Morning all. Woke to find that rain had fallen overnight - don't know how much. The sun is struggling to shine through the clouds which were grey all day yesterday. Maybe the cyclone has gone through up north, havent caught up with the weather news yet. Mary, I bent my plastic so much, I'll have to take a cleaning job or something :(( Seems like I am flying home on a smaller plane, just 3 x 3 seats across. I came over on a 3 x 4 x 3 seat plane. I went in on the net to change my seat allocation should I not like it, as I did when I came over, and am quite happy with the seat they chose, especially as the two seats next to me were empty!!!! One last cappuccino from my bil for morning tea, and a quick bite of lunch and we will be heading off to the airport for flight at 2.05pm. See y'all tomorrow morning most likely. Enjoy your winter shopping Lew. Love to all Jood

Good evening Wafflers . . . Honey . . . I'm HOME !!!! Have just read 6 pages . . . and can't remember a thing teehee Just know I have had a good laugh . . . and found the box of Darrell Lea Dark chocolate Ginger in the fridge and given it a nudge as I read! We had a long trip back from Rockhampton today . . . We went looking for TLR's gtgrandparents grave in an old cemetery in Gudalga - went 4 wheel driving up the cow paddock, then in the rain we trappled thru long grass till we found them . . gave the headstones a bit of a clean up so we could get some good pickles and TLR was so pleased . . . he was like a kid in a candy store. I had to tell him their story all thru . . . there was gtgrandfather Benjamin Bladerson and his with Elizabeth (nee Bates) beside them was their son Benjamin and his wife Annie. TLR is really getting the hang of this!!!! We got heaps of photos from cemeteries around Rocky of his grandparents and other rellies graves - he spent yesterday afternoon doing lots of maintenance at the cemetery and placed a concrete surround and pebbles around his fathers rose bush at the crematorium. I think he has caught the bug . . . teeheee Thanks Ducky for keeping us entertained via sms's on the long trip . . . I had better get off here and get some shut eye or I will be playing catch up all day tomorrow. So nigh nite - sleep well - sweet dreams luv Laurie xoxo

Evening all We have had lovely rain all day - 35 mls in the rain guage last time I looked. Plants are loving it - especially the new ones I put in on Tuesday. And the tank is full! Mary - sorry you aren't able to come to Mudgee but if they can help John with his pain that has to take priority. We'll meet again - don't know where, don't know when, but I know we'll meet again some sunny day. Darling daughter has just started at the McGregor summer school at our local uni - 2 weeks of music making and they've made her lead flute in the flute choir so she is quite chuffed! It's full on every day culminating in a huge concert for the public on Friday 12 January. 150 music students attending and there are others doing visual arts, drama, music theatre etc. 500 people attending altogether from all over Australia. It's a huge annual event here. Good luck with your long johns etc Lew! Don'tcha love the latest addition to the Royal Palace - the young Prince has chosen very well. All very regal I must say. Are you home Laurie - I think it was today you were returning so hope the weather hasn't been too bad for your trip. Yvette - glad the new job is going well. I'd best do a bit of rolling around on a fit ball myself after the Christmas excesses! It will be a case of a blob on a ball! See you all tomorrow. XX Anna

Hi Wattlers, do you seriously believe I even own a pair of bathers? You'll see why when I figure out how to work the' printerthingy.Double showers don't seem to be considered a requisite by dept of housing.Only rich peeps have those. You should have seen the performance this morning. I got an exercise ball for chrissie and was seated on it in front of the puter cause I'm told it helps get the fat off the high diddle diddle. Was quite comfy too but the came time to get off it with one leg under the desk and the unbending one stuck out at right angles. Ended up slipping non too gracefully backwards onto the floor then pulled myself up by the side of the bed. And what was himself doing while this was going on I ask? Choking with laughter till the tears ran down his face. He'll get his. This elephant has a looonnnggg memory.

Evening All, don't actually go to Sydney until the morning, so I'll let you know how successful the clothes shopping goes then, Vonny. Mary, I have to buy all those clothes, but that's okay because it can get down to minus 14 in Mudgee over winter, so they won't go to waste. I'm sailing to the Antarctic, Heather, and we hop on zodiacs (small inflatables) and travel to shore to play with the penguins and seals. I'll make sure that there is lots of pickles, don't worry. Haven't seen Happy Feet yet, but might have to do so before Departure Day. You and Dave are booked into the Mudgee Tour Lunch on Sunday 18 Feb, Gwenda. Details to follow. Well, I'll be off the air tomorrow, so will catch up on Friday. Love to you all HRH Dr Lew Lew xxx

Evening All, Well, I expect all the choccy coated ginger has all gone by now Vonneeeee!, but DD15 made Chocolate Fudge Brownies tonight so I’ll have one or three of those before the night is out!! Last night OH and I were so tired we were both in bed by 8.30 pm, so tonight I’m feeling perky for the first time in ages, I might possibly manage to read all my X’y cards and letters!! Have managed over the last few nights to touch base with all the family – NZ, Brisbane, Adelaide, Sth. Gippy Vic and my Melb bro has already left for 3 wks in California, he and his wife were almost blizzarded in bushwlking on Mt Anne in Tassie just before Christmas right at the same time the fires were happening on the east coast – gosh, no wonder I’m tired, I can hardly keep up with the immediate family. Mary, all the best to John facing surgery, this is good news because the medical imaging these days is amazing, and they clearly know what they have to do. I can’t get to Mudgee either, so we’ll all sob in our beer together during February!! Trifly, do have a virtual choccy fudge to celebrate a ‘good’ week, there will be many more….. Lew, are you actually going to walk around with the penguins or just fly over them?? I haven’t seen “Happy Feet” yet but perhaps it would put you in the mood?? Hope a big ice shelf doesn’t break off right under you !!! LOL – you could end up off the coast of New Zealand!! Lol a lot!!!! Can’t wait for some piccy’s _ I’ve never met anyone who’s actually BEEN to Antarctica, so I wait with baited breath for your descriptions. PS can you bring back a spare iceberg because my garden could do with some fresh water – we got about 26 spits the other night, how about you Lara, any better in Yarrawonga? Really I’m just about over this drought, and I’m not even a farmer. The sky has clouded up and we’ve had lightening and thunder, but no actual WETNESS…… OK, icing has set on the brownies – I’m making a cuppa and then indulging…. ~~~~~~to all, Mwah, Heather
