Good evening Wattlers from Rockhampton . . . Well we got to see in the new Year, TLR kept up the bubbles to me . . . toasted with the Queen via sms . . . had a chat to the Duckers . . . and survived yet another day in hell! Today I washed and scrubbed . . . did all the outdoor furniture, and the deck and walls on the back of the house. ( and I did none of it right !!) . . . But we get there - I take it all with a grin and a pinch of salt (and TLR knows to keep the wine supply up to me) - I am truley making it sound better than it is too you guys . . . so dont pick on me for being unkind about the m-i-l !!! Then the broth-in-law, (who is a nice guy) took us on a tour of the city to show us the changes .. . very interesting, specially the phone conversations with the wee Scottie lass who had run out of drinking partners . . . and having a giggle at her expense with Lew . . . I am sure them that were in the car with me think I am bonkers . . . Ah well they are probably right !!! I have one more day to get thru here, and some jobs to do at the cemetery - then on Wednesday we will head back home . . . Thinking about you heaps today Duckers, I know it would have been a difficult day being Terry's birthday, and all . . . hang in there kid!! Boy I bet you have some New Year/Birthday party memories . . . imagine there have been some big ones stored in the memory bank ((hugs)) Lara I know this is a difficult time of year for you too . . . ((hugs)) and to all who are missing loved ones ((hugs)) too. We're off to bed, so catch up tomorrow if I get a chance to get online nigh nite - sleep well - sweet dreams !! luv Laurie xo |

Just signing in for the New Year - looks like John is going to join the lurgy brigade - just as well we have three bathrooms!! I think he has eaten too many apricots!! Was a great start to 2007 for us - eldest son was discharged from hospital and they are now saying he only has one broken thumb and that the other hand will be ok once the swelling goes down and the stiches are out. He passed his memory test today, although his immediate memory is still a bit wonky, but his long term one is back!! His wife has next week off work to look after him. We had all the family over today and had our 'Christmas'. They have just gone home. We are a bit tired as we went to bed early last night and then were woken with all the fireworks. But not anything like your neighbours, Sandra! The new dishwasher is getting a work out BUT I can't use my new clothes line because of the rain!! gee, if I knew getting a clothesline would break the drought, I would have bought one ages ago LOL Glad you are better now Wilson, and just buy an extra ticket whenever - there is always a big one round the corner :) New Year hugs to all and Mudgee is getting closer :) Vonny |

Poor Wilson, that's not a good start to the New Year! Well, it can only get better. Here, take these special tangerine pills I made fresh this morning, that will help, lol. I'm sure whatever you decide to do with the winnings will be fine with all the Wattlottos. Anna did us proud by winning $55!! So that's a good start. HRH Dr Lew Lew xxx |

Happy New Year Everyone!!! Now i have a confession to make......i didn't buy a tatts ticket in the big one :-((((, but i have a good excuse. i was sick :-((( son in law gave one too many presents this year, he had been unwell with the dreaded gastro, but thought he was clear....guess he wasn't lol. i have not been so sick for a long time, didn't know which end to point at what hehe. OH got it as well, so we were a pair of misery's for a couple of days. Back on top now though, So is everyone happy if i just buy a ticket in the next big one? Havn't read back to far, and i am sure someone would have let me know if we were rich, so guess we are still waiting for the big win lol. Hope everyone had a great Christmas and has a happy and healthy 2007, Take Care Wilson |

He said hes had my e addy for a while but now has the internet. i nearly cried - was so excited. His family are my closest relos on my dads side. Am itching for him to write back again off to give food processor lessons to eldest non driver with hangover. Love Yvette x |

Arvo from a wet Canberra - if we start the year as we intend going on does this mean that it is going to rain on a daily basis too??? Have done some gardening and guess what - dig just under the surface and it is as dry as dry can be - wouldn't know that we'd had any rain at all. Just had to rescue 3 loads of washing so think any outdoor chores are over for today - still plenty of indoor things need doing tho First to get some lunch - gotta keep my strength up now I'm on a roll with all this activity - lol Gwenda |

Happy New Year Everyone. Well I managed to stay up to see in 2007, then I couldn't get to sleep and up again at 5am. No one told the chickens they could have a lie in. I really enjoyed Michael Buble and the Eagles, but turned Cream off. We used to manage a band who played Eagle stuff and it brought back many happy memories. Decided to have a lazy day today and get stuck into h**********k tomorrow. I did clean the car this morning, just inside. Neville did the windows.( on the car) Its now time to think of a snack for lunch, some thing healthy. How does bacon sound. LOL Have a great day every one Luv SuzyQ ( haven't been given the OK for QM yet) |

So my first trip of the year at 3.30 am Him and his buddies were sooo happy they didn't have to find a taxi - or prob. pay for it. Minimal sleep but will catch up with that this arvo. Walkies time now before it gets too late. Love Yvette x |

Happy New Year Got up at 5.30 to let Ginger out then back to bed for bit more shut eye than up at 7 as it's garbage day. Did my 27 minute walk around the block - only 5 other peeps out at 8 am. Lots of bark all over the place but no trees down so not much damage around our neck of the woods. Had 3 buckets out catching the rain yesterday and all are full. Someone had crackers around here last night so now Saddie has decided he's staying in today - not the bravest cat that one. One load of washing out and next ready to go so better get back to the 2nd part of my resolutions and then onto the gardening. Still very overcast here and more showers predicted for this arvo. Off to change the calendars over - have been typing 2007 for a couple of weeks now doing rosters - very challenging to say the least so see how I go now it really has arrived. Have a great day folks Gwenda |

Mine is to walk everyday ......well it was til I woke to heavy rain....lol Street party was washed out last night, rained constantly from about 9.30. We stayed inside and watched the Eagles on the tv...much better than the band outside anyway. Kate and a friend arrive up here in an hour, hope the weather clears a bit for them, after a yr in the UK all they want to do is lay around the pool and go fishing. Printheth Loz, was you really sick? or just trying to get out of leaving home??? Ducky, what you doing today, I know you're lurking. Have a great day everyone Flakey |

Morning all. Didnt see one firework - either in the sky or on tv - must watch the news tonight. Welcome to 2007 Mary, I did have some wine last night - think it was Illawarra something or other - it was a storberry sparkling wine and almost as good as the balcoonie stuff. It will do me till I can track down the Amberton Lizard Strawberry Infused Sparkling Brut. A pleasant night, but in bed by 11. Wakey wakey, rise'n shine you lot!!! UPDATE Killawarra Dusk Strawberry is what I had. Love to all Jood |
