jood, i can spot a butt watcha a mile away, and the firies thing - told ya, all of a sudden you do notice the time of day when they walk down the street. whats the bet you look out the window same time tomorrow just to check, snigger ... and their blood is worth bottling too(most important bit) i haven't thought about christmas shopping either, can't stand the shopping centres. i do the groceries at the local woolies where there are minimal distractions. in and out. fluff, the beach sounds like a good idea. it does the business for me. i watched some of lady juliana but fell asleep - not unusual. now i have to suffer insomnia for a couple of hours. might make an ovaltine and have a bath. nite, love yvette x |

Hi there Wattlers, haven't been on for a while as ultra busy with house decorating, b-i-law from UK staying here and full time work. However this is just to let you know that I haven't forgotten that it's my turn for Wattle Lotto this weekend, so will email numbers across to Tony tomorrow night. Trust you are all well and will pop in now and then to catch up. Lyn |

Evening all Has been hot today. Tried to get to the beach but h***k kept me occupied. Mary lost count of the number of games of patience, taipei, free cell, hearts etc etc........Mel will be home on the 16th Dec, can't wait. Haven't even thought about Chrissy shopping. Me - keep the delinquents in order.....yea sure. Trifles, licquorland had gin on special at the moment. It might do to stock up. Jill, hope Ron is feeling a little better each day. Take care both of you. Suzy, how long do you have to wait for surgery. I went to the quack today with elbow and back probs. Have tendonitis in the elbow and disc degeneration in my back which is spreading. If I was a dog, they would take me out and shoot and put me out of my misery. Hopefully will be a little better with some pills - I wonder if the good Dr Lew has any that will help... Jood, hope you have a great week end, I know we will. Wot, Tony, Didn't you give Barb the plastic - can't run out of muni then. Must go, just going to watch Lady Juliana Luv and hugs to all Pam |

Evening Peeps, and evening to all Butt watchers...:>))) Mary. One of the worst fire's was up through Charlton, at Wooroonook 1500ha..but there were many fires from Ballarat to Ararat, and then the majority out toward theVIC ..S.A border at Dergholm 9800ha. The States are like tinder boxes at the moment, and our country Firemen will be working o/time this year without a doubt. God bless all of them. Barbs gone K-marting & Target shooting with her mum, sister and Sarah for chrissy pressies, so i am home alone till they come back exhausted, or run out of muni......whichever comes first. Il'e have $50 each way on ( Run out of Muni )...:>))) Hope eveyones had a great day, and best wishes to all who are not fightin fit. Will now go raid the pantry and cook up a storm, and then sit back and watch the ABC program. Av a good un. Tony Oz....:>)))) |

The things that go on in my street that I never see .. I was waiting for dd to come back from Sydney - seems she left her car in the visitors spot and ran for the train this morning, so I thought she'd be on the 6.00 train. .. No. .. Was talking to elderly neighbour - 6.30 train, no sign, - 7.00, 7.30 - no sign - but boy - all the firies that walked past. Trucks pulling in out the front - they must all be going back to the depot for a meal and change of shift/rest. One of the back units became available some months ago, no-one had seen anyone living in it. .. One day a firie was walking up from the centre into our place ahead of me - so I guessed he must be renting it. .. Tonight confirmed, he came home, and then later walked out carrying firie's boots. .. They are all shapes and sizes, old and young (I presume). .. I'm proud of them. Despite me saying there was no evidence of fires, <today> it HAS been another busy day for them. Over 12 and a half thousand hectares have now been burnt, but the Blue Mountains comprises over a million hectares. .. There has been spot fires (one deliberately lit) - and back burning. .. I've been told that Sunday is the day they are worried about. Jood <Fanny, I knew you were the butt watcher lol> By the way, I was only looking out for dd so I could see Lucas lol |

Hi all, finally got home, went for a job int. today but the highlight was meeting a bunch of Korean lady tourists on the train. Only 1 spoke english. we were considering catching the bus but I took them on the guided walking tour of Nowra instead. I had 1 1/2 hours to kill. left them at the club with taxi ph. no., bus timetable, train timetable and a map from the tourist info centre. we picked lttle gum branches to wisk away the flies and generally had a fun time trying to understand each other. met them back on the train again. , asked me if I would like to go to sydney with them tomorrow. what a shame i have to work, i would have gone. Hz, i would Kayak with you too, how much fun will you have!. I have 2 sleeps of messages to read, i did catch butts - do a binocy. zoom for me jood. Trifley, if you went to bed a bit earlier, you could seek revenge on the dog and chuck it outside real early. Lovinginess, grins and happiness to all. For everyone suffering, i hope all the aches and pains and aweful bits start to subside soon. yvette x |

Hi wattlers, Just had a message from Donna, I wrote to her this morning, here it is. Sorry I haven't been in touch but the pain in my shoulder is sometimes unbearable and I find it difficult to type and move the mouse about so not been on much. Had 2 weeks off work but that didn't help, I have bursitis so my doc is sending me to a specialist in December - let's hope he can do something other than painkillers. Yeah 3 weeks tomorrow and Carley will be here, we are getting ready - Daz has started to decorate and he has done the gardens but he is down in Sydney now till next Thursday on business so I am left to my own devices - struggling along. I am very busy just got Neville's grand parents marriage cert, so I am trawling my way through Ancestry. Catch up later Luv SuzyQ |

Thanks Jood for the map, put my mind at ease last night and today is so much cooler here and the wind has dropped, those firies get my vote too they are wonderful. (healing hugs) to SuzyQ and Ron. I am finding out tonight whether I and another Mum have to be chaperones for the Duke of Ed kayak down the river on the weekend - only 10 kids and a male teacher, we have volunteered to go if no-one else can ! Both of us are a bit tentative - my DD says 'go mum' and hers says 'aw mum, we're supposed to do this stuff without our parents' lol. But they have to have an adult girl along. With my mozzie patch and sunblock I'll cope if need be! I think we're just going downstream from Noriel Park towards Howlong, there's probably a friendly farmer's field to camp in. If I get as far as you, Lara, I'll wave, lol ~~~~~~~~~~~ to all, Hz |

Anna, woke to a nearly blue sky with just a bit of grey on the horizon (smoke) - according to my RFS source, the fires are further away near the Putty area. .. Bit of a weather change apparently, but they are burning off still, in some areas while they can. .. Winds are light thank goodness, and its reasonable inside with just the fan going. DD changed her mind about going to Sydney for the 3 days, and is just going into the city for an appt today. .. She has to go back to school (teaching, after her maternity leave) next month for the few weeks till breakup. .. I don't think she would be looking forward to that very much. Getting a tad hungry - after all its 1:50, I must have a bite to eat before I faint .. hahaha (then I will need a nanny nap, and then I pack for the weekend.) Cheers Jood |

Hi all Whatcha doin' hangin' around the Wattle thread Mc Nickerless? And tryin' to make out you don't know about the numbers.......!! Methinks you'll be tucked up in bed before the next 100 comes up so we're safe. Jilly - so sorry to hear that Ron is not going so well - healing hugs to him and supportive ones to you. I hope you can make it on Saturday but obviously it depends on how Ron is. Trifley - you've not commented on getting up to see the sun rise - that's why we need the alarm clock Lara - to get the Queen up and about early. After we've drenched her in coffee. SuzyQ - how long do you think it will be before you get your hands fixed? And you're right about the rack - it feels as if you're losing your daks! Jood - hope the fires are settling - I haven't been to the NSW bushfire site today but I was checking it yesterday. Catch you all later Luv Anna |
