Good Morning to all my wattle friends. have been up early and done H*******k, have made bases for 2 trifle's will put the rest on later when set, 1 is going to my son's tomorrow,we are having our Chrissie thing with them Sunday as he will going to in-laws CD. The 2nd one stays here for Christmas Day when younger daughter comes for lunch I am doing a traditional hot one so hope it's not to hot but then we have the aircon so won't matter. Older daughter has gone away for christmas. we are looking after the pet lorikeet as we always do when they are away. Morning All Well as Im not real good with words and those on here that are better at that than me have said all that we are thinking, Im sure we all feel the same and its been said many times what a great friendship we have formed with one another, with not a harse word said to any of us. Im so glad we found each other, and if its at all possible I would love to meet some more Wattlers in 2007, maybe when 'Honey Rum' comes over if I know well enough in advance. Oh hang on we might win lotto next weekend with the big one, then I wont have to worry about the costs :-)))))))))) SuzyQ that fire that was just up the road the day before yesterday when we was talking on messenger, although it was not threat to us. There was about a dozen houses that were very lucky as the fire had come up through the bush behind their houses to their back yard then it literally jumped the houses and the road at the front of their house to the paddocks on the other side of the road. Thier houses were on the other side of the hill than the bush and as the fire reached the brow of the hill the flames or embers mised the houses and started again in the paddocks. We went looking at Chrissy lights last night and ther are some good ones out there, some were not turned on as it was raining last night, had been for most of yesterday too and has done good for the fires over here. Had a bit of a down day yesterday also as a close friend of family died, his funeral is today. His children and myself, along wih a couple of other familys all grew up togther, living either next to or just over the road, there was 5 houses with 13 children in them and if we was not at one place playing in the yard, under the house, or in the cubhouses that the parents had built, at one place or the other we would be having a drink of cordial and bickies, and of course at Chrissy time us kids would all get together and put on a chrissy play for the parents. 3 of the 5 houses the parents still live there, my parents and the ones that just lost their Dad, their Mum still is there is 2 of the 3. Anyway the house is starting to wake up now, OH has just made it out of bed and I guess the girls wont be far behind, mind you I've been up and dont 2 loads of washing, strange although everyone else is on holidays the housework is still there to be done :-(((( Cheers Sue

I could easily live back here, but, I'm not ready for that yet. .. It's sooo much quieter, and the parks and houses around here are beautiful. .. A lovely lake full of different types of birds, lovely green shady trees - soo nice. .. We are fairly close to the city, not that there is any reason to go there, as there are lots of big shopping centres around. Merle & himself, I've been watching the temps, and it's been a bit cool down your way. .. I wish you both good health for 2007. Morning all ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Have munched your share of the apricots Ducky - with almost dire consequences I might add! - got to go slow today. It's not only the parrots, the magpies are getting them too!! I remember driving to Sydney for the meet with Anne last year. I had almost arrived when I had this panic attack - 'just what did I think I was doing, driving to Sydney to meet some people I had never met and had no knowledge of!' (the Wattle thread hadn't been formed then) It was very out of character for me to do such a mad thing! The fact that I was desperate to talk to someone about family history must have been what pushed me over the edge! When I got back home I was bubbling over with all that had happened and who I had met and John said, 'which side of your family were they related to?' He thought I'd been to a family reunion!!!!! He didn't know how prophetic his words were :) So Christmas blessings to my 'other' family and may your New Year contain much joy. Love, Vonny

Evening all you great peeps Had probs today - no puta. Went to puta doctor....Sorry Dr Lew dinny think you could help. Was desperate as I dinny need to be without puta over Chrissy. Hours later............. Guess what, I'm back !!!!!! Have been having trubs signing on with my puta the last few weeks. This morning, it wouldn't sign on at all. Turns out the electrics in my puta were stu**ed. Had to get a new unit. So I am now here to harrass you all.............so suffer !!!!!!! I just want to wish each and everyone of you all, a really Happy and Holy Christmas. What you guys have done for me over the past 7 months is just unbelievable. I am normally very reserved. - Yea, okay, crack up some of you.. When I first looked at the site, I thought OMG who are these nutters. Decided to delete from program. Then with Lara's help and insistenance I looked in once again (well twice) and went back a few pages.......there began the start of a Friendship, a really wonderful FRIENDSHIP...... Reading poems etc, notes from all of you, made me want to become part of the WATTLE FAMILY...........Brisvegas was just the start of it........ Just recently, my life has turned upside down. I really don't know how I would have got through it without you wonderful guys. So many messages of luv and support - just unbelieveable. Had my Family supporting me, but Friends are something really special who have a different insight. Not going to start the tears as I have already done that today.To each and everyone one of you wonderful Friends, I say enjoy the festive season but more importantly enjoy the ones you love.
