Hi everyone.. Got invaded by the family this morning,,Daughter and family from ACT and son and family from 15minutes away..We all had morning tea together and then the twins from the ACT mob had to go rowing in the NSW rowing championships being held at the Olympic rowing center..they are very keen rowers.. Hi Derek My family names in Hamilton and Motherwell are McCall and Barrett mainly,, When in Hamilton last just after the war I used to barrack for THE HAMILTON ACCIES,,(spelling) I think they are still around,, The McCall family came from Cambuslang and Dalziel..Still a lot of family for me to find there,,do it in short bursts as ScotlandsPeople gets a bit pricey..Are you not well at the moment,, if so get well soon... Heather.. Quang Tart is in the Daily Telegraph as a lift out,, is it in the Australian also..It looks like the ones that were in the Victorian papers last year..Hope it doesnt rain to early for OH to get on roof to fix the leak,,,lol Tassie See the Swans won yesterday.. Is this a early little contest,, The real thing hasent started yet has it..I found it hard to sleep last night so got up and had a look in around 2am to 3am,, should have seen if anyone was there Merle might have fallen out of bed again and would be awake to talk to me, but I had to get up early this morning to go and buy the morning tea so had no time to get on here..Everyone has left now so I can relax.. Jood What is planned for the weekend,, Let us in on the programme..did you have a nice night last night at the pub, and did you find Lews place without having to walk the streets of Mudgee,,lol Feeling a bit tired so will return later,, Love Mary xxxxx |

Good morning (just) All, It's been showery here this morning. Dreekie, up until the 1880s the family came from Long Load in Somerset after that my Ggrandfather moved to London. I was born in Watford but grew up in Southern Scotland which accounts for the scots accent if you hadn't noticed it. I still follow football - I'm a Queen of the South fan (yes there are one or two of us about). Here in Oz I support the West Coast Eagles. Commiserations HZ but I'm sure the wheel will turn and Essendon will rise again. Must go now I'm off out to bowls. Ian |

LOL Dreekster, theory goes something like this : no raineee no leakeee no worreeeee, when rainy, little leakeee, might fixeeee, stop raining, no leakeeee no need to fixeeeeeee lol ! Nah, that's a bit mean, but lack of rain has made the hole in the roof non consequential. Might get done now though. Not a sporting person so can’t comment on cricket ( saw curling in Motherwell – though it was an hilarious sport!), follow Aussie Rules but my team Essendon is in the doldrums at the moment. Helloooo, g’morning, Dreekie and Sue, yep I’m a little slow today as Saturday is my sleep in day, but I have been to the gym, done my supermarket shopping, changed the kitty litter and swept the laundry, spot cleaned some windows in the lounge, got DD15 up and motivated to do her Saturday morning chores, both eaten breakfast and in a minute have to leave to take her to her 11 to 1pm job (paying job –she buys her own phone money now yippee). Big storm last night made our roof leak AGAIN, when OH went to work he left me two towels in the middle of the kitchen and a note saying “yes, I will go up into the roof this afternoon for a look”, trouble being each time it is “fixed” we have to wait till the next rainstorm to discover that it isn’t fixed !! Ongoing saga of two years now lol. Weather is brilliant today but as it warms up the humidity will make it uncomfortable. Better go be a taxi now ~~~~~~~~~~~ Hz |
