Hey I remember that game, Tony. It was fun until you hit yourself, lol. Brandings was another game and, ouch, that hurt. And what about crocodile, crocodile, may I cross the river. Hey maybe we should play that one with the Cat, pmsl And elastics was another Kids really do miss out on so much these days, don't they. All us kids in the street use to play on the road until late and there was never a problem. Mary, I don't think of your uncle's passing as a loss. How wonderful to have had him in your life for so long! Okay, better go a clean some more windows! Lew Lew xxx

Morning....:>))))Berocca sounds good for breaky.....Might help meself to a gallon or two. Jill. I couldnt scare a fly off a wall mate. Thanks for the flattery , it will get you everywhere....hee hee O'h..dont forget Debonaire and serfisticated...as well as good looking...O'h, and Modest too....lol Glad you liked the songs, mate, and hoped it gave you a smile....:>)))) Mary.Sorry to hear about your cousins father had died, but what a great life span,( 102 ) and i bet he could tell a few stories, and would be a very interesting man to listen to.I do a lot of work in pensioner homes and salvation army homes. I sit and have a cuppa with the snr citizens, and the lonely peeps, and listen to their stories while I'm working. One poor old dear in her late 90s was telling me that xmas is near, and that she hoped her son would come and visit her. ( Me knowing damn well that he hasn't been to see her in 5 years. ) ..as i talk to the nurses. So have a cuppa with them and listen to them reminiss.Even belt out a few old tunes with them sometimes.....lol Hz. Hoped i made ya feel 21 again...lol x Twas me own fault with the tomato seedlings, as i usually cover them with plastic, but didnt get a round-too-it. Hard to find them Round Too-its....lol I have put in a few more and will give them a bit of TLC. Merle. Hope you saw me in ya dreams......bit of a nighmare..aint i....hee hee.Best wishes to you for today with meeting the birth mum. Joodles. Your dead right mate. Kids of today are victims of the computer technology era, and whizz bang push button brain cell destroyer companies, that thrive on knowing that our kids and grandkids love the preety flashy lights on mobile phones and the likes, and run up whopping big phone bill's that there parents cant afford to pay.( hence Sarah's $900 Phone bill a few months back ) and i still feel the pain.....lol This is why i take my grandkids Kite fly-ing and build them cubby houses, and sand pits now, to save there mothers from killing them in the near future....hee hee Love catching up with old friends, and having a walk down memory lane. Lew- Vonny. Those were the best days of our lives i reckon. Barb drew a hopscotch on the footpath for Sarah the other day, and i was peeking out the window watching them play. Didn't cost me a cent....lol She also showed Sarah about putting a tennis ball in an old pair of stockings and standing against the wall doing what the girls used to do at school in the 50s-60s. Cant remember what it was called, but they used to hit the wall either side of them and under the legs and over the head, and they used to get up a real speed. I tried it once but, nearly ended up with a squeeky voice.....cos i didnt have me legs open wide enough....Nartamean...lol Have a great day peeps. Warm one here in Melbum and expected 31c today. Good morning all :) Lovely day. Think I might garden before it gets too hot. Ah yes - those were the days. We lived on the outskirts of 'the bush' at Forestville - it's practically an inner suburb these days, but back then it was all bush. Climbing trees and making cubbys in trees were my favourites. I could spend hours daydreaming at the top of a tree :) ~~~~~~~~~~~ see you later, Vonny

Morning Wattlers. Well Mudgee town is obscured by smoke, I presume from the Bell fires. It's horrible! Had a nice evening in town with friends. They're the parents of the girl I have been delivering to and collecting from school. Pam's father is in Sydney following heart surgery and when we spoke to Pam and Geoff yesterday, they both sounded pretty stressed. Terry suggested that we grab a couple of pizzas and take them up, so that's what we did and it was a nice relaxing evening. Loved the reminising Tony. I have recently been in touch with some friends who used to live in the same street growing up. We had a great laugh about the things we got up to. Climbing trees, playing hopscotch, riding our bikes and scooters up and down the road, making cubbies out of banana chairs, boy kids today miss out on a lot, lol. Discovered Mu Cat can swim! When I got up this morning, I noticed a lot of water beside the pool and a trail of water around the pool and under the bbq area. At the end of the trail was one very wet cat, lol. Well, at least he's now clean, hhhheeeeee Off to be some brekky Waves to all Lew Lew xxx

