Morning Wattlers, 2 days off - yaaaaaaaaayyyy - can't wait for Dec 4 so I can get back to my normal routine especially if yesterday happens too many times this month - so stressed I polished off a bottle of Southern Comfort when I got home - pmsl - there was only a little bit left!!! Had lovely rain here yesterday and last night - overcast today. Anna - glad the puta's okay but omgosh all the other things. Hope it doesn't take too long to sort. Laurie's a psychopath - lol - more likely she's got a logical mind to come up with the correct answer - see SuzyQ's email. I'm worried about my workmate cos she got it right too. Honey Rum - lovely to see you drop in again. Tassie - enjoy the V8s and congrats on winning tickets. Trifley - glad you're having a nice break and spending money in Big W - lol - are you trying to outdo Tassie with the lights - piccles please both of you when they're up and glowing. Doesn't feel like Christmas is just around the corner - as someone said I've been in retail too long - but just seems a bit flat this year even with all the deccies out on sale. Lew - wish you'd said no Chrissie cards before I got mine all writ -just joking folks - I'm not that organised and usually still doing them a few days before the event. Better get some chores done around here so I'll pop back in later. Puta will go off so I'm not tempted to pop in every time I look at it. Have a great day ~~~~~~~~~~~ to everyone Gwenda |

Just popping in to say goodnight It's been a big day - full of frustrations. Ergon practically didn't want to know about us this morning but after many phone calls we finally got an asessor around here this afternoon. He has all the other claims from 20 houses in our street to do over the coming weekend so won't be until Monday that we get any word on what the next step is. However we are getting our garage door fixed in the morning and the air conditioninag unit looked at tomorrow afternoon. So that is a start. Meantime no TV, microwave, portable phone, hi fi etc etc. Even my treadmill packed it in - and someone came to visit us this morning and we realized the doorbell had fried also! Looks like it may be some time before we get back to normal. The local paper came around and talked to us this morning so OH may have his picture in the paper tomorrow! If you're reading Queen Trifley -looking forward to seeing you tomorrow and at least the puter is going so you can get on line and terrorize the underlings! Make sure your subjects are behaving themselves in your absence! Wishing you strength for your Dad's anniversary Flutters - not easy I know. ((((hugs))))) And Fanny - congratulations on making it through the term - hope you can relax for a little while. Pam, you fluffy little duck, how is ya? Thinking of you. We haven't had a drop of rain even though we were promised storms tonight. Missed us altogether. Have a great break Vonny - not sure if I've missed you. Catch you all tomorrow X Anna |

Hello again all you lovely Wattlers... I have been busy these last few weeks with family and other stuff, but have managed to come on and read a few messages on here from time to time, and was let back on last Monday after my suspension!! Love to Trifley and Pam and you were both in my thoughts and thanks to Laurie and others for keeping me up to date with matters... Jood... so glad you are enjoying your walks around the shops... I snapped my plastic while I was over there so now am trying to save as much as I can for next time... we must have a day out again in Penrith ... Thankyou all for your lovely messages and especially Laurie for all the jokes and hugs I received from her... I have had to put them all in a file as I don't want to lose them... I show the family some of them when they come over and one of my grandchildren asks if there have been any more since her last visit... she loves the funny ones!! It's gone very cold and frosty at night here just now... -3 last night and we expect the same over the next few days.. dry in the day so that's a blessing... My 2 eldest daughters are back from their week away in Gran Canaria... so I now am the proud owner of a bottle of my favorite tipple..'Honey Rum' (Ron Miel).. it's a liqueur, very sweet, but strong and great over ice!! Apparently the Hotel was fabulous so I may just check it out next year...I love the Canary Isles. Am having the hall, stairs and landings and porches decorated next week, it has been needing it for a couple of years , so have to get out and pick a new carpet soon... Take good care of yourselves and love to all.. Anne xxx |

Off to Toowoomba in the morning.....will be seeing Anna and Chris later in the day. What was Laurie right about and why should I strike her off my list? Big hugz to you all. Love Trifley X |

Lew's gonna hate me, but the rain in spain falls mainly on the plain - not only on the blue mountains, but over our main dam - quite heavyish. .. Yesterday they said the dam was less than 40% full. .. Yaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh According to my BOM map - its also down Wagga way, and towns n-w of there. I'm tired Jood |

Evening Wattlers Well we also had rain today, not a lot but a nice steady drop for half the day. Flutters, ((((Hugs to you)))) for this weekend. Jude DIY the V8's are here next weekend 10th to 12th yes I was lucky but if you dont give it a go your not going to win, aint that right Tony? Im sure Barb would agree with the competitions, I wont win the 'Hot Laps' as you had to be the one who answered the most questions right to win that, but I dont think the ol heart would take it lol. Also it would have ta be a Ford for me to even think about it hee hee. Well my eyes are tired tonight as I have been checking out the free Ancestry offer today, havent found any elusive rellies yet but it is interesting looking, as I havent been on the site, mainly due to the fact that it needs credit card and at moment we cant afford that extra costs. ~~~~ to all ~~~~ I'm going to bed, catch you all tomorrow. Cheers Sue |

