of the Mahogany Ship and he marked the exact position of it in his log book. Tony Oz...who hates Geno stuff......lol update: Thanks Jood, but he has al the Pickles ,mate handed down through the genearations....but thanks for the offer x |

Morning I'm grumpy cos I didn't get to do the quiz last night - visitors. Hi Waggy- yes we're all Wattlers but that cat is a pommy Wattler and sneaks in and grabs our numbers while we are asleep - not terribly sporting of her, Wot? On the other side, someone thought that wattles were those dangly things around turkey's necks and that we were just a gaggle of old turkeys with wrinkly necks!!!!!!!!! The nerve of them!!!!Don't worry - we put them straight in no uncertain terms! No Lotto - but the numbers were a bit shonky - 3 in a row!!!! 34, 35, and 36.... you'd have to be tinny to get those. Girls are here filming and making fake blood and turning the garage into some sort of crime scene - there is a sign on the door - 'Out of bounds' so I'm a little concerned as to what is going on in there! Katherine had fake blood all overe her face and she appears to have been allergic to one of the ingredients as her face is now scarlet! Oh the pain one goes through for one's art! Catch you all later XXx Anna |

It was your Koroit I was talking about Tony lol .. My dd & s-i-l have a property on the rim of an extinct volcano down there at Tower Hill, and Koroit is nearby. .. It is soooo historical down there, gives you an eerie feeling, especially hearing about the Mahogany ship missing in the sand somewhere between Pt. Fairy and Warrnambool. .. Have walked along the beach there, hoping the ship would pop up lol. Of course the Great Ocean Road is filled with history and is a must-see for everyone. Tony I'll start learning all my towns in readiness for the quiz lol Jood |
