G'day All Wattlers, Just popped in quick and say hello, had lots of rain since Thursday, sorry fanny you dident get much up your end, my daughter lives closer to your end and they dident get much either up till Friday morning, its very heavy cloud today maybe some more rain? Happy Anniversary Gwenda and John have a great day. Have been doing lots of odd jobs, have even wrapped Xmas presents, had a new hot match so am busy sorting it out as a very deffinite branch of our tree. I dont reeeeeeally mind my G,Great marrying my G,Grandads sister....but i can just visualize the scenario in 1851.and think he should'a kept his mits offa my G,Grandads sister. He was born 1813...she was born 1835.........22 odd years her snr. Nothing wrong with that.....but its the sneaky way he went aboot it. Can just see him waltzing into town ( widowed ) with 3 kids. His eldest, Elizabeth.... marry's Ben Hull (eventually )....then he realizes Ben has an older sister.....He thinks...Mmmmmm..cute likkle filly......lol.....In 1854 he is 41 ......she is 19.......so he hangs around a bit. Next minute....Whammo...she has illigitemate child born 1855........and agin....Whammo....Illegitimate child 1860...but he gets caught out this time, and is nominated as the father...........so he decides to marry her in 1861..( goody two shoes )....but a bit late mate.......cos ya got sprung.....:>))) and...he didnt realize his decendants in 2006 would find out aboot it.....tsk tsk.... Goodmorning one and all . . . an overcast day here on the bay - not much in the way of heavy falls of rain here in the last 24hrs, but lots of drizzle. Just watching two ships pass in the heads - one coming - one going, looking all shrouded in mystery in the clouds and fog. There are five giraffe necks stretched high in the clouds (6 if you count Imara here on the sideboard) Thanks to the Queen, Bazza now has his own pet giraffe, and chosen the name Imara! Sure the girls meeting up today will have a wonderful time . . both in Toowoomba, and at Redcliffe. Had birth certs of gtgran Eliz Anne, and showed her parents, but on census father is different name . . so assumed it was a typo . . her marriage & death both had same as birth, (James) but the mother went thru with John by her side . . . turns out gtgrans dad James, died when she was a bub, and mum married his father John. Eliza Anne went on to marry her cousin . . (I get some mileage out of some of the relationships that have come to light teeeheee) You will have to scan the article Anna, and send it to us so we can see the whole thing . . . Numbers look good Wilson, just hope the silly machine knows which ones it has to pull out !! Good luck tonight all . . . Morning Wattlers Well we have got the best of days here today, yesterday was also great but I was too busy witht he free time at Ancestry to see much of the outside world, but I did fing my GG Grandparents and GGG Grandparents on different census'mainly 1841 and 1871, very interesting as I hadnt ventured that far with my research as yet, with me only doing my tree for a couple of years. Gwenda and Dave Happy Anniversary. I hope you have a lovely time. Anything special planned ?? Sounds like some are meeting up in Qld, do we get pickies??? I wont be about tomorrow as I have to drive the bus to Burnie this time for a meeting, Dannielle wants to come too for a drive and as we have a spare seat everyone said that will be ok, Im sure she will find something to amuse herself as a friend husband is also coming and they might go for a walk along the beach while we are in our meeting. Tamika has got work tomorrow otherwise she could have come too. But she did love her first pay and first up she gave me some money to put in a savings account for her and then she went and bought some clothes, didnt have a lot left but I dont think many would for their first pay. Anna - read the story but like Jood didn't see a piccle so tell Chris it's okay - don't know why there is no piccle if you've got one - I got an ad for austar in the middle of the page. Can't say it's a privacy thing cos the front page shows a young sportslady - rather strange. Jood - sun is shining here although still cloudy - if that makes sense. Workmate's son gets married today so they want a fine day and I've got washing to do so I do too.
