Evening All Well we are home, dried out and warmed up with a lovely tuna and pineapple dish with chips. Jude 2, you with have to tell OH to cheer hard to get the fords over the line at the end of the championships, Lowndes lost his first place to Tamika's pin up boy in Rick Kelly, so my OH David and Tamika are all smil;es but Dannielle and myself had a quiet trip home. As you would have seen on TV we had rain and more rain today, total oppisite to yesterday. Didnt stop the crowd though which is good. Ok Im off to bed as Im totally worn out tonight already looking for my bed. ~~~~ to all Catch you tomorrow. Cheers Sue |

Yes Jude, me too - from Toys-r-us - we do have one, I just have to find it. .. Personally I love the feel of the pull on your finger when the kite dives and twists (almost like catching a fish I hear you say! lol) I think I saw Wilson on MSN the other day - I'll keep my eye out for her. Jood |

Had a lovely 2 days with my little girls, they are so good. My Jess had a great job yesterday. She was a hostess at A Day On The Green, a concert at a winery in the Yarra Valley. She was so excited to eat dinner across the table from Chris Issac. Said the concert was great and she got paid to go ....cant get much better than that...lol Tassie did you enjoy the cars? We watched the 2nd & 3rd races on the TV today. OH is a hugh Ford fan. We have tickets for Phillip Is 8th Dec. Tony you have given me the idea of a kite for a pressie for my 10yr old nephew in WA....thanks, he's always hard to buy for. WILSON....where are you????? ~~~~to everyone Flakey |

Hi Lara There is a index to cemetery records in the NSW state library and Rookwood is included I think. I have just applied for a readers card as you cant search on line without one. They also have many other records one can use so as soon as I get my card I will have a search for you. Rookwood is one of the biggest cemeteries in Sydney. Would it help if you could find out if that lady who wrote the book is alive or dead.Where do we access the electoral rolls. are we able to search them..also see if you can find a death. I am not very good at searching for Aussie rellies as mine are all overseas. If anyone is interested in joining the State LIbrary you can do it up till the end of Nov. on line..Much easier that going into town. Time for a coffee.. Love Mary xxx |

Arvo Wattlers. Took grandaughter 5 year old.....over to local park, and we did some kite flying while there was a bit of wind around. The smile on her face was worth every penny as she hung onto the string for dear life and watched her kite sail high into the sky....lol So perhaps Santa might bring her, her very own Butterfly kite for Xmas. Jood & perhaps anyone that has links to W.A might find this site interesting for research.....Unless they already know about it? http://www.slwa.wa.gov.au/pdf/battye/pods/Post_Office_Directories_Contents.html Its the The Western Australia Post Office Directory [Wise & Co] with peeps listed from 1893 to 1949. Also another site for W.A is the 'WELCOME WALL' http://www.museum.wa.gov.au/welcomewalls/search.asp Tony Oz....:>)) * who had to climb a tree t get the Kite down ....at least 3 times*.....LOL |

~~~~~~~~~~Lara, Slow down :) Ok, easiest ones first. John caught the mullet with prawns BUT he used a pollard burley first. The program I use is call Dragon Naturally Speaking version 8. I am sorry, it was a pressie so I don't know how much it was. There might be an updated version available now. It didn't take me long to get the hang of it and it is about 90% right first time - you do need to speak clearly though. When it is wrong it does come up with some very funny sentences!!! I will ask John about the Veterans exhibit. I'll try to get a recent pickle of Mia to send off too. Vonny |
gday all Yes Lew did get a reply to an email I sent Cilla and she is still waiting for results not to good though so hope she gets them soonand at least finds out whats happening . Vonny did you read my post re The Vietnam Vetrans display John was going to be doing after you were here please? Mike wanted to know if it is permanant please or will it be replaced after so long ?Also I wanted to know about the program you have what is it called please? Is it called Dragon ?and if you don't mind telling me how much it was ? Got the' pickle of Erin and its lovely smiling even. Did you eat all the fish you caught? and what did you catch them on please live bait or lures? now the inquizition is over you are at ease welcome back .lol Hi Gwenda how's your weather? bit overcast here and we have RAIN all night too Yahoo light rain which is good as it gets to soak in then doesn't all go down the drain very warm still though quite pleasant actually not unbearably humid OK NOW on to a serious subject please what do I do next I have found out due to a kind soul on the WA passenger lists how my Patrick and Margaret Walsh came to Fremantle , and he also added that they had both been buried in St Thomas's Churchyard NSW but they were exhumed and both buried in Rookwood Cemetery . The important piece of info Brian gave me was that a Lady called Miss J Hamilton wrote a family History on this family but he only had the address for her as 97 Station St Petersham in 1984/85 and she is no longer there of course she may have gotten married or if she was an older person back in 84/85 then she may have joined the Ancesters of course, I went straight into the white pages and rang all the Hamiltons in Petersham today with no luck noone knew of her.Although I did leave messages on some peeps phones.Has anyone please got an idea as to what I can do to help find this lady or her Family History book please I have googled and put a message on the Walsh roots web site re it but it seems to be mostly yanks on there . I am going to do a message on the Cemetery list to see if I can find out if St Thomas Cemetery was closed and all the remains were moved or what and if not who was it that arranged the moving of Patrick Walsh and Margaret Mary to Rookwood. I am also going to the NSW list web page and putting a message on there right now can't think of anything . Hello to Trifley Pam Jood Lew Laurie Shaz How's Rob, Mary hope John is a lot better too Sandra Pat Cilla Jill Julie Wilson Hz Jude Diy Judy Melb Donna Mel Yvette and all who I havn't mentioned ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Love Lara |
