i'm trying, trying youngest male child is watching/listening to Cream. (sunshine of my life) it blocks out the outside noise at least. I've closed all the windows blinds and doors. too. changed my sheets made my ny resloutions which are quite achievable my bedroom will not resemble (far out he's playing it on the electric guitar now) a walk in bookshelf ... for much longer. i will not eat spinach paneer for 3 meals in a row ever again perpetual resolution - i will try to be a nicer person - always a challenge - but goes hand in hand with 'surround yourself with the nicest of peeps', affirmation - i will look forward to going to work again hmmph. i think miles likes 'cream', he can have it . nite all, happy new year. lots of love from Yvette xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hic hic hip Happy New Year to you all too, Pmsl over the choccy slumber party Tony!! We have a slumber party here again tonight, I have hosted so many now, DD15 runs them like clockwork because if she doesn’t stay in charge she can’t have any more! There is no end of kids wanting to come over so she must do something right!! Tonight I have just escaped back to the kitchen to see the rest of the Eagles (~~ SuzyQ and Gwenda-that you in the front row!!), but a minute ago there were seven teens in the lounge singing away! I don’t mind ‘cos I KNOW WHERE THEY ARE !! It is attempting to rain in slow motion here, very black over the mountains to our east at dusk, lightening forks, very weird really. Hopefully it might set in properly. Oops, just read Vonny’s post and it looks like Canberra has copped the weather yet again tonight. I am using my new lappy and it’s not able to get my emails yet, so when I do get to log on to my emails I will be able to admire the piccy’s and greetings, meanwhile thanks everybody. I feel like the Wattlers are a little extended family, I’m always keen to see what everyone is up to, good or bad, it is lovely to share in other lives really especially when you are locked in to the one you have sometimes. Well I’ve lasted past 10 pm so that’s pretty much it for me, I’ll see you all next year!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Heather

I'm glad Raggy got back to us, she had emailed me the previous day. Good evening Wattlers. . . Not had a chance to log on before now, and no read anything yet - but Duckers tells me Congrats are in order for Anna and the 2 line Lotto . . . well done girl !! Had I realised I was so sick yesterday there is no way I would have got in the car to drive up here . . . twas a ghaustly trip with pit stops all the way - took us 11 hours to get here - and arrived to find all the inlaws gathered for a family dinner . . . yeah right! like I was in any state to be civilized let alone eat . . . . This afternoon I took M-I-L to the cemetery . . she is sure I was measuring her up, but I really only needed her for directions. New year looks like being a very quiet affair for us - the rest of the family of outlaws have gone off to Yeppoon for celebrations, but I didn't feel like joining them. I got fish and chips for TLR & the M-I-L on my way back from the cemetery, so have filled them full of good fatty foods (teehee maybe I was measuring her up . . . teehee. . . . ) Found a vacant family plot that might come in handy . . . F-I-L had purchased the one next to his first wife, and it has never been used. M-I-L has a spot next to him in the lawn . . . so we have a spare plot here if anyone wants it. . . I would like to thank you all for the lovely cards and messages for the New Year - and the very best wishes to you all from TLR & I. May we all be blessed with a year of good friends, health and happiness!! Will go have a read back for a while and catch up on the happeneings of the past 2 days . . . Take care all and enjoy whatever it is you are doing to welcome in the New Year . . . luv Laurie xoxo

Evening all, Gwenda and JA, I hope you are ok. That's the dirtiest looking storm I've ever seen. And we hardly got a drop! Canberra is on orange alert and there is damage at Tuggers (down south) so I hope you were both out of the firing line. John was on his way to the hospital and drove right into it. He said he has never been in rain that heavy before. Of course, he drove right on - everyone else pulled over! :) Son is better and has passed two memory tests. He has to get another one right tomorrow and they might let him out - or at least give him a pass to spend some time with us - we are meant to be having family Christmas tomorrow. Lovely poem Gwenda and beaut song Tony. May I join in all the best wishes for the New Year - may all your families receive many blessings in the year ahead and much joy and laughter. So glad I 'met' you all this year :) Looking forward to Mudgee. ~~~~~~~~~~~ also to all friends across the sea. Congratulations on the number - whoever got it! lol Vonny

Evening Wattlers Saw this in today's paper and had to share it with you. 'We wish you a financially successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2007, but with due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures or sects, and having regard to the race, creed, colour, age, physical ability, religious faith, choice of computer platform or sexual preference of the wishee.' Now that is political correctness! BTW - 5th division won $27.55 so that's $55.10 to put towards more entries. Let me know when you want me to do it. SuzyQ suggested Power Ball but I don't know anything about Power Ball. My New Years resolution is to eat less and exercise more. But that is my New Year's resolution every year and so far it hasn't done me a lot of good! Cheers dears Anna

Hi Merle, Glad you found us and we've been able to brighten up your day when they haven't been the best for you. Let's hope 2007 is a better one for you and himself. Big storm in Canberra at mo - lots of thunder and rain - hope it continues long enough to do some good. Bad luck about any outdoor celebrations but think we would all agree that rain is more important than blasting fireworks. Off to get food and settle in front of telly - hope power doesn't go off.