gawd it might be me x ed off. owning up to be the most hopeless birthday and xmas person on earth. feeling guilty? who have I forgotten? janet, your memories will keep your dad alive, lucky to have a good one!!!! Tony, its the opposite in our house, the poor boys have had to endure their mum as mrs happy camper, adrian is not keen - period. one night he blessed us with his company, cause he was working close by and it was easier than driving home., kids and Adrian both said never again. vonny ooh, sussex singlet. only 1 and a bit hours from here. we even go there for footy in the arvo. we used to always go to bendalong, before it started getting too busy. exactly 100 k's from home, so easy to return miserable kids and go back again. thanks for the kind offer mary, i'll get cracking and see what i need. actually replied to a couple of people in the 'trying to finds' today. i hope they are nice and are happy that I wrote. who knows? so much for the rain, all it did was make my windows splodgy, grass is getting yellower by the minute. watched the news though and it said there was rain in the catchment areas. wheres pussy cat? hope you're ok julie? i love going to sydney jood, its a real treat wandering about hey? how long does the train take from the mountain? off to find something yummy. made some ginger and garlic fish for tea with salad. rice and yoghurt might finish me off nicely. does anybody else make that? heat up left over rice and stir in l/f fruit yo. it tricks my taste buds. love yvette x |

Flutters, I was close to my dad too. Suzy - what on earth is this all about ..... 'Laurie got it right, you may want to cross her of your list.' Who is being crossed off and why ???? .. Is it moi?? Guess what Wattlers - ITS RAINING IN THE BLUE MOUNTAINS - has been going steady for the past hour at least, pouring down. .. Luckily it didnt happen when I was in town, or walking from the station, as there is no cover, and I didn't take that little stick thing (umbrella I think its called). .. It had been quite humid in the city, and then cool when I got home. .. What turned out to be a quick trip lengthened into a most enjoyable time - Myers - Centrepoint - DJ's. .. Nice to see all the lovely clothes, no I didn't bend the plastic - I'd already broken it when I bought some shoes. .. Sat up in DJ's and had coffee & cake - roamed around DJ's food hall - (that is a must). .. I think I did more walking than anything else. .. Must have been months and months since I walked around, as I noticed a few renovations here and there. Now off to find something to eat - yes I know - its late. .. Been having some computer problems. Jood (oh, Fanny - congrats) |

Hi Wattlers, at last I have a moment to myself, this time of year gets quite busy here. I am trying hard to keep DD15 on the straight and narrow, today was her first end of year exam so we have (all) been eating and sleeping properly, scheduling study time around her other commitments – pipe band, choirs, new job, and drama and circus on the weekends can’t be missed because of the end-of year productions. Anyway I’ve got a big calendar printed off and we check each day what to do, and so far no dramas and a very positive feeling, so I’m pleased. I don’t know how she will go in exams though - English teacher rang last week about some missing homework and gave her an extra essay to do, then when she handed it in her year co-ordinator found her at lunchtime to tell her how impressed he was with it (subject “Lying” – enough said!!) Plus there’s a bit of “lurve” in the air…… gosh, I wouldn’t be dead for quids, I don’t have to watch Neighbours or anything similar lol. And it’s raining !!! Preceded by a dust storm of course, but finally a bit of wet stuff –all the pot plants have been put out for a drink, I do hope they get a decent one. Lol about Melbourne drivers – I was thinking this morning that there’ll be a whole lot of newbie L and even P platers who’ve NEVER driven in rain before !! makes ya’ think!! Anna - my my, someone at Ergon Energy must have a very red face!! What a P I T A ! Must go now, am making a quick rogan josh curry with all the leftovers in the fridge, hooray for jars ! Hope everyone gets rain !! ((hugs )) to everyone having challenging times, you will overcome. Hz PS my OH has several similar stories to yours Tony re our daughter, since we have had to holiday one parent at a time, he has had his share of grief when travelling with her ((hugs)) Flutters |

Flutters. Best wishes to you mate. Think D&Ds ( Dads and Daughters ) will always be close. Not saying that boys and there dads aren't .....but nothing more special than daddy's little girls. Of course I'm being bias..( having 5 girls )..but I'm allowed to....lol Funny but also sad story for us Dad's with all daughters: When my eldest Teena ( now 34 ) was only 12 i took her camping up at Thornton, near Alexandra( caravan Park ) We were going fishing, and i remember pulling into the Park, and paid to set up a tent. Well...i got the look ( up and down ) from the owners. Who's this 30year old bloke with a young 12 year old girl, who want to camp on the river side in a tent. Mmmmm...felt a bit like i was being grilled, just because i wanted to take my daughter fishing and camping.....like i was some dirty old man or something. Also, one night same daughter wanted to see the movie 'Grease' with Olivia & John revolting......so i took her to the Drive-inn movies, as she had never been before. About an hour after the movie started, she wanted to go to the toot ( Toilet ) and i thought at 10 years old, i better go with her as you dont know who might be hanging around. She went into the Ladies, and i stood outside and waited for her. A lady came out of the toot with a young girl, and abused me. She said, what are you hanging around the ladies toilets for...you dirty ol man...and I'm going to report you to the manager..you pervert. Mmmm..yes, well i tried to explain ( that my 10 year old daughter was in the Toilet,) and i was waiting for her. Well the next minute, she struck out at me, calling help....and pervert. So you see.....its not easy for Dads and Daughters, and thats why we are protective of our girls...even if it means getting abused, and on occassion even hit.....LOL You toucha my daughter i breaka you face. Tony Oz....:>))) |
