Hi everyone ,, Had a lovely day and now feel stuffed...lol When logging on I got a page up that said would I answer a survey and I thought it was for GR to see how they were going or how they could improve things and got sucked in as it had nothing to do with genealogy so dont bother doing it Wattlers, it is a lot of info for sale to businesses for using , and nothing to do with genealogy..I answered 1 or 2 questions and that is all. A real CON,,, Hope you all had a lovely day and those that are not 100% hope you feel better soon Lots of love MAry xxx

Well, rain for some and snow for others :) Great Christmas - do you think I will need a fire? lol Had a lovely morning with our two boys - was blowing a gale so was disappointed that we couldn't go out in the small boat for a picnic - but had a hot lunch at home instead. Had to pick nearly all the apricots because the Cockatoos were ripping the tree to shreds - destructive little blighters. Now the figs are ripening so I suppose they will be in them next. just a quiet night with the two of us. I'm going shopping for a DISHWASHER tomorrow - bring on the sales!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~ Vonny AND Merry Christmas morning to all our friends in the UK and then to Canada / America :)

Hi all, Very hectic morning at present giving time, with sister's 3 kids and their spouses and children. .. One family had to leave (visiiting other spouse's family for lunch) .. We had 7 adults and 2 kids for lunch (oh, and one dog, a little Jack Russell). .. Had a great meal, and lovely chatter and giggle around the table. .. Made sure I had 2 glasses of wine, only 2 of the other girls had one glass each. (bottle in fridge now - maybe NY Eve? lol) <ooh horrid thought, maybe it was nearly empty and they tipped it out :( > In afternoon we did our annual visit to bils elderly mother in a Nursing home, she has altzeimers. .. bil goes every week, but his mother doesnt remember him, usually. Not particularly hungry tonight - but tired ? why, I ask! ???? I hope you all had a good day also. Love Jood

Merry Christmas Wattlers, Every thing ready, just got to light the Webber, to accomodate the duck. We will sit down for the feast about 1.30 when the breaky has worn off. Guess what Santa brought me, just what I wanted. A Pink Tool Kit. Now I don't have to go rummaging in the shed for a screw driver and hammer. It's starting to get a bit humid so we may get the promised storm. Laurie, we have a family of frog mouth owls and one Christmas one of them decided to come in and join us. He sat on top of the curtain rail for ages. I just love all the birds. At the moment we have a family of cockatoos who make an early morning visit. Funny it always coincides with chook feeding time. Well I Hope everyone has a really good day and those going away hope you have a great time and please travel safely. Vonny, just loved the story of the Birth. Bye SuzyQ

Thanks Jilly, and Merry Christmas to you and yours! Ho Ho everyone , Like you Anna, I am up to do the last minute Mother Christmas thing for DD15! She even wrote to Santa last night and left out a box of Savoury Shapes, so I’ve had to open it and remove a few to go along with the game – oh how she used to love it when the carrots were all chewed up and the beer can empty when she was little!! Vonny, I’m going to read that Bible passage out loud to us all this morning, have never heard the Story told in quite that way before lol. Kel Richards is a gem! We had a lovely dinner at friends last night where her neighbours kept on dropping in and staying for a chat, several of whom we know, so it was just beaut – and the ex’s came and went too, so civilised, I think it means everyone is getting older lol! When DD15 wakes up we will make bacon and eggs and have brekky on our laps around the tree while DD15 plays Santa. The tree is twinkling, the carols are on low, and I’ve got quite a big box to open?? Hmm the milk’s off, just going to have to put cream in my coffee!! This afternoon we go over to friends for a meal, very casual and relaxed. Her OH and his bikie mates (over 60’s her I’m talking, not hard core lol) are headed off to Tasmania tomorrow, they go every second year and meet the Sydney to Hobart yachts at the other end. So it will be a bit of a fun gathering. It is quite cool here, no rain however, but I heard that Goulburn got some and they really needed it. Have a lovely lovely day everyone, and the blessings of Christmas to you all Heather

Jesus is born (Luke 2:) In those days Caesar Augustus ordered a head count of the whole Roman world. (This was the first big tally, when Quirinius ran the Syrian branch of the empire.) And everyone had to go back to the bit of country they were born in to fill in the forms. So Joe hiked up from Nazareth (in Galilee shire) to Bethlehem (in Judea shire) because this spot in the mulga was where King David came from, and Joe's family tree had King David up in the top branches. He went there to fill in the forms and sign the register with his fiance, Mary, who was pretty near nine months by this time. While they were there, she gave birth to a baby boy. She wrapped him in a bunny rug, and tucked him up in a feed trough in a back shed, because the pub was full to bursting. There were some drovers, camped out in a paddock nearby, keeping an eye on their mob of sheep that night. Their eyes shot out on stalks when an angel of the Lord zapped into view, and the glory of the Lord filled the air like a thousand volts of electricity. The angel said: 'Stop looking like a bunch of stunned mullets. Let me give you the drum, the good oil, it's top news for the whole crew - everyone, everywhere. Today in that little town on the hill a rescuer has been born: he is the Promised One, the King, the Lord. And here's how you'll find him: the little nipper is wrapped up in a bunny rug, and lying in a food trough.' And before you could say, 'Well, I'll be blowed!' the whole sky was filled with more angels than you could count, all singing away at the top of their lungs (if angels have got lungs, that is): 'God is great! God is bonzer - and to everyone on this planet who's on God's side: peace and goodwill, and, by the way. Happy Christmas.' (Which rather confused the drovers because they'd never heard of Christmas before.) Suddenly the whole choir had nipped off in the blink of an eye. The drovers said to each other, 'We'd better make tracks to Bethlehem and have a squiz at what's happened - check out this message from God.' So the lot of them shot through like a Toorak tram to Bethlehem - and they found Mary, and Joe and the baby who was, sure enough, wrapped in a bunny rug and lying in a food trough. When they'd seen this they told every Tom, Dick and Harry about what had happened, and everyone who heard the story was blown away by it. But Mary just made a mental note of these things, and tucked them away in a corner of her heart. The drovers went back to the paddock, and their mob of sheep, as excited as a race horse on Melbourne Cup day, and saying what a bottler God was, because everything was spot on - just as they'd been told. from the Aussie Bible by Kel Richards. Merry Christmas everyone Vonny

Day Twelve Listen slurry head, You have ruined our lives. The twelve maidens dancing turned up last night and beat the living daylights out of the eight maids-a-milking, 'cos they found them carrying on with the eleven Lords-a-leaping. Meanwhile, the swans got out of the living-room, where they'd been hiding since the big battle, and savaged hell out of the Lords and all the Maids. There were eight ambulances here last night, and the local Civil Defence as well. The mother is in a home for the bewildered and I'm sitting here, up to my neck in birds' droppings, empty whiskey and Valium bottles, birds' blood and feathers, [sobbing] while the flaming cows eat the leaves off the pear-tree. I'm a broken man. Gobnait O'Lúnasa