I reckon our childhoods were the bestest Tony - we didnt need tv's or play stations or computers to keep amused. You brought back memories of all those towns you mentioned. .. I will never forget travelling outback - it sure was some experience. .. Unlike you, I haven't kept in touch with childhood friends as I moved from Perth to Sydney as a young mum, adn made new friends. .. I do see one neighbour when I go back to Perth, the other neighbour lives down in the wine growing area of Margaret River. .. I do keep in touch with army friends tho - of some 35 years standing. .. And we do reminisce of boozy formal dinners (and driving home afterwards), as ya did in those days. (And dressing to the nines at such formal dinners) Merle - Hz lives in Albury, NSW. You and flutters are the only Perthites, me being an ex-Perthite. .. Were you born in Albany or somewhere else? .. I have a hard time correcting people on the right pronunciation of Albany :( .. I have a pic of my Dad standing on Dog Rock - I think he'd be arrested today if he did that! Well folks - I'm wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide awake now, off to have my shower. Have a good day all Jood

Evening folks. A bewdiful stary night in Melbin. Have been out for tea tonight ( Italian restaurant ) with some old primary school mates and their wifes from me old stamping grounds in Richmond in Melbin. Have known these 4 blokes since i was 11 years old, and now in our late 50s early 60s we all still get on together like a house on fire, even though we only see each other once a year now. We catch up every year for Xmas drinks at a given resturant and reminiss about our teenage years, and how the world was our oyster back then, and the things we did...lol ( lucky to be still alive....lol ) The four of us took off at the ripe old age of 13 -14 and worked together in the Gippsland area of Victoria on farms, and then eventually worked our way up through the centre of this big country in S.A on farm stations, mending fences, and the likes..........Places like Port Augusta, Maree, Innamincka, Beltana, Leigh creek, Coober Pedy and the N.T.....Victory Downs,Kulgera, Alice Springs, Ross River and working at what ever we could find to earn a quid. Then back down again to the Barossa Valley in S.A picking grapes for the wineries until we were 18-20 years of age, before heading back home to Melb. After the restuarant they all came back to our place and we lit the Barbie up, and chucked a few snags and onion's on, the opened a nice bottle of Muscat and got stuck into it again. Gawd.......... i wish was a teenager again...........lol.........coz back then i couldnt give a rasberry tart ( fart ).....who was running the country....nor did i care....and most days i couldnt'a tell ya what day it was, let alone what year it was......lol Me mates reminded me about the time we were out near Oxley, some bloody where?.. lost in the bush. Anyway it was in N.S.W somewhere...... and we were hungry. So we caught a rabbit, and it was time to cook it. So we skinned and gutted him, and i stuck a long branch up its kyber and hung him over the fire between two 'Y' shaped sticks ( Boy scout style ,as ya do ).... anyhow, the fire was going out ( cant remember why? )..... probably stoned outa me mind....lol Soooooo..i goes to the car bonnet and syphons a cup full of petrol outa the carby...hee hee .......and goes back to me rabbit and chucks the cup full of petrol on the fire ( to give it some Oooomfff.....but musta got some on the rabbit and blew him ta bits ( KAAABOOM )...............Well he was charcoaled a bit, but we was hungry, and any port in a storm.....lol Boy they were great days.Bought back a lot of good memories. Sorry for the long story, but i still reckon your mates are for life,( Male or Female ) and you dont have to live on each others door step to prove it. Hope everyone had a great day & night. Tony Oz...:>)))

Mini party at my house tonight.................. remember when I was young the night had just begun and we were hapeeeeeee..... a good girlfriend has just moved in close to us and I invited her for an impromptu bbq... OH has the Chet Atkins /Mark Knopfler DVD on but I have snuck away to clear up before he moves on to the Everley Brothers and the Beach Boys. Our respective DD's are away at an end of exam/year party - my DD15 has spent a WEEK making a party game for these kids - lots of cardboard? truth or dare/trivial pursuit/pictionary type things (who did the most writing - good on ya' mum) Very happy to report that end of yr exams were all passed.... we move on to year 10. I got to Xmas play rehearsals today and they will be fine as long as I can locate an old-fashioned full petticoat to protect our modesty on stage........ Somehow I am a bit perturbed about how INTEWESINGLY FUNNY Laurie’s shopping expedition was today - does anyone know ???WHERE she was shopping…. And Why…………………………… Anna – so great you got together with yr old buddies, my mum was a nurse and she made strong friendships, the bonds of shared experiences are strong. Tony sorry about yr tomato’s – mine are LOADED (5 plants only) – but you’ll catch up eventually. I’m thinking to do a second lot in early Dec this year as OH has built a bit of a greenhouse affair as our yard was revamped after the storm last year. We are hand watering now, but heavily mulched and protected……… it’s such a art but I like having even a tiny bit of home produce. OK it seems the singing is finally over and I can let the cat in ( she’s very shy) Plus I have to be at shop at 7………………… ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Hz
