It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring, bumped his head on the back of the bed, couldn't get up in the morning. Yippee hi a, yippee hi r. okay have slepped myself over the wrist (bit of hello hello there ) lol, Well I think you may have guessed that it's raining here in S.E.Sunny Q'Land. gone to my head, obviously, but it's that real soaking in type of stuff. Hope you are getting some SuzyQ and Laurie and you too Anna and Fluffy One, Had some friends pop in christmas eve and one of the ladies was telling me about this beautiful , wait for it, strobury wine she had tasted at another friends house, nearly fell over didn't I, laughing so much, okay I asked 'do you know where your friend got this wine from, ' No says she', 'b-gger says I, only that a few friends of mine around the whole of Australia are trying to track it down!' I held her down by the neck on the floor for a second or two but to no avail, she couldn't remember any more than that it was the most beautiful wine she had ever tasted. I tried girls, honest. lol luv Jillx

Barbs sister who lives in Powell Town says they got two inches of rain Chrissy morning and some had ice and even snow, but it was very comfortable for eating a hot meal. Boxing day is chill out day for us, and we will do nowt, nothing, absolutley bugga all...:>))) except sit back and chill. Had a great Christmas day with family and friends, and i got great pressie from Barb. ' 13 inch bronze Standing Anubis Statue' as i have a great love for anything Egyptian, and add it to my now growing collection. Something funny: I have changed my name back to Tony Oz because of contact problems with U.K relo's....LOL Had one cousin in England email me at home saying: Hey' Tony..........There's a chap in my Hot matches named Rudee the red nosed rain beer, that has soooooooooo many ancestors that tie up with our family, and i have GR emailed him, but he wont respond?........hee hee Our chrissy tree and dec's stay up till 31st Jan. Hope everyone had a great time with family and friends. Best wishes to all who are not well, take care. catcha ron. Tony Oz....:>)))

Suzy I am back to Just Jood already - I think you can please yourself. ..I did it probably because my (silly) sister has taken - or rather got her oh to take down the xmas tree, all the decorations, you wouldnt even know it was xmas yesterday in this house. .. (She likes the place spotless) I have no idea what Indians drink Suzy - hope its not kava or something that will knock me over hahaha .. I'll let you know anyway. .. I would think they'd have wine? The Perth sales would not be as horrendous as Sydney, I'm sure. Off to the airport now Jood

great veg out day. sometimes we can see the sydney to hobart yacht race go past just before it gets dark. poss and youngest are watching the cricket, miles is eating prawns for brunch. poss isn't game to eat much and has a pot of green tea next to him. i've been washing and delivering junk mail- alternately - so get to have a yak to the peeps i meet around the walk. eldest is on his way to melbourne but still in NSW. rang to remind him to check out his family history in euroa on the way. middle one is still with girlfriend so its pretty quiet. - and I won't be going shopping although I'm running out of washing powder. lovely sunny day but not hot. love Yvette x

Good Morning, Nice to hear that everyone has enjoyed their Chrismas dinner and choice of pudding. Fresh fruit for me. I will be keeping away from sales, never been one to get a bargin, usually I end up with rubbish. Well, it has been steadily raining for most of the morning but I think it has stopped now. Our weather patterns are really strange. Parts of America that have white Christmas's have not this year, first time in 100 years, and parts of Victoria had a white Christmas. Hope there is still some ice for you to see in the Antarctic Lew. LOL Jood, I am glad you managed to have a tipple with your dinner. Do Indians drink alchohol? Just watching the horses running about next door. I think they must like this weather, they are very active. Well I am going to put in an entry for tonights Oz Lotto. $13 million tonight. Wish me luck I will look in later Luv SuzyQ When do we go back to our regular names?

