Evening All Lara love the name and funny thing I was debating about using the title of your little song as a xmas song. I have been listening to a cd with that on over the last couple of days. It is an Adam Brand christmas cd, I bought it last year and that song is one of the songs that Adam sings and the one I put on here earlier is a song also on the same cd sung by the Sunny Cowgirls, I went to see Adam Brand earlier this year and got him to sign the cd. David recons he has already bought me my xmas pressie as he has just forked out for 3 of us to go and see Adam when he comes over here again in Feb. I dont mind as he is a real cutie, Adam that is hee hee, AND he races a FORD lol. Jude2 you gotta cheer the FORDS home at Phillip Island as Lowndes is only 7 points behind. Trifley how did the light up go, I turned mine on for a couple of minutes to show the girls, Tamika said it looks better than she thought it would. What is the prize if you win???? A lovely holiday or something??? Cheers Sue

My mum used to sing this to us when we were little and just found the words to it makes me think of my lovely mum Nuttin' For Christmas I broke my bat on Johnny's head; Somebody snitched on me. I hid a frog in sister's bed; Somebody snitched on me. I spilled some ink on Mommy's rug; I made Tommy eat a bug; Bought some gum with a penny slug; Somebody snitched on me. Oh, I'm gettin' nuttin' for Christmas Mommy and Daddy are mad. I'm getting nuttin' for Christmas 'Cause I ain't been nuttin' but bad. I put a tack on teacher's chair Somebody snitched on me. I tied a knot in Susie's hair Somebody snitched on me. I did a dance on Mommy's plants Climbed a tree and tore my pants Filled the sugar bowl with ants Somebody snitched on me. So, I'm gettin' nuttin' for Christmas Mommy and Daddy are mad. I'm gettin' nuttin' for Christmas 'Cause I ain't been nuttin' but bad. I won't be seeing Santa Claus; Somebody snitched on me. He won't come visit me because Somebody snitched on me. Next year I'll be going straight; Next year I'll be good, just wait I'd start now, but it's too late; Somebody snitched on me. So you better be good whatever you do 'Cause if you're bad, I'm warning you, You'll get nuttin' for Christmas.

Well.....the mad scramble with the lights is just about finished. Both boys have been working outside since about 8am and they are exhausted. I'm sure it's going to be worth all the trouble. They have even found time to set up my chrissy present, too. Are'nt they wonderful? Mark is going to take some pickles so if they turn out ok I'll send some on to you all so you can see what all the fuss was about :) I'm off now to start preparations for the food. See ya later. Hugz Trifley X

Afternoon all :) I agree Jood. Family seems to be more important the older we get. I guess we are too busy conquering the world when we are younger to appreciate what we have at home!! I am still working on my Chrissy name. I keep on vascillating. At the moment I'm thinking of Christmas Eve-on from Oz but I'm not sure. Will decide on Dec 1st. :) ~~~~~~~~~~~ Vonny

What clever lickle Wattlers we are to come up with some original names. .. Luv yours Fan ciful Festivus Was trying to think of one for Lara, and came up with Lara Bells, Lara Bells (Silver Bells) - I'm sure Rudee can think of some more words for the song for her :) Temp has dropped a little, winds getting wilder - still can't smell smoke tho. .. Fingers crossed it's ok out Mudgee way. My sis from Perth just sent me an email to tell me my Uncle's 2nd wife had just passed away at the age of 99½ - not bad eh? .. I hadn't seen her for a few years, but I rang up my only cousin from that branch (haven't spoken to him since I saw him at Dad's funeral in 1996, and prior to that, hadn't seen him since we were kids - his own mother died when he was just 2, and his brother died in South Africa in 1976 aged 35 in a road accident. .. We had lost touch. .. He said she had a peaceful ending - had hoped to get a telegram from the Queen (which would have been May next year). .. I just wanted to ring him, since obviously I can't get to the funeral next Friday. .. Families are so important, and more particularly when you are older (I think, anyway) Jood

Hi Wattlers, Well, I've HAD to put my thinking cap on and get Xmassy now, surrounded by all this glitter, tinsel and song! You're all so clever!! I've even got my name sorted! The GC weekend sounded much fun, and Tas your list of Xmas food is tooooo much! lol. DD15 and pals paddled 60km down the Murray on the weekend and had a great time. She was pretty tired last night! Crewella and Sue, hope your day is improving, a little bit of breeze to move that smoke would make a lot of difference. We were 33 yesterday and will maybe beat that today, no wind, clear sky. It's the hot wind that is so deadly, I hate it. Cor Flakey, your dau's get around don't they - I could go a spa in Iceland anytime, it sounds wonderful! And I even googled the Clark Rubber Cattledog, they are going to think they're popular with the number of internet hits they're getting, and all we are doing is checking out your daughter lol! She looks very relaxed. My challenge this week is to get the NZ Xmas parcel done and posted, usually just fun bits and bobs, plus fresh licorice from Darrell Lea ! I have just managed to get a hair appt for this afternoon, so can't linger ~~~~~~~~~~ to All, Heather
