Mary. I dont have a lot on this side ( Irish ) and so far removed from my line.......... but to the best of what i can find out so far. Jane Cullen arrived here ( aged 13 )with her brother William and parents John Cullen and Joanna/Martha Cullen in 1858 on the Ship: 'Castilian' They settled in Rich Avon..Victoria. Ezra Hull was a selector/Horseman/Farmer/Coachman at Cope Cope ( near Donald ) The two married 19th Oct 1872 St.Arnaud........Ezra Hull was killed in the Main Street. of Donald in 1883 when the Horses bolted. He was pulled from his seat and fell across the splashboard and died of multiple head injuries. ( poor bloke ) After Ezra died......Jane Hull ( nee Cullen dissapeared off the face of the earth? Havent researched the Cullen side to much as yet, but i have copied/pasted what you typed...and keep it in me little yellow folder....:>))) Tony Oz...:>))

Tony My Cullens come from Scotland but were born in Ireland. Bernard Cullen born 1861 Ireland, (dont know where) Annie Cullen born 1864 Ireland dont know where Patrick Cullen 1892 son born Ireland John son born 1895 born Hamilton Lanark Scotland Mary born 1897 Hamilton Lanark Bernard born 1890 Hamilton It is Mary I am connected to. Joodles. Daughter number one is doing fine mate. She has met a new bloke, who i will meet to-morrow ( at the B.B.Q ).......he is a little older than she ( 47 ) but his hair is greyer than mine...so he should be o'k........lol ( Ford Racing fanatic ) which should make Sue ( Tassie ) smile........ Jood Valda came up in my hot matches as a possible connection as we both have Cullens in our tree.Sorry to say we cant find a match at the present.. Well my new curtain is up and looks fantastic. Now when we have visitors we can screen off the study and the place will look tidy. Ooops - sorry Mary - sometimes we have peeps come here once and never heard of again. .. Mt Riverview is also just about 10 minutes away from me. Are you meeting her in town for coffee or is she going all the way out to your place? Yes, I got the dribbles too, <noooooooooooo, not me! the baby)keep a small face washer for those. .. When last seen, Lucas was in his capsule in the car with a felt steering wheel .. lol Our Melbourne Cup sweep tomorrow - of which I previously mentioned I am helping to run, won't have that much of a win by the time we have 1st 2nd & 3rd .. To be honest, I don't like seeing the horses running, I prefer to wait till the result comes up on the board. .. Can't bear to see a horse fall over. Am alternately hot and cold today - depending on whether I am working hard or not !!! Jood

Jood Valda has introduced herself about 5 messages back. She is from Mt. Riverview near BLaxland so quite close to you I thought, or are you further up nearer Springwood. Glad you had a nice time babysitting. Bet you got lots of cuddles and a few dribbles... Still drizzling down here and not the warmest today. Dont get very excited re the melb.cup but if there is a sweep around I usually go in it. I won it once down in Dunolly. Got about $25 and spent it on eats for happy hour at the BBQ the next afternoon to share with all, Very nice. Waiting for the curtain man to come and hang a new curtain for me. Hi all. Count me in for the Melbourne Cup - don't know how you got so many peeps without us even knowing you were having one????? Mary, the lady from Blaxland is very close - its where Honey Rum stayed when she was here. .. What is her name?? I had a delightful morning with Lucas in between cleaning out the garage (while he was asleep) .. He is sooo active, and soooo happy - I've never known a baby like him. .. He gets up on all fours, rocks himself and shuffles his back legs behind him, then lays down, picks himself up again and tries harder. .. In his bouncinette his little legs are going all the time .. His mum said she was having a bath with him, and he kicked the water so hard it was all over the bathroom. .. Sometimes I'd be doing something like writing, and I'll look up and here was Lucas beaming at me. After they left, I attacked the garage, boxes and boxes (like pc components, slow cooker, little oven) - why the hell I thought I'd need all thoses boxes on a rainy day I dont know, so I've been packaging them all out in readiness for the collection tomorrow. .. I see some more space in the garage now - hooray. I don't know how long this cleaning up bug will last, but will make the most of it. :)) Jood

We have some very cluey people on here and some have 30 odd(and I mean odd) years of genealogy behind them,he.he.he. Good afternoon Wattlers Fine here today but we had such lovely rain over the weekend - 44 mls - the Queen brought it for me! I'm off to a Melbourne Cup Luncheon tomorrow with some other retired teachers. We all sit around and play ladies at one of the local restaurants which runs a special cup function. We do enjoy sitting back, sipping some bubbly and thinking about all the years we missed out on Melbourne Cup Functions! Last year I won the lucky door prize - $100 voucher for dinner at the restaurant. I don't suppose I'll be that lucky this year! We are still trying to see our way through the murky waters of getting our equipment fixed after the power surge. Our Bose Hi-Fi has to go back to Sydney - possibly 6 weeks until we get it back! A local company is picking up the TV's tomorrow - don't know how long they will be. Also waiting on advice re the airconditioning, door bell, phone, microwave, my treadmill - at least the garage door is fixed! A kind neighbour has lent us their 2nd TV. hi wattlers, gee you're keen reading all the posts valda. rain returned home at the same time as me. washing is dry but in a huge heap, pegs are all over the ground but i've got the rest of the day to pick them up have had a very energetic morning and got fed while i was out. time for coffee and write out a job application. love Yvette x
