Thanks for the lunch pickles. Looks like a good time was had by all. No need to cook tea tonight i am guessing. LOL Was surprised to receive tham so quickly and thought maybe you had all been thrown out. Wondered what you had been up to. Then I remembered the time difference. Silly me. Commiseration to Mark on the lights. But it was a great effort and I think they look great. Tasteful Wattler illuminations, bet the others were a bit over the top. I off See you later Luv SuzyQ |

Yes we did have a lovely de-chorus lunch - and we all remarked on the mussels :) Actually I was very surprised with the cost as it was only $12.30 so I think that is why the prawns were a disapointment - John wasn't impressed with them either. We will take you all next year - maybe for dinner as you get a bigger selection of seafood. :) Lovely to meet Sarah and Rachel and their dad Jim - we tried to talk Jim into coming on the thread LOL I do have to report though (being strictly truthful) that we have to watch out for the gorgeous Sarah and Rachel - not all the Asian boys were lining up for food!!!!! And there was at least one note passed (Oooooooo) Great to meet JA finally and catch up again with the others. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Vonny |

Afternoon all, Had a funtastic lunch - can recommend the Tradies buffet - so can half the Asian population - lol. I was standing in line for the Asian food and seemed to be the only Anglo and the only female at the time - pmsl. Sandra - ya would've loved the mussels. could see you swiping the whole tray for yaself - prawns were a disappointment tho - nothing like the Casino - oh well there was plenty to choose from and no-one went hungry Cuz Sarah was there with sister Rachel and Dad Bill - now they know what a nice bunch of peeps we are I'm sure Bill will feel a lot more relaxed about letting his youngsters mix with us - or not Given Sarah all the tips we have on chatting on here and digging up info so she should be well on her way with tracing all the rellies. Tony - no wonder that baby didn't want to come - what a whopper - got a good head of hair - just as well Barcode Barb is a hairdresser - ppppppppppp Vonny - thanks for the lolly bag - Love the 'It take's All Sorts to be Wattlers' -very clever Piccles coming from Mary & Vonny - guess who forgot the camera again - enough to remember to take change of clothes to work and work like mad in 3 hours Trifley - thank you for the lovely Chrissie card - just once I want a white Christmas. Bad luck Mark didn't win but a fine effort nonetheless and he & Graeme should be very proud. Tassie - you have a wonderful party too To everyone sitting in the gutter - enjoy - not far to fall if you have one tooooo many either Hope the smoke clears in Vic soon and may the firies get a break in the weather. Must be time we all did a rain dance ~~~~~~~~to everyone else Gwenda with sticky fingers from a candy cane |

Hi everyone, first things first. Congrats to proud parents and grandies on little Jack's arrival. No wonder he took his time. Do hope all goes well for you all. Triff, glad you are feeling better, Was that you with the tiara on? Great pickles by the way .Thanks. It would be nice to have some names to relevant faces please. Have opened a new folder just for Wattlers pics. Himself and I stopped off on the way home from the surgery yesterday and bought a new combination print/copy/scan so when I master it I'll be able to send some from here. Loved the photo of the bottle girls, am going to see if I can get it here for chrissie day Princess Laurie, was that a threat or a promise for Feb. Either way I'll take you up on that. You all must have had a great day on the balcoonie. Having the 'sneaky' ones turn up would have been a lovely surprise While confined to my bed, I told himself that I should have written my name in French and when he asked why, said I'd get more letters that way. Daughter not at all impressed! Ah well. |

