Little fluffy yellow duck

Little fluffy yellow duck Report 9 Jun 2006 05:40

Afternoon all Heather there is no need to be green with envy at the moment, p****ing down rain in Brissie, beautiful wet rain. Tropical fruits are too expensive to buy and all the good stuff goes south anyway, no lush greenery - all dead from lack of rain, no sunshine today and the beaches are a bit dull. The fantastic company I'm sure will more than make up for it. You are right about the hotels being booked out. Spent last night and all morning trying to find somewhere to stay. Have a good weekend Pam

ello ello ello! So many questions to answer. .. I spoke to Laurie earlier, I hope she is feeling better tomorrow than she is right now. ... Its been drizzling here most of the morning, a real wintry day .. Jude - Wilson - I dont mind where we meet in Bendigo as long as I can find the ruddy place!!! I have only been to that restaurant once, I think you (W) and Lara went the 2nd time, and if you were shifting tables more than we did, no wonder you want to go somewhere else hee hee heee. .. I would be in Bendigo for about 2 weeks mid January. Princess Di(y)and Wilson - what are your plans in Perth - where you staying where you going???? how long for???? .. I'm from Perth, remember! Not a word from the Mudgee Queen, she mustn't have taken her lappy with her. Jood

allo allo allo Joodee (like the french accent? lol) Ken and I are heading to the Silver Sands Resort in Mandurah (about an hour sth of perth - I think) for a week 18th-25th August. We are going to hire a car to get around, can't see Ken sitting still for more than a day, so what are your suggestions? We haven't been there since 1979 - so things must have changed a little bit - lol Whats up with Laurie has she caught a dreadful lurgy - or is she just exhausted from all that work she has been doing. jude

Hi again, Forgot to tell you. We had a visitor today. I was doing some ironing and Neville was reading, something caught his eye and there he/she was. photo on GC photospage. You don't expect it in winter. Lovely new handbag, trouble is it is still moving. LOL SuzyQ

Suzy loved the scenery in the background - but aaaahhhhh - not the visitor - I'm still shuddering and covered in goose pimples - can't stand them. jude

I am shuddering still. I very quickly closed all the doors and made sure the animals were indoors. Neville went out with a rake and directed it away from the house. SuzyQ

How brave of Neville - I think Ken would have been saying leave it alone while I was turning tail and running hard to get away. Its strange Idon't mind lizzards just can't stand snakes. How long was it? At least there will be someone to mind the house for you tomorrow while your at the wattle meet - lol. No one would dare come near the place. jude

Oh you got it didya Jude? Ive been asleep for the past hour. Must be the weather! Not sure what is wrong with Laurie, she didnt know herself. Jude I would hope you would drive down south even as far as Albany, and see all the Porongorups (giant trees) and dont forget Margaret River and wineries - there are also lots of little shops where they sell soaps (natural) - and aromotherapy stuff. Good pie shop at one place on the way down (will have to check with my sister for the name of it). The town begins with a 'D' - will report back. Know Mandurah extremely well. .. Used to go there for holidays as a kid, fish off the traffic bridge. .. Know lots of the people down there (mostly retirees, or peeps with holiday homes). .. Go there every trip back home. .. You must pay a trip to Fremantle, go to the markets, have fish'n chips at the fish markets (that is a must) .. lots of coffee shops. Will expand on this after I check with her. Jood

Good afternoon wattlers, Well Ray dropped me off for some retail therapy while he went to the office - was having a great time, lovely hot weather, sms'd Shaz, she was looking over the beach soaking up the suns rays, then I got a big dose of the yuckies, had to sit out in the sun to try and get the bones warmed up and ring Ray to come and get me - think the lovely Ray put a hex on me if I reached for the plastic! Back out home now, and the sky is a little darker - but still heaps warmer than Sydney has been!. I'll be right though - take more than a bug to keep me away from Brisvegas!!! So glad you can come Pam, see you on the front steps !!! Would you believe, because Sharon is too shy to go collect them from Glen, I have to go up to his house in the morning before I go to Brisvegas to collect her praline flakes - she really wanted them bad didn't she! Should have asked Rebs to do it - she wouldn't have been too shy! Ray and I just had a walk around the yard, and suprising, most all of the plants are alive and well, only thing is you have to push aside waist high weeds to find them! Decided we will subdivide before we put the place on the market - roads and power are laready along the back of the block, so we may as well do it and get some extra $'s for it rather than let the next person! My job Tuesday will be go to council and get the paper work underway! We am taking a new Wattler to the Casino with us tomorrow, will introduce you to her then - will make sure she has her photo taken ! Paul says he is going to come down and check everyone out too . . . make sure his mummy isn't playing with the wrong crowd!!! I wonder if we are having a BBQ for dinner tonight ??? All depends on the state of the gas bottle ??? Did the little darling leave some gas behind - or does mumsy have to cook inside !!! Of to check it out and watch the sunset - see you 2moro them that will be there - the rest of you, behave and dont make me read too much! When we win Lotto we will have a big one wont we . . . ALL OF US !!!! We should start thinking about where we are going to have this mass hysteria - be prepared !!! Guess it should be in the Capital of the state of the winning ticket !!! So we should start the planning now - dont want to be caught short !!! All submissions in writing please !!!! Bye for now luv Laurie

Jood I will await my travel advice lol That newmonia takes a long time to shake off the effects huh. But sleeps the best thing for you. So is hibernating this weather. Well I'm off home, hope all in Brisvegas have a wonderful time - which I'm sure you will. Everyone who is left behind have a wonderful weekend - I might be back later - depends whether Jon got his assignment finished or not. Its PARTY TIME while the others are away, so sorry I can't come (sob) please don't make me read 20 pages! jude

Laurie, don't forget to take that picture of the sewing box, and also some of your sunset and the property (as well as the Wattlers) Jude will get back to you later. Pity you are staying in the one place all the time, as you could have done a trip down the south west - stayed at some B&B's, would have been wonderful. ... What I originally suggested, can't be done in a day. I take it Laurie that Shaz will be going tomorrow. .. Also who is the new Wattler????????? .. Why would your boy wanna check out all these old gals eh?? (hee hee hee) Awww Jude - ya wont be here with us? .. I can't guarantee you will get less than 20 pages :-( Jood