Morning all, I was all ready to go to the sales this morning, but in Perth, the shops are only open in Fremantle & Rockingham. .. I recall last year that throngs went down the coast for the best bargains. .. I think I'll wait till tomorrow when all the other stores in and around Perth open. Instead, I'm a passenger in the car out to the airport, we are transporting niece, oh and 2 kids who are off to Singapore this morning. I got my pressie ticket to the Hopman Cup for 30 Dec (opening day) 11.00am. .. Don't know who is playing as yet. .. On Thursday I am off to Toodyay to photograph family burials in the local cemetery, and to try and film some convict bricks in one of the churches there, supposedly built by my daughters ancestor, a convict and stone mason. Friday night, we have been invited next door by a lovely indian couple, neighbours of my sister and oh. .. Ooooh..... I do hope they have some indian snacks! .. I heard my bil say 'we don't drink wine' - I hope he didnt mean me, coz I will have some ! .. haha Have a great day all. Jood

Good morning Wattlers, Glad y'all had a good day yesterday - ours was quiet as usual. After my early morning rise and going back to bed I didn't surface til 10 - body must have really needed the extra sleep. Cos I'm the only one who eats brekky here I was in no hurry for lunch so made them all wait - haha Our 3 course lunch started with prawns while we watched an Eric Sykes DVD - The Plank and 4 other shows - very funny and lots of familiar old comedic faces including Charlie Drake who has just passed on - kids got a good laugh out of it all - they don't make comedy like that anymore - pity. The turkey breast was served around 4pm and at 7.30 we had pudding - there is no indigestion in this house - been there and never again. Opened the bottle of Pink but not a fan - still looking for storbury infused wine - gotta be better. Today is OH's birthday so we are off to movies Happy Feet then lunch and maybe pop into a couple of stores to see what I don't want to buy - sales rarely have what I want or need. Was it this time last year we were all sitting in fridges trying to keep cool????? cos right at mo in Canberry it is 4 degrees - even Ginger was cold cos he snuggled under the blankets with me last night. Better get rest of family moving so we can see early session and hopefully have theatre to ourselves. Have a relaxing day peeps except for brave Vonny who's joining the throngs at the sales - good luck with the dishwasher shopping. Flakey enjoy your holiday. Gwenda

Good evening Wattlers . . . so glad to read that many of you have had a lovely family day, as we did. TLR and I had a lovely quiet morning, breaky out under the trees, and no phone . . . we dont get mobile service out here and the phone decided to go on the blink - we knew it was on the way out, and meant to get a new one at the shops the other day but forgot. Paul and his friend Kate arrived for lunch, mudcrab, prawns and lobster and the most delicious avo . . Paul picked up avo's from a farm on the mountain. Then about 3pm Glen & Nell arrived, the two girls got on really well . . . it was the first time they had met it was lovely sitting around talking and exchanging gifts. I got very spoilt as did everyone else. We have a little family tradition - each of us donating to a charity of choice a little extra at Christmas time - I always choose the Salvos and I was very proud that both the boys had been most generous, and had both chosen the Breast Cancer fund this year. Paul had to get Kate back to the city, but Glen & Nell stayed on and came over to Chris and Sues with us and we all tucked into left overs for dinner tonight before they also returned to the city. A very lovely Chrissy day !!! Tomorrow it is off to Glens house at Brighton for a BBQ lunch to try out his new outdoor setting. Our little owl family are back on the grass again this evening and have kept us amused with their antics - the bird life in general is truely amazing considering the shortage of water. Well I am one tired worn out printheth tonight so I will call it quits and catch up with you all tomorrow some time. Nigh nite - sleep well - sweet dreams luv Laurie

Christmas Day is almost over - we had a lovely lazy day - ate too much - ended up watching Chris's new DVD's of the Chaser series 1 and 2 - very funny. We were promised rain but it didn't happen - now they are saying we might get some tomorrow but I won't hold my breath. A warm day here today but we sat inside with the airconditioning on and it was just lovely. Katherine's Chrissy present was a video camera so we've been videod at most inappropriate times throughout the day!! Hope everyone had a great day. XX Anna PS Flakey - have a great holiday!

Evening Wattlers Well I had a lovely day today, talked to son on phone, that was after I woke the girls up, I know, I know, it should be the other way round, but I am always anxious to get to my Nans place, especially on Christmas Day. The we sat and talked with the 18 family members that was there, we was spread between lounge and dining rooms. Then after our lovely Chrissy dinner, which I had some pink wine .......... No not the alcholic one that was had at the balconnie party, but the non alcholic one you buy from woolies. then it was back on the road and to girls other grandparents place for a visit, then home for a nice ham salad, and just about to have my usual chrissy sweets, stewed Cherries and cream, its a must on Chrissy day as I dont eat pud. It stayed reasonably fine while we was on the road, but we have had some rain and Hobart got snow, I believe. Well Im going to get of here and will catch you good people tomorrow. Cheers Sue