Greetings fellow Wafflers I hope Victoria has cooler than expected weather and the firies are blessed with some rain and gentle winds. Also a rain dance done to send some water to Anna and Chris' tank. More Wattle meets today......Honey Rum certainly started something, didn't she? To the Canberra lot.....enjoy your lunch and remember....lots of pickles and simnging! The Gutter meet....I'd love to go to that one.....never been to a party in a gutter before pmsl. Have a fantastic time and don't forget the pickles too! Mark didn't win anything in the 'Light up' competition. The person who won it for 'First time entrant' had lots of moving things AND SNOW! How could you beat that????? The young prince is disappointed but I think he and his father did a good job and I love it. Jade is taking me to do some grocery shopping so I'll catch you lot later. Good Afternoon Wattlers and my thoughts are with the Victorians over this weekend. May the weather be kinder to them than anticipated. Tony and Barbcode. Congratulations on the arrival, finally, of Master Jack. What a beautiful, big, bouncing boy he is, too. Q, the factory is working overtime and I'm producing as many pills as I can. That Claude hasn't been of much assistance, so I might just send him back to the Queen and ask for a replacement, heeee. The Balcoonie party looked like it was funtastic. I'm sure the Canberra and Gutter meets will be just as brilliant. Feeling a bit drained today, all that driving probably didn't help. Having friends over for dinner tonight, so we're obviously gluttons for punishment, lol. Thanks all for your welcome home wishes. I must admit I was having withdrawals, but Printheth Loz did a good job with her text messages. ~~~Waves to All~~~ HRH Dr Lew Lew xxx |

Good Morning Wattlers And congratulations to Tony and Barb and the proud parents of Jack. He is very cute, and Jack is a wonderful manly name. I love it. It looks like a good time was had by the balcoonie girls. Thanks for the pickles, any more. I knew about Pam being there but Lara you kept that secret. Hope the meets go well today, but I am sure they will. I know the Canberrra meet will be held with decorum, and there isn't likely to be any arrests, but I'm a bit worried about the 'guttersnipes' at Shazz's place. LOL. Anna, hope the rains come this weekend as promised, just to christen your tank and fill mine to the brim. I also hope that it teems down in Victoria. Lew, hope you have got the manufaturing plant going, looks like we will be needing some pills soon with all the Christmas parties around. Trifley, glad you are feeling a little better, nearly there now. Hands not too good today, so I will need to keep it short. Hope everyone is well. I will look in later Luv SuzyQ |

Good Morning Congratulations to Sir Tony and Lady Barb Barcode on the new arrival - good name Jack (but could I have piccy too - please of the new bub), ta for the lotto winning numbers. How many VB's did it take to wet the babes head - or is it a weekend/week/month long celebration? pmsl Whew so good to have the Queen Trifley back - we dont like it when our Queen is M.I.A. - your lowly subjects misses ya. Merle thank goodness your are back on your feet - just make sure you take good care of yourself. So nice to have home Dr Lew Lew and Terry safe and sound. Loved the piccy ,wish I had thought of that with our eldest would have saved me a lot of grief. As it was we used to tie him to the clothes line with a 30ft rope - he was a descendant of Houdini I'm sure, he would have graduated from escapology school with a resounding 100%,- pmsl Not a good day in Melbourne in the outer east where our workshop is, visibility is down to less than 1/2 km. We have to have the roller door open and so the workshop is filling up with smoke, very hard to breathe and the eyes are really itching. Be so glad when its 12.00 and we can go home. God bless and keep safe to all our brave firies, ses and cfa. They are doing a wonderful job. Its starting to warm up and the wind is coming up. Very eerie feeling in the air HZ will know exactly what its like. I rang Kens aunty in Alexandra (her partner is in the CFA) and they are clear of smoke up there and had a beautiful day yesterday, Alexandra is about 65 kms from Mansfield and the Jamieson /woods point fire is heading towards gippsland so at this stage no imminent danger. Jon and 9 of his uni friends are staying at the cottage this weekend - an end of uni party. His girlfriend has gone as well - so we will finally get to meet her tomorrow - Jood and Wilson she is a bendigo girl! We have finally finished relaying the last rooms floorboards ( falalala-lalalala) just have to get them sanded ready to lime wash and seal. Will have updated photos next week if anyone interested. Thank you for all the piccies of the balcoonie bash lots of smiling and laughing - its a wattlers trademark! Hope all the canberra lot have a fabulous day to day, Piccles please. To the gutter party (gosh that sounds terrible) you mad lot have a wonderful time too - also piccies tooo please. Have a wonderful weekend whatever you are up to. We are off to our favourite thai restaurant tonight with some friends - yummeee! Catch up with everone next week ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ mwah xxxx Jude-diy |

