Well here we are. The last day of 2006. We've certainly had our ups and downs. The passing of our Fluffy Duck's Terry, the Queen's fight against that nasty cancer, lots of little health issues for some and others who have had to cope with the ongoing drought. But we must remember all the good times we've had. BrisVegas, Sydney Meet, Balcoonie Meet, the Gutter Meet (still makes my mind boggle, heee) and lots of little Meets in between. And through it all, not a cross or unkind word was been said. I don't think there could be a more caring support network. Tony, thank you for the lovely family photo. Barbcode and all your daughters and grandchildren are beautiful. You're a lucky man, but I think you already know that. Your Majesty, I'm pleased that you're feeling a bit brighter - nice way to usher in the New Year. Anna, well done with 2 lots of wins. We must be building up for the real big one. I'll do my best. QM (formerly SuzyQ), I hope that circumstances change and you're able to join us in Mudgee. Jood, sounds like you're having a wonderful time in Perth, but somehow I knew you would. Such a party animal, lol Printheth Loz, hope your behaving yourself up north!!! Sandra, thank you for our beautiful New Year's card. To all the Wattlers, not mentioned above Lara, Flakey, DIY, Donna, Gwenda, Heather, Joan, Jill, Leah, Lyn, Mary, Pat, Shazz, Tassie, Vonny, Wilson, Yvette, Janet, Mel and who could forget Rebs, Jilly McMad and that Crazy Cat! Wishing each and every one of you and your families all the best for 2007. May it be a happy and healthy year for all. HRH Dr Lew Lew PS - Line up in an orderly fashion and I will start dispensing my special New Year's Pills. pmsl |

Good morning Wattlers. I would like to wish you all the very best for the New Year. And I would also like to thank you all for the friendship throughout 2006. It wasn't always the best year for many people but we can at least remember it as a year that brought us all together making the hard times that much easier to bear. I hope that we manage to catch up many more times in 2007, starting for many in Mudgee. Unfortunately I will not be able to make it this time, but I will be with you all in my thoughts. Ofcourse, if things change before then, wild horses wouldn't keep me away. It will be a quiet night for us, I think, Michael Buble sounds good and I love to watch the fireworks. It's safer to be off the roads anyway. We may have a drink or two with our neighbours. Well done Anna, 2 wins. May I suggest we put it on Powerball. It is a $12million jackpot this week. Just a thought. Jill I am sorry to hear that you are having problems and I hope that you manage to get them sorted soon. Is Ron feeling better now. I can now feel a coffee coming on, will look in later Love SuzyQ aka the Queen Mother ( just ask Lew ) |

Happy New Year's Eve to all my Wattler friends And I wish you strength, courage, peace and happiness for the brand new year. There will be bumps and twists and potholes in the road ahead but the support and care of friends makes life's challenges easier to bear. A toast to my Wattler friends. And our Mudgee meet is gettitng closer and closer - that is certainly something to look forward to. Thankyou Gwenda for the beautiful poem - we have some very talented people on our Wattler thread. OK - time to put on the party hats! Jood - glad you enjoyed the tennis. We'll have you home soon with lots of great memories to bring with you. Lara - please tell me about the Edinborough tattoo!! I detect a story there! I thought last night's effort was a bit way out in parts - I prefer the traditional music for the tattoo. We actually went to it in 2000. Very stirring. Yvette - if you've woken up by now - which movie do you recommend? Seems you've seen them all. I want to see the Queen - doesn't Helen Mirren loook like her!! Any one got big plans for tonight? Going to be quiet here. I'm reading 'The Secret River' by Kate Grenville which is about early settlement in Austtralia and the conditions in London which precipitated the establishment of the penal settlement here - harrowing stuff. We have so much to be thankful for. Off to have breaky and read the Sunday paper. It will be full of Saddam Hussein no doubt. They should have let him rot in gaol and suffer as far as I'm concerned. Catch you all later. XX Anna |

NEW YEAR THOUGHTS WISHING YOU & YOUR FAMILY A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR We’ve seen the passing of another year For many it’s been filled with pain and tears We’ve seen our loved ones in their decline We’ve had to accept that they won’t be fine Some of us had to say goodbye To a long time loved one, and we’ve all cried But there have been times in this past year That certain events have brought us cheer There are so many friends that are on the list And I know there’s names I will have missed But better friends I could not have bought And here is just a New Year’s thought If it were possible that a wish could come true Then this is my New Year’s wish for you May the coming year be full of hope And may we be given the strength to cope Let courage, faith and patience abound And let us pray that a cure will be found And now at the close of another year My friends, I wish you a Happy New Year think that sums up what we've all shared this year. Wishing you all a very happy 2007. Gwenda |

Yaaaayyy! Good on you, Anna! 2 wins! Better than nothing. Hi Wattlers.....started my 'good' week yesterday. I'm feeling pretty good (all things considered). Looks as if I'm going to be able to celebrate New Year. I haven't been on here for a few days so I'm a bit behind on all the news. I hope everyone is ok and all your families are healthy and happy. I'll be thinking of you all tomorrow night as Graeme and I drink a glass of bubbly and see in the New Year. Health, happiness, love and long life to you all. big hugz Trifley X |

Hi guys Well -at least we didn't come away empty handed. Probably won't pay much as there were so many tickets sold. But at least it will be enough to get some extra numbers. Tell me when you want me to invest the winnings! Glad to hear your son is improving Vonny. Laurie - hope you are having fun.............. Cheers dears Anna |

Sorry, my fault....:>((( .....It was 2 wins..not 3. Game 11 was 2 numbers and 2 supps...so no win there. Must be at least 3 and a supp for a minor prize. Tony Oz..:>)) |

Wow Anna, Three wins on one ticket!!! Way to go :) Evening all, was out for tea. Son has been moved out of acute care and into a two bed room. They still haven't done anything about his right hand - I think it is in the too hard basket!! He passed his memory test today - one down and two to go :) So might be home New Years Day afternoon if he gets the next two day's right. We were at the hospital - 9th floor - watching the storm come over and when it had gone, one of the smaller mountains was covered with hail - as white as snow - must have had lashings of hail. We got home to our place and it was dry!! But we have had a shower this evening. Still very tired but slept well last night. ((((((HUGS)))))) to Trifley and Ducky and your hubby Mary and ~~~~~~~~~~~~ to all Vonny |
