Ooooooh Trifley - how did you know I was reading your message on that OTHER thread lol - did you really expect me to come out of hiding and reply? ,, Amazing what I find out tho! I get the gist that you, Rebs, Flucky and Laurie are being mature aged schoolies at the Gold Coast next weekend (not sure if Anna is going tho), and that you have bought a red hat, but you wanted the wattlers to wear a yellow one .. Can you imagine our Tony in a yellow hat??? Mary, if you came on the bus too - we would really really muck up - we'd be the belles of the bus! .. Dare you to get up before 7.30 with a good morning message! SuzyQ how are you????? Merle - glad your meet went off so well - nothing to worry about after all, was there? I'm off to bed too - I'm sure everyone else has gone. Love Jood |

Well the Morroccan curry was different but not bad. A bit fruity as it had dates and apricots and chickpeas as well as the lanb. It was nice as it was a bit different from the normal malaysian curry OH makes. Some left over for another day of not having to cook. Tomorrow we dont have any power from 7.30 am to 3.30 pm as the light people are doing some work on the substation. I now have to get up early to boil the kettle and fill a thermos of boiling water so I can have my coffee..Might go to the Club for lunch and a bit of retail therapy wont go astray down the Mall. Merle So glad the day went well. That happened to a friend of mine and they all now enjoy a extended family which have got on well. Sleep well tonight now it is all over.. Printhess Lolly Sounds like you had a lovely day with your boys. Thanks for letting us know that the Fluffy Duck is out of jail and now waiting on the internet man.. Gosh she could be waiting till she is 90.They are not known for their fast work. Perhaps she could send up some smoke signals..no thats no good there is probably a fire ban on..I think it will have to be 2 tins and a string.. Glad to see that our Queen is in good shape..She must be because she is thinking about FOOD..good sign..lol Gwenda I think you should see a quack if that rash is still there in the morning. might need more than calomine lotion. Jood and Lew, I dont think they would let you two out on your own in the bus...I think I need to come to supervise..lol Well I better have a early night tonight so that I can get up inthe morning.. Have a nice night all and see ya in the morning..bugger no I wont I wont have any power..No puta till 3.30..bugger..unless I get in before they turn it off..NNAAA I am not much good at getting up early... Nite Nite Love Mary xxxxxxx |

Merle, I know Lake Grace. AND, I DID indeed read all the William books - looooooooved them. .. Could never get interested in the Biggles books tho. .. Liked Enid Blyton tho. I used to read the Girls Crystal religiously every week when I was a bit older. I think I was a bit of a tomboy - tried to be the son Dad never had (my brother died at birth, and 6 years later my sister came along). Hope all the sickies are ok - sorry poor old flucky is without her computer - thank goodness for phones and mobiles though (instead of horse and carts lol). .. I never had the phone on till my oldest daughter was 20, and I was a teenager when Mum & Dad first got their very heavy black phone (no - it wasn't a wall mounted one like an aunty had where you had to go through the exchange !) .. To you young-uns, if we wanted to call interstate, we actually had to book a call!!!! Jood |

10 pound pom all the way from croydon. what foresite. i'm only off to finalise my bed for this evening - after my bath. not going to let a good afternoon's sleep go to waste. big happy (((((((((((((hugs ))))))))))))))))to everyone. see you tommorrow, love Yvette ps sorry overlapped posts Merle, I loved Milly Molly Mandy. I've still got one MMM book. Fave story was when MMM went with her mother ? to the material shop to get some more fabric for a dress. Toby the dog was a a bit rough and jumped up and ripped her dress. Mum finally decides that MMM can have something else than the pink stripe( which is her signature dress fabric). When they get there, Violet is there with her gran. there's only enough of the floral for 1 dress, so guess who gets stuck with the pink stripe again. |

Hi everone thanks for all the kind thoughts. Everything went well and I was so busy holding Mum while she sobbed on my shoulder I forgot to cry myself. Shes a lovely lady, just like her brother who we've been in touch with often and at who's place we met today. They just want us to be part of the family, think Kevin is just the Ants pants. Met granny today too. She's a bit of a tartar I believe but behaved very well today. Kevin is 43 and his mum is 60 and i'm just 70 so only 10 yewars older than Deanne is and she was only 16 when Kevin was born Kevins girls were a bit bemused to see Deanne and I sitting together. Jood I was born in a small country town called Lake Grace. I was a nurse too.And yes the stories can get a bit black at times but they are special Are'nt they. I read milly molly mandy books too and do you remember the William Books? |

Evening Wafflers I had a beaut time with the boys today . . . lots of talking and laughing, there was some food involved - but it was secondary to the company I was in! The Little Fluffy Duck hasn't been online this weekend, because she got arrested and thrown in the clink for having too many feathers ( or not enough in her boar maybe) . . . . teeheee I told her I would make it sound more interesting than just that she has been without her internet thanks to a mix up with Telstra when they were re organising the accounts for her. Actually . . . what could be worse than being without her internet connection . . . ????? Add to that a very sick little mut who has needed its mum to be on standby 24hrs a day and we have one very tired little Ducky who is missing her lifeline! Hopefully she will be back on deck tomorrow . . . If not Telstra better watch out !!!!!! Off to finalise our beds for next weekends shindig . . . and the Gold Coast was worried about the Schoolies . . . teeeheeee luv Laurie |

