Jude2 aka Flakey Report 30 Oct 2006 07:47

Hi Wattlers please take whichever applies....happy birthday, happy anniversary, hope your feeling better or have a nice time....lol sorry dont have much time. Thanks for all the good wishes for Mum Mum is now installed in a rehab hosp after spending 2 days in the emergency ward. She is in no pain but cant do anything for herself. We are not impressed with where she is but had no choice at the moment. The place is old but at least the staff were friendly and everything was clean. We will see how she goes for a couple of days and if we arent happy will move her to my sisters and get help in. Have to fly, oh will be in for dinner any second and I have nothing organised....not that he will care. Catch you all later Flakey

Trifley

Trifley Report 30 Oct 2006 07:21

Trifley sticks together bits of broken phone with duct tape......hoping that motel proprietors will not notice the crack on the handset. VERY, VERY short phone lead attached to lappy to enable dial-up. Waiting.......waiting.....waiting....slow as a wet week. Hi my crazy friends....first off happy birthday Yvette......may it be the best ever and only the first of many. Big b'day hugz to you. Dial up is SOOOOOOO slow compared with broad band. Went for a walk around some of the craft shops.....the girrafe shop is right next door to the candle shop.....how convenient! If the duct tape and phone hold together I'll catch up with you all tomorrow. Big hugz from deep in side a relaxing rain forest. love Trifley X

Typing as I try to get my sides repaired from laughing so much . . I have just been talking to Princess Lew, conversations with her are so memorable!!! Anyway the poor princess is still in the land of no internet or landline, I suggested she should tell Telstra that she needs the phone cause hubby hurt her car and he is on life support . . so maybe she will give it a go !! Yvette, Lew said to tell you she dina forget your birthday . . . she just couldn't get online to send you a greeting! but asked for her love to be sent on to you - and Sandra, she remembered your anniversary too and sends her good wishes & love. Mary, Lew got the parcel for the tiddlers !! Thank you . . . she also got one off me today so has something to play with . . . I sent her her own Mr Wonderful and some Maya Indian worry people, she is going to tell the worry people that they are now Telstra voodoo dolls and dish out some pain! Telstra wont be visiting the remote country township of Mudgee untill Wednesday afternoon . . . what a load of rubbish - its 2006, and Mudgee is certainly not tha far in the boonies!!!! Anyway best go finish prepareing for the return of the man of the house, I still have to put my feet up and rest for 30 minutes so that I am fresh to greet him with a smile and take away the worries he has had at work today. . . Yeah right !!! cheers luv Laurie

Yoo Hoo Jilly - I am not so dumb after all. For all the other Wattlers Bara Brith (Welsh Fruitcake) Soak 10oz. mixed dried fruit in 2 cups hot tea, cover and let stand overnight. Strain the fruit, saving the liquid. Add 3 oz. brown sugar, grated rind of a lemon, 1 ¼ teaspoons pumpkin spice (or any mixture of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, allspice), 1 egg and 12oz. self-rising flour to the fruit. Add the liquid a bit at a time until the batter is of soft, dropping consistency. Pour into a greased brown paper lined 2lb. loaf pan and bake at 350F for 45-55 minutes until firm to the touch. Sounds nice too Jood

Anna I've sent the birthday list as opposed to the addresses. .. Sorry, I didn't realise Tassy had sent it to you. .. And worst of all, I forgot Fanny's birthday also :( Jilly what is Bara Brith? .. Is it a bird, is it superman??? .. lol Hi to all Jood

Good afternoon Wafflers . . . I have just been graced with a telephone call from our most regal Queen !! Trifley & Graeme have arrived in Montville, checked in to a very comfy spot, surrounded by the rain forest, with birds chirping their little heads off - just a short walk from the craft shops. . . so guess what they are doing this afternoon! Trade off for Graeme is a trip down the road to winneries tomorrow !! Trifley has tried to connect to telephone line, and short of pulling the phone our of the wall she wont be able to get online - said she has started to relax already, and will be in touch in the next couple of days - sends her love to all !!!!! catch you all later luv Laurie

Well Back, Sorry I was so short this morning Mary. I had just looked at my calender and seen that I had forgotten Yvettes birthday, seems I wasn't the only one, I think hers is the only birthday in October. I do hope we are all forgiven. Since I found Neville's cousin we have been busy swapping info. It's the first time I have had such a close relative to share with. We are also catching up on family stuff. Neville has a very large family on his dad's side and they are all very nice, but Neville's mum wasn't too keen an them, so he didn't get to all the family dos until later in life. I will be able to add about another 200 people to my tree when they let me have the info. And that is Neville's generation and down. He has about 25 cousins and they all have children etc etc. I actually found them after I added my tree to Ancestry. Flakey, I do hope that you mum will be okay. Has she got anyone to be with her. To Sandra and Mike, hope you enjoy your birthday and anniversary celebrations. Tony, how is the little vixen? My dog used to play with one out in the paddock at night, I wouldn't tell anyone because the farmers around here at that time would have put baits out. We were watching one the other morning, very early, it was stalking the kangaroos, needless to say they got away. Well, I suppose I had better get a move on, trying to sort out the filing cabinet and decide what I can throw away. Love to one and all SuzyQ

Morning all, a lovely day today ,,again,,no rain, SuzyQ, That was a quick message from you, LOL are you all OK, Yvette I seem to have missed your birthday to I think so sorry and hope you had a lovely day. Lew, I bet you are suffering withdrawl symptoms like the rest of us when we cant get on line..pmsl not long to go now, and you will be back, You can take Lily to the doctor in the meantime.. Fluffy Hope you are OK and we are here for you if you need a pick me up..BIG HUGS. Queen Hope you enjoy your time away and rest and recooperate, try a little plastic bending , wonderful exercise they say..lol Flakey Hows your mum doing, Hope they have managed to put her together again and she will be back soon ruling the roost.just you watch out girl,,,, seriously now,, I do hope she is OK and is on the mend..What a shock it must have been, BIG HUG for Mum,, Tassie I know just what you mean about the tourists, I have stopped walking on the beachfront at Manly as there are so many tourists you spend your time either dodging them or bumping into them when they just wander everywhere without looking so now we dont go to Manly anymore. Only if we want to get the ferry to town do we venture in and then we have to take a bus as there is no parking more than 2 hours the whole length of the beach all the way to Queenscliffe which is a 2 to 3 km walk if you want to park all day.Its more trouble than its worth so we dont bother much any more. Good luck with son whatever it is.. Joodles you are as bad as Cat person. We will have to put a lock on your door also..LOL Must go,, I hear a coffee calling,,back later Love to all Mary xxxxx
