Morning Wattlers. I'm up early too Yvette. Naughty magpies were singing outside the bedroom window! Doing the school run this week for Miss Ellie (14), as her parents have to take granddad to Sydney for heart surgery, so I get to play chauffeur. Hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday. Lew Lew xxx

*****LAURIE****** Hold it. Stay as you are - I made a mistake - you are actually 3 March, I had to alter all the other March peeps too. .. No-one picked it up, or if they did, they were too polite to tell me. I'll stay where I am to save confusion. .. I'm sure I can buy one in Perth ????? Really sorry. .. If it has been someone the week before me, it would have been ok, but I'd upset the apple cart if I changed myself to March. Can you all alter you Lotto to Laurie 3 March Leah 10 March Trifley 17 March and so on. Jood

Hi all, long day, same tomorrow. Sorry to hear so many are sick and injured, hope you all get better soon. Thanks mate in advance. .. I promise I wont attack the postie like Lara does. .. Would you remind me about that movie on 23rd someone? .. As I don't have a tv guide. .. I just look up on tv every now and again. .. The movie sounds interesting. Lara, I'll try and ring up the cemetery before I fly out - (of the house, that is) - or when I get home (if it's not too late) Well we caught up with Cilla, Heather and Fanny - what about Flucky, Trifley and Donna? No-one has offered to swop with me for the weekend of 23 Dec ?? .. I trust you all got your updated Lotto dates? Mary you both must be soooo frustrated with those doctors. Wont be long and I'll be in bed. Night all Jood

Also forgot to mention..if anyones interested? It was televised last year, and if anyone missed it, or wanted to view it again. On ABC tele. 23rd Nov. 8:30pm Must See TV The Floating Brothel.... ABC television. The Lady Juliana convict women who came to VDL from Norfolk Island 1807-1813 The Lady Juliana lay six months in the River Thames while the goals were emptied and the women placed on board. She finally sailed from Portsmouth England on the 29th July 1789 and arrived at Port Jackson on 3rd of June 1790. The Lady Juliana was the first female convict ship to sail to the Colony of NSW and the first sailing of any convict ship since the first fleet sailed in 1788. When the ship was out to sea every man on board took a convict women for his wife. The number of female convicts on board the Lady Juliana varied, but it seems that 244-5 was the number that arrived in NSW. The voyage took twelve months less one day, calling into many ports. While in these ports it was an open ship, and was later to become known, as the 'Floating Brothel'. Before leaving England the good ladies of London donated fifty suits of child linen. This linen was to be used by the mid-wife in the event of there being children born on the voyage. There were seven births and five deaths. At least eight children accompanied their mothers, four of these later came to VDL. On arrival at Port Jackson 114 women were sent to Norfolk Island, others were sent later (194 in all) Many were to marry or live with men who were on the island, or would arrive later, convicts, ex-convicts and soldiers. In November 1791 a group of about 100 couples were married on the island by the Rev. Richard Johnson, no records of these ceremonies survived. Many couples claimed they were married on the island after they arrived in VDL. Tony Oz..:>))

Thats unfortunate Mary, but more important to get John's health sorted as soon as possible. Fingers crossed that all is well, and sorted soon. I have some visitors calling in for a couple of days after I get back from up home. Was thinking a trip across to Manly would be a good idea so they could get a better perspective of the harbour - will give you a call and see if you are able to join us for a cuppa - when I know what I am doing. Are you very far from Manly ???? Catch you later luv Laurie