Hello Wattlers We've had a glorious day on the GC today. Sun shining, birds singing and a gentle breeze. I guess there has to be some compensation for not winning Lotto last night. Merle....hope the meet up with the birth mother went well. Tony.....keep taking the Berroca. Memories of our childhood.......wonderful. Crew....how is Mu? He's lucky he got out of the pool. He can obviously climb better than a hare. Mary....I'm glad it's you not me eating that curry. I'm a bit passed the hot, spicey food. Yvette....sounds as if you had a relaxing day. That's ok....everyone deserves one now & then. Joodles....keep the knee moving and rub Goanna oil into it. Hz.....a few months peace now that exams are over. Big congrats to yopur daughter on passing them. Gwenda....is your rash a contact dermatitis? You might need some cortisone creme from the chemist. Healing hug on it's way to you. I think it might be time for some dinner so I'll love you all and leave you for a while. Hugz Trifley X |

Hi all, Loved the reminiscencing - loved elastics - was our lunch time game in primary school. OH used to go scrumping too - but he'd go fruit picking with his Mum and granny during the day then at night off with his uncle (5 year age gap) to the same place - scrumping was more fun of course. All that fruit picking has made him a fussy fruit eater tho - anything bruised and he won't touch it - lol Lara - hope you have a successful day Mary - what a great age to achieve and see so much - my Dad would have been 102 this year had he lived. Fanny - are you a 10 pound Pom as well? Merle - hope things went well for you today - guess the birth Mum was just as nervous Lew - glad Mu got out of the pool - hopefully won't try that again Been in from work about 5 minutes when my hands started itching like crazy - have little rashes on the palms and wrist that drive me crazy - think it must be a stress thing so hopefully it will disappear in December - meanwhile I'll get some relief with some calomine lotion in a mo Hi to everyone - hope you've all had a good weekend and catch up during the week Gwenda |

Its Saturday and Sunday Fanny, all meals supplied, usually at a club, but I usually go down to my girlfriends place on the Friday - doing a water jerks class along the way, and then we go to their local club for dinner, and raffle, plus pokies, just for a little while - so its a nice long weekend all round. It's actually a dry run practice for Mudgee .. pmsl Lew, if you and I went on that trip down to Kennerton, together, we would kick up a storm lol Jood |

Have to dig out f/h for a relative later. did wash the dogs too, they smell a lot better and are soft and shiny, not as soft and shiny as mu, i bet. not sure whats for tea, the girlfriend has been at work all day and 'is hungry' you could feed her anything and she'd eat it, although i could make an effort. Is that a 1 day or 2 day effort jood? love yvette |

Afternoon all, well I'm just about done in! Have cleaned windows, de-dusted the outdoor area and Lily has had her first wash. No, Mary, she hasn't been fixed. It's only a tiny scratch about 3 inches long. I'll have her repaired at her first service which is in about 300 km. Poor Mu is still sulking in his bed. I'm darned lucky I didn't find him at the bottom of the pool. Don't think I could have coped with that :-( Jood, your upcoming trip sounds fantastic! Wish I was going with you. Only 2 weeks until the Adelaide Test. Looking forward to the cricket and the restaurants, but mostly to catch up with my sister Clare, her hubby Martin (our architect), Belinda (the pregnant niece) and Tim her husband, Bethany, Jared and Caleb. They're a wonderful family and I love them very much. Clare and I are very similar, but she's the bossy one, pmsl, heeee. ~~~to all~~~ Lew Lew xxx |

Morning all, sorry its afternoon isnt it.. Later than I thought. Been out since 915 to church and then some shopping and then when I got home the kids were here with some yummy spicy sausage rolls for morning tea, so you can see I havent had time for much serious thinking..lol Not that I do much of that at best of times.. Lara I hope you have some luck at the genie meet. Merle Good luck with the meet and greet, remember they are more scared than you are. Big HUGS for a happy occasion.. Joodles What a lovely day you have got planned for next weekend. You do go to some nice places and not having to drive is much better still. We have a bus that takes us to different places for lunches or days out but they have mostly finished for the year.At the moment I dont know if John could sit in a bus for to long without becomming uncomfortable. Thats a great club you belong to.. Tony Hows the head.. still seeing double.????Sounds like you had a great time so what the heck... Lew.. Did you say you are cleaning the windows...are you sick or is it visitors comming..lol Has the cat recovered from its dip.. OH is making a moroccan curry for tea tonight,, Sounds interesting. That is one thing he can still do,,cook,,, so I am not complaining... Hope all are well or on the mend,,, Love Mary xxxxxx |

Just one more memory - the Salvation Army band and the girls in their bonnets and timbrels. .. Used to love following them up the street, they would stand in a circle with their trumpets and drums and timbrels. .. No-one minded giving them money when they came to the door. Mary, this is for you - what I'm doing next weekend · Spend the day at Kembla Grange Races. · Visit Kennerton Green Gardens. While Mittagong is still in full bloom – voted as the best garden in Australia by Don Burke. · Enjoy a guided tour of the Don Bradman Museum · Visit the historical town of Berrima. Jood |

Oh pooooooooooor Mu Cat, Lew Lew. ..Obviously cats wasn't on your mind - one fell in the water and the other snuck in and pinched a number! .. Tsk tsk Lew! I had fairy gardens in the bush - and I played hoppy on the road, or skippy - even played marbles too. .. Rode my bike down to the little library .. Miss Pound (complete with bun) - would look for a 'romance' book or two for Mum, and I would rummage around for some Milly-Molly-Mandy books for me. I always wanted to work in a little corner shop, so one day I was allowed to weigh up bags of potatoes and bags of sugar (I probably didn't know any better!) .. You remember the bags of broken biscuits you were allowed to buy? .. And you just sat down in the shop and told the lady what you wanted, or gave her a list. .. Too many choices these days. Oh - my little sister liked playing ticket collector, so I used to save the empty ticket butts from the bus driver, and she'd glue old tickets back in the book. .. That was another job I admired, clipping holes in the tickets !!! .. Of course, you could stand on the step in the bus too (in the days when we had conductors). Come on Jood - back to reality time ! .. pmsl Jood |
