Blonde Christmas Story There were two blondes who went deep into the frozen woods searching for a Christmas tree. After hours of subzero temperatures and a few close calls with hungry wolves, one blonde turned to the other and said, 'I'm chopping down the next tree I see. I don't care whether it's decorated or not!' Don't know who is more blonde - the one in the joke or LewLew with her blowup Chrissie tree - will admit that is original tho and doesn't need watering, won't drop pine needles and so easy to pack away - lol Hi & welcome to Debbie & Dierdre. I live in Canberra where it is overcast but has forgotten how to rain properly. One more day of last minute shoppers before I get 2 days off - can't wait but guess I won't get to sleep in anyway. Got a great bargain today - Advent Calendars with choccies for 50 cents - best before July 2008 - pity they won't last until next Christmas or could they???hhhhmmmmmmmm Thank you to all who have sent cards and all the wonderful messages - we have been truly blessed with the friendships we have made on this thread over the last year and I thank each and every one of you. In case I don't get back on here except for my last couple of instalments of the Christmas Countdown I wish each and every one a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and properous 2007. ~~~~~~~~~and ((((((hugs))))) to everyone Gwenda

Back again . . . TLR is having a Poppy nap . . and I have solved the problem of the frozen keyboard. I am cooking a roast for dinner tonight - then taking the lot down over the creek to have dinner with friends Chris and Sue. Chris has cronic back problems and is going thru a rough patch at the moment so best for him to be close to his bed and his comfy chair instead of struggling with ours. He has to be fit and well enough for them to enjoy their holiday in Tassie next week so have to take care of him. Tomorrow we will head up to Bribie and have lunch with our Paul and the Ducky . . . looking forward to that - and to meeting Mel. TLR let me have an early chrissy pressie this morning . . given to him to bring home while he was in Jakarta by Ohmar Sonia (Mother of Marg who was visiting me last week) - It is two strings of the most beautiful chrissy lights - they clip together to make one long string, and they are beautifully coloured dragonflys! Just beautiful! and now hanging around the living room. I was hopeing to get my big light trees before Chrissy - but they are a few containers away yet. TLR has decided against getting a chrissy tree from the bush this year, and has dragged out the tacky plastic one left here by an ex-girlfriend of one of the boys a few years ago! (knew I should have dumped it) It is ghaustly . . . all those fibre optic thingys . . . Ah well its Christmas time . . !!! Oh OH OH . . . Happy Feet . . . It's a wonderful movie if you get a chance to see it. Watched it this morning, TLR brought me home the dvd. Got heaps of good movies, Devil wears Prada, Little Miss Sunshine, The Break-Up, The new Casino Royale . . to name a few . . got some golfy thing for you too Lara (well Tiger anyway). Back to the veges . . ((hugs)) to all . . . hope your all well and ready to enjoy Christmas . . . luv Laurie xxx

Its me from over the sea or at least from tother side of oz. Hi debs. welcome i come from Albany. THE LEFT RIGHT OUT ONE I'm pretty quiet and don't say much. Watch that angel cat,she slinks in and out when you least expect her. Just remind her once in a while that Alley cat starts with an A too. Pulleeeze dont touch Dr lews purple pills. they're deadly. I speak from experience. The others are nice tho,the rainbows are terrific. AND watch how you address that Queenie. I made a mistake the very first day I was on the thread and she wanted my head! Darling Printheth Laurie led the deputation to ask for clemency and I was given a reprieve. Quite gave me the flutters for a while there so I keep my head in a safe now so noone can get at it. Hi Joyce in Liverpool and Michael from was over there. Christmas greetings to you and yours. Crickey Tassie ,your last missive took me back a bit. We used to put on concerts for the peeps in our street too. Only one I remember I was dressed as Merle Oberon. Go on all you lot ,tell me you don't remember who she was!!! anyway it was fin wasn't it? Triff, hope that rotten chemo doesn't knock you about too much Just remember we luvs ya. See, told you i dont talk much. Luv Merle
