Good afternoon Wattlers, what started out at Botany Bay to be a lovely warm sunny day, though a little breezy, has suddnely turned overcast. Looking quite grey and chilly out there We have had three container ships arrive, so there is only one giraffe with its head up high. Thanks for the pm Joodles - I see the error of my ways . . . the line I think may pay is 3 11 21 33 41 42 . . . OK....Mark and the young lady have made an appearance and left again about an hour later. She is tall....probably about 5ft 10ins. Solid build but not fat. Blonde hair but I couldn't get close enough to tell the colour of the roots. Mark says she is 21...I would have said older, 25 or more. NOT a feminine/giggly/girly girl. She seems comfortable and relaxed with Mark and not shy or retiring with us. She seems ok. Joodles....IKEA...yes....yes...yes! Definetly one of the better places to spend a few hours. Laurie.....does Ray work for MITRE10 or is he just window shopping? Coffee time. See ya soon. Trifley X X

Good afternoon Wattlers Wind has gone and it's a beautiful day here today. Chris and I have been running around helping my brother get organised to go to the U.S. He has an earth moving business so we had to go out to the horse stud where he has been preparing the foundations for new stables. Chris drove my brother's ute - I had to follow in the car so that I could then drive Chris back to our house - about a 2 hour trip all round. Then Bro was able to drive his big truck home last night. This morning, we drove out to his place (30 minutes from our place) so that I could take out the laundry I had done for him and oversee the packing of his suit case! I think he's ready at last. Katherine's musical was absolutely fantastic. She attends an all girls school and you look at all those beautiful young women dancing, singing and playing music and you think that the future of the world is in good hands. The theme was on self image - it touched on poor self esteem, poor body image, anorexia, loneliness, bullying and finally gaining the strength to rise above one's insecurities and face the world with courage and self esteeem intact. It was brilliant and so many topics were touched on which are so relevant to adolescent girls. And Katherine looked beautiful - they had a huge screen which they were playing the show on so everyone could see the stage really well and there was a close up of her singing - oooh! I was so proud. Her new hair colour and style really suits her. Mary - keeping my fingers crossed for you re the unit. Such a tense time trying to co-ordinate the sale of the current house with the purchase of the new unit, packing, getting rid of accumulated trivia, and also coping with keeping the house tidy for prospective buyers. Hope it all dovetails together nicely for you. Trifley - let us know what the new girl is like - very exciting! Now be on your best behaviour and keep those man servants out of sight. Poor girl won't know what she's letting herself in for! Hey Rebs! Who'd be a woman? I used to get debilitating headaches - guess what - all hormone related and I don't get them anymore! There are some good things about getting past 50! Hope you're feeling better soon. Hi Jood! Sorry to hear that cough is still hanging around - they are hard to shake that's for sure. I have no idea what all the shouting is about Lara and Tony so I will just remain ignorant! I hate to admit this about a son of mine, but son and partner went to Dreamworld to a Big Brother eviction last weekend! (cringe!) He shouted so much he was hoarse for days!! Hi SuzyQ - I hope you haven't been hitting Neville's pills again - you never know what might happen! Hope Neville is feeling better and is well enough to come with you next weekend. I can see I could never let you loose with my husband Tony - he has been known to spend hours in Bunnings and come out with nothing. He says there is so much good stuff to just look at. I like the gardening section but I am quite luke warm about the rest of the place! Vonny - I was listening to a radio program the other day about how kids continue their adolescence past 19 these days. More like 30! They go to Uni and remain dependent on their parents for hand outs, they go overseas and come back to live with Mum and Dad because they are broke. The kids who take up apprenticeships are on such low wages they still have to depend on their parents for support - and when the marriages break up the kids come back home with the furniture and the kids and the pets! We have 2 dogs who live in our street who really belong to the adult kids but have been left with Mum and Dad on a sort of long term minding basis! I can see we'll be stuck with 3 guinea pigs for years to come! Oh dear - and I was hoping to escape overseas some time before I am too decrepit! They were also saying on the program Laurie that the parents leave home and leave the kids behind just to get away from them so you are right in the trend! Best go do some ironing - will check back in later. Luv to all Anna

Sorry Wattlers, yes it is a ticket I got during the week . . I promise WE will spend the money wisley . . . Lara, I want to put the mini orb in the bathroom up home, and re length of stay, not sure what is happening at the moment as I have had a bit of a hickup, but will let you know when I do! DIANE, The lovely Ray manages Oldfields Holdings, (OLDFIELDS) they make paintbrushes, rollers & other painting accessories, (ACCESS) scaffolding & demoutable seating, plus (TRECO) they make the Treco garden sheds and other shed thingys! They make the rollers and brushes in Indonesia, the sheds and scaffolding are made at their factory out at Campbelltown - so no he is not window shopping - he is flogging stuff off! Sounds like mum approves of the friend - (makes note not to let the Trifle one hover over my head looking for root colour) Anna sounds like the musical night was great - all good stuff . . . imagine you daughter is floating today. Heated up left over curry for dinner tonight! Followed by chocolate . . . just found the forgotten stash (Ray's - I never forget chocolate) Catch ya later luv Laurie

Well Carlton bombed out yet again..........guess they do have a very young team, so there is hope yet. In about 3 years time. But Lowndes won race 3 and the round of the V8's at Winton. So my Sunday sports wasn't a total loss. lol !!!

Early evening Wattlers, The worker is home and caught up with you all. Geez did Collingwood win last night ???? - would never have guessed the way Lara & Tony were shouting - you 2 realise they can't hear you - pmsl As for Geelong - no words to describe their loss - how can they be so far ahead to lose - sorry Jude2. Dave sat up and watched the Crows win but only after ringing a mate who was watching Foxtel and said we were sooooooo far ahead. The 2 games he'd watched this year the Crows had lost so he wasn't tempting fate. '3rd cat' was banging the cat flap at 5.30 this morning - ignored her even tho I should have been out of bed. She came back at 6.30 so I let her in - she only gets whatever my boys have left now. Rebs - hope you're feeling better. Jood - hope the cough soon leaves you alone - of course you needn't send it here either - lol Anna - glad the musical went well and what good subjects to focus on too. Lara - have fun packing the van when it arrives - you'll be like a kid with a new toy. Hi to everyone else - sounds like you've all had a good weekend whatever you've been up to. Off to cach up with my Mum, so I'll catch y'all later Gwenda

Evening All Well it was a lovely day here today, bit cool tonight as it is already down to 3 with an expected overnight of -2 to 12 tomorrow, dont ya just love winter. Bad luck on the lotto this week, hopefully next week we might be lucky, I bought the ticket at the same place as the woman who shared in about $500,000 a couple of weeks ago got her ticket from. Lew I did go for my walk this morning left the house at 8.am, but it wasnt as cold as expected, was only a patchy frost in places. I probably wont be going for a walk tomorrow as it is school holidays over here as from Friday and with David at work the girls dont like going for walks, more the youngest one, she does sport at school, but thinks just walking around the street is boring, so I will have to be satisified with getting on my bike for 45 mins and look out my window and watch everyone go by in the cold. Rebs I totally agree with you, our footy teams might not have won but Lowndes winning today made up for it and ford also got second, we wont mention 3rd place as I dont like the person who got that position. My OH David didnt win in either as his Kangaroos went down to Sydney and he goes for Holden. Well guess everyone going to Brissie is getting excited, I would love to get to one and will have to seriously start saving money for maybe when Honey Rum comes over from UK. Well going to get a coffee may be back later, if not tomorrow. Cheers Sue