Morning peeps. Melbourne suburbs are chockers with smoke and haze, and not a good day to venture outside if you have respritory problems. Two of Barb ladies have cancelled appointments at the salon because of breathing problems. Thanks for your good wishes for new grandie. I did know the sex of the baby beforehand, and i think a few Wattlers also knew, but doctors have been wrong before. Trying to get used to the name, Jack. Its an old fashioned name i guess, and i had an uncle Jack ( my dads brother ) but seems a lot of the kids nowdays are reverting back to the older names. He's a little ripper though..hee hee.( Jack the ripper...lol ) Mum looks knackered ( as ya do ) but gave me that proud look as we walked into the birthing room to give her a cuddle. Little Jack was having a drink, and dad was on the mobile phone telling the world about his new son. Got me cuddle in quick before granny Barb took control and fussed all over him. He weighed in at ( old scale ) 9lb14oz so a good size bubs with loads of dark black hair and had a real bronzed ozzie look about him. The hospitals are so different these days, and both daughter and hubbie have there own room with double bed where hubbie stays for the duration, complete with meals, and bubs in the crib along side them. At least this way when the baby cries for some tucker during the night, daughter can nudge hubbie to get bubs for her, and save her getting out of bed. When we arrived 3 hrs later after the birth, bubs still hadnt been washed or weighed, so quite a different set up from what i remember. Wishing everyone a great day, and all those that are meeting up have a good time. Av a good un. Rudes...:>))) |

Wonderful news Tony and Barb, congratulations to your daughter on a fine job well done, Jack will bring you such joy. Another lad to go fishing with mate! Well this morning I had to get up half an hour ago because the smell of smoke is so strong, can't see across the valley. I'm going to make a coffee and turn on Xmas lights. Trouble is, it will be too smokey for Elvis to go up and fight the fires. Yuk Yuk Yuk. We are in no danger here at all btw, it's just so foul to see the smoke. No wind though. And it hasn't been as hot as they have predicted, I suppose because we're under the smoke layer. Catch you later in the day perhaps - we have final Fruit Flies (circus) performance today, and the break-up party for the Childrens Theatre ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ to all, Heather in Albury |

Ohhh Tony, little Jack is gorgeous, thanks for the pickles. . . enjoy the snuggles. Love his curls. Leah it was so lovely to see you again, do keep in touch - dont be a stranger. I am so grateful to you for the organising you did last year for our first Wattlers meet. Wow Anna. . . can't beleive your tank is finally connected. . . . ruddy plumber sure has been dragging the chain on you hasn't he . . . Ah well . . . now for the much needed rain! I assure you the TLR's car did konk out on me at the cemetery . . . I had to call the NRMA to get it started and then it had to have a new battery before we could go out sightseeing tonight. I hadn't thought that there may have been another Wattlers family there asking to be found!!!! The car konked out right after I had found my gtgtgrans grave (Joodles gtgran) . . . I have been there three times before looking for her . . . today she decided to be found!!! Yipppeee !!! I think she might played with the car so I would spend more time with her. Then we found a plot of Lara's family with 5 members of her family all buried together in about, the 1880's. So we were happy little vegemites! Missed lunch so had the tummy chorus all the way home . . . couldn't stop in case the car wouldn't start again! Tonight we went for a drive around Botany Bay - over to La Peruse along the southern beaches, then to the Jakarta restraunt for a lovely spicky dinner, then TLR took us on a city night light tour, showed the girls the harbour, the city and the cross by night. The two teenagers in my spare room have finally settled for the night and the giggling has stopped so I hope they have finally gone to sleep. PMSLing That darn Lara should be renamed 'click click' hell bent on getting that pickle to blackmail one of us with, so she is. Anyway I had best get myself to bed or I will the the sleepy head in the morning. Nigh nite - sleep well - sweet dreams luv Laurie |

Hi Wattlers Many thanks Laurie for the lovely time on the balcoonie yesterday and it was great to meet everybody again and get to meet Lyn, Yvette and Pam and also speaking to Trifley for the first time. Thank you. Shazz, the train came just as I got to the platform, thank you Lyn for getting me there. Slept for most of the time home although was woken at Moss Vale to go to the front two coaches as they were separated. Congrats to Grandpa Tony and Grandma Barb. Enjoy your special one. Been a busy day today, made a Christmas lunch for over 70 people. We now have a break for a couple of months. Have a lovely meet tomorrow at Canberra, I was going to try and get to the meet but hubby has arranged to get some electrical work done and the only day available was tomorrow. Leah |
