Just thought id'e ask....:>)) Does anyone still make their own Xmas Plum Pudding? My brother -in -law ( and best mate..god bless him ) used to make ours every year. He used to put the threepenny bits in it, which always reminded me of me mums Plum Pud when we were kids. Barb....not being a cook, and not really interested in cooking has never made one, so now we buy ours from Safeway's. So i just wondered if people still made their own, or prefer to buy it. And do you prefer Custard or cream? I'm both......lol Rudes...:>))

JA - I'm not sure we actually settled on the Hellenic Club - it was just another place thrown in - to confuse us. Mary suggested the Southern Cross, Vonny's a member of Tradies and I'm a member at the Hellenic. I haven't been to Tradies and thought if we could have the buffet that might be the way to go - gives us a choice to nibble on - so guess we'd better make a choice pretty quick and then a reservation Mary & Vonny - decision time For those with rain or had rain - lucky you - if you get too much please send it inland Jood - did you send piccles? I didny get any Laurie - was TLR thinking of a career move after the wine mishap - lol Hope you didn't know your way around Bunnings too well - ppppppppppp Lara - how exciting - piccies always make it 100x better than a cert cos then they are really 'real' aren't they. hi to Jan - pop in anytime - the more the merrier Naughty cat - number nicking again I see Must be time to think of food so I'll be off to the kitchen to rustle up something Gwenda

ITS RAINING

SuzyQ

SuzyQ Report 3 Dec 2006 05:24

Good afternoon Wattlers, Well it has now clouded over and it looks like rain, fingers crossed. Last night there was a very strange bright light shing over the hills behind us. It appeared to be coming from the Gold Coast area. Every one was out looking in amazment. Never had such a light been seen before. There was lots of speculation about mother crafts, UFO's have been sited in Canungra, there are web pages devoted to it, so it must be true. The three wise men set off, and the shepherds left there flocks. Then I took a look at my enmails and Lo and Behold, that bright shining light was no other that the Queens castle. Well done Graeme and Mark, a more magnificent sight has never been seen west of the gold Coast. When do we get other pickles of lights? please Of course, I then was bowled over by the bling wearing Vonny and her OH. What a handsome couple. Hope you had a good time Then to top it off two pretty little girls with big vegies, and was that a box of christmas trimmings. What about a photo of the tree. Maybe we could have a chrismas tree compitition. All send in your photos and the winning will get a certificate. But wait until later because I don't put mine up until Christmas Eve. Guess what, the wind has come and is blowing the clouds away. Maybe a rain dance is required. Tonight and 10pm in Qld, 9pm elsewhere, all strip off and dance away. That must work, just to get us all to put our clothes back on. Tony, do you put your tree on many sites? I only have it on Ancestry and GR. Where do you recommend. I have just received some photos of my Gt Grand Uncles grave, I can't believe how excited I got. Like you say Tony, certificates are great but photos even better. Not better than winning lotto though. If we won lotto I could go and take the photos myself. Merle, look after that leg, I don't have any more advice, but please take note of all the others. Loz, I hope it wasn't the best wine, but I did have a little chuckle. Well I think it is time I took my leave, Keep smiling Luv SuzyQ

Afternoon Wattlers Hey Rudee can I just pm you my snail mail address as I dont have a credit card, that way you can just forward my share through the mail haaa haaa I wont hold my breath though :-)))))))))) Jood thanks for the pic of Vonny, they do both look smashing, very sophisticated. Well my son has finally decided what he is going to do. He had originally got a plane ticket to go to Melbourne on 19th Dec so he could spend Christmas and his 18th birthday with his Dad and still come back if he decided to without loosing any money from his youth allowance. well he has no decided that he cant wait to get to Dad and has changed his ticket for this coming Tuesday, so that means he has to stay over there or possibly loose some money from Centrelink. I think he will stay over there, hasnt said as much but being a Mum that is what I am picking up, I think he doesnt want to upset me, but if it is what he wants I am fine with it. Cheers Sue

Rudee - thanks for that, but I knew that trick from years ago. .. What I meant is that some of the letters in the fonts were jammed together, but looks like it righted itself now. .. You know what putas are like, they like to test you now and again :( Jood

TonyOz Report 3 Dec 2006 03:58

Here's a little novelty if you have trouble reading the font size on GR. If you have a roller on your mouse, try holding down the 'Ctrl button' on your puter, and at the same time scroll the roller ( on your Mouse ) one 'click' towards you.......The fonts should be bigger. Two click's bigger again.......... If you want to resume back to normall font size then reverse the action. Rudee Oz...:>))

~~~~~~ good afternoon all, Merle, Try googling medihoney. I hope the antibiotics fix you up but if you need something else, I saw a program on this using the NZ version, Manuka honey, but we also have an Aussie version based on tea-tree honey. It seemed to work in a lot of cases, especially if the wound was open from the infection. Ooooo Jood - I just love a good male voice singing How great thou Art. Get goosebumps just thinking about it. Sorry Tassie - don't know what happened, I'll send you a pickle. How are your lights? Going to check the threads, Vonny
Says Jood *Doing too many things at once and making a mess of the lot of them* .. (Tassy will know what I'm talking about) Hey Lyn, without being rude, I think 'Ham Bag' is a good name (like Humbug) I'm listening to music today as I work - and boy has it 'lifted' me!!! .. I played the 'Ten Tenors' who produced a free xmas cd with our local Sunday paper, and it put me in the mood for listening to more. .. At the moment, its 'How great thou Art' - well ... geez .... it IS Sunday after all !!!! lol Off to do some more work. Thanks Rudee - I get what you mean. .. I ran into trouble tho, might have to start again as I messed up (see above) - but I'll get there. Jood
