Happy new year to you all, I've just read my way through four pages Tony,You are a wusss.himself says well done, he wishes he'd thought of that all those years ago. He's asleep --Again. A quiet night for us thats for sure I want to say thanks to you all and hope all of us have a really good year. Triff and fluffy,my love to you,Ron too and vons son and my darling man. you've all helped so much in the short time I've been with you and your willingness to respond to yet another stranger with loving concern has been such a blessing A bloke called Jesus made .a habit of doing that too Didn't win the lotto either darn it. Afternoon Wattlers, Glad you all liked the poem - I'm very clever with copy and paste - couldn't write a poem to save myself - just ask my Mum who used to have to write poems for my homework - lol Actually someone had it on a thread last year - it is so appropriate. Tony - thanks for the family piccle Anna & Sandra - thanks for the lovely e-cards It will be a quiet night in this house except for the stereo - both kids are out but I'll stay up to see the NY in - just to prove I can still stay the distance - ppppppppp Then as someone said last year - whatever you do on the first day of the NY you will do for the remainder of the year I plan to start my day with a walk around the block, then get stuck into some housework that is desperately needed and some gardening so I think my first day of the year will be quite busy. Last year it was tooooo hot and I didn't do much and that is how the whole year really went. Trifley & Fluffy Duck - wishing you heaps better year. Afternoon all Just taking this chance in case I dont get back on tonight to wish you all a very happy New Year and may 2007 be better than this one. Must go and get the Barbie fired up as girls are leaving for Vic tonight and are having a couple of friends around for tea before they go. Also if I am missing for a couple of days you know why, I will be looking down on lovely Wineglass Bay, and other lovely locations and wont be able to pull myself away from the area. Good Arvo Wattlers, We had rain this morning and still very cloudy. We have Grandsons staying tonight as parents have to work day shift tomorrow, am cooking a roast ( their favourite) we might go to the closest point and watch 9oclock fireworks from wollongong not even daring to go right into town, parking will be a nightware, should be able to see fireworks that are going off at the lighthouse. Then home again and watch Sydney fireworks on tele. Great family pic Tony. Thanking all wattlers for their friendship this past year I think we are a great bunch. Hello all Tony we are the same don't go far from home only where we can walk so we stay safe and dont get caught up in the dreaded crowds of revellers going beserk not that I mind peeps having good times just the over indulgence of some that spoil it I feel . I also lost my Dad on New Years Eve it takes some of the polish of it . Gwenda the poem was lovely and does say it all. Happy New Year Wattlers, Roy and I wish you all a wonderful 2007 with everything you wish for yourselves and your families. Trifley and Ducky especially, we hope 2007 is a whole new chapter for you both, with lots of good health and happiness. Tonight is a big night on the island. The main street is closed off and a hugh stage erected in front of the Yacht club. there will be 2 bands and lots of dancing in the street. We have a bbq with friends on our balcony where we can sit and watch everything. then at midnight there will be a hugh fireworks display across from us. It will all be very loud but a safe night for everyone as there are no cars but free buses. Thanks to everyone who has sent cards and pics by email, I cant retrieve anything at the moment so will have a look when I get home. i was honestly adding a real reply when the phone went, came back and Lew has alerted 'us' to the approaching number. thought that the cat was near , so went hard and feel quite silly (pills shot at me ) I have to tell you this, when I first came here, you lot would go on about the cat and Lew with her gun. I thought that she must have had a feral cat hanging about her place. Didn't really agree with the course of action - shooting it- but then it wasn't any of my business. Thats only 1 of the funnies that made me cackle. We get all the nutters about here too, weather is looking like rain and its quite cool, hopefully it will piddle down and keep more away. We've been for walkies with 1 pooch, poss is having the arvo nap so he can go the distance tonite being a musician again. Hi Carol, come over and join us any time. Theres always something happening. have to disappoint you though - its not hot where i live today. blowey, drizzly and cool. winds whippping the sea up to rough choppy stuff. thanks for the lovely wishes yvette x

Well lovely peeps, I don’t post often but read your thread with tears rolling down at some of the antics you get up to, some of the pain I feel and wish I could take away and some of the hot sunshine you have but do not always want so I ask you to throw it over here lol but what I wish you all is an ever growing tree, lots of numbers that come up and most of all an enjoyable New Year. Gwenda. Loved your poem, such true words. We are staying home to-night, as we do each New Years Eve. I do tend to bend the elbow a little bit extra on this occassion, so best not drive and endanger my family, or anyone else's family. Having a Barbie late to-night, and my kids coming over to celebrate the New Year in. There is a condition that they stay the night, and not drive home. Melbourne suburbs will be full of Hero's and ratbags roaring around in cars well over the limit. Barb and i wish you all a Happy New Year for tomorrow.
