Tony Yes I loved doing that too and also having shanks boiled and thickened yummy. Used to be a cheap meal but gee they have gone up in price, but then its like everything. This other mini meat in Mosevale? is that in Sydney and when? You never know if I know of the dates and their are cheap flights I may make one. Cheers Sue |

Tassie, Mossvale is down from Wollongong, on the main drag. .. Will have to get someone else to tell you how many miles etc. .. and how long. .. Vonny could tell you how long it is to drive from Canberra, and Laurie could tell you how far to drive from the Sydney airport. .. I was just a passenger last time. p.s. Will you guys quit making that sucking noise from the shanks & roasts please ---- cant even hear myself think! Jood |

Sorry Jood - I would have deleted cept I went and did some FH!!!!! Was shamed into it by an email from a cousin tonight asking me how I was going!!! Bowral/Mossvale is great, about 2 1/4 hours from Canberra and not too far for Sandra to come up also. I didn't get to the last one as I didn't know you peeps then! GUESS WHAT!!! (ooops sorry) When I went to the Liverpool Pioneer cemetry last year and photographed a 'Hall' memorial it WAS my Great Great grands!! John and Mary Hall. Just verified it tonight plus some of their kids. Now the challenge is to find out how John Hall arrived here! feeling very chuffed now :) ~~~~~~~~~Vonny |

Thats ok Vonny. .. You wouldnt have as far to drive to Moss Vale, would you? The Casino is easier for me than Brighton le Sands .. easy for Queen Laurie though!!. (Thats for the 2nd meet lol) We will have to wait for Mary to sell her house and get settled I guess. She'd kill me if we had a meet locally and she couldn't get there. Well Laurie & Lew Lew - have a great trip tomorrow and enjoy yourselves at the weekend. .. Take lots of pics and fill us all in with the gossip. .. We will have our own party here and save you pages and pages and pages of Wattle Talk. Nite all Jood |

Nite all Thanks for the directory of where places are. If you have a meet without much travelling, as in near an airport it would be good cause then I wont have to tackle the mainland traffic lol. Cheers Sue |

Evening Pam If you are talking about the numbers that the others are alway trying to get ie 5500. if you go to the general board tab and look down until you find the wattle club thread, next to it will be how many postings the thread has, that is what they are after, the big no's as in ending with 00. Evening everyone Everyone going to Brisbane have a safe journey and have a great time. Always have a lot to read when I get on the site. By the time I have read all the news there is always a new topic so when I go to reply it is out of date. Bowral/Moss Vale is about an hours drive for me so if there is going to be a meet I can get there easily. What about late July/August? Have been very busy lately with voluntary work and also applying for work. Trying to get some experience after not working for the last few years cos of rehabilitation of my daughter. Contacted a Records office in Newcastle, Tyneside for some birth certs last week and they were so helpful and quick. Never done that before but will certainly contact other record office's again if they are that good and efficient. Cannot wait to receive one of the certs as it will have the name of my grandfather on, hopefully. Done loads of research on my maternal side but not on dads. Best wishes to everyone. Leah |

Trifley tip toes into club.....trips over a lamb shank and slips on the gravy which dripped off it. By the gods....I go away to have dinner with Mark & Graeme and this lot have a lamb party! There's shank bones and grissle and gravy all over the place. Trifley does a quick clean-up and collects enough bones to make a sheep. Did I hear someone mention Krispy Kreams? Ooohh my favourite doughnut. I can't understand why there isn't a KK shop in Qld. It would be wonderful if there was one at the Gold Coast airport.....Graeme could bring home fresh doughnuts every day....yummmmyyyy. It's a bit quiet here...I think I might toddle off to bed. See you all in the morning. ~~~~~~~waves to everyone. Sleep well./ love Trifley X |
