Evening all . . . from the nut house . . . Had to have a big bake up tonight - Ray came home and told me they are having a 'Big Morning Tea' tomorrow, (for the cancer fund) like he forgot to tell me two weeks ago when they organised it !!! 'The girls wanted to know if you have any chocolate slice or lemon pie for them . . . . .' Of course I always have spares in the cupboard waiting for someone to ask for it!! . . . NOT! At least the cooking makes the appartment smell nice, and its warm as toast in here at the moment. They have their chocolate slice and their lemon pie - and I got more brownie points !!! and a messy kitchen! Boys have both been on the phone several times today, I think they are excited that we are coming up home . . . I know I am - Be good to get Ray away for a four day weekend too. See the darn cat has been curled up by the fire all day - waiting to pounce! Did you manage to get Laras letter sorted Lew ?? I'm well and truely ready for bed, so catch you all tomorrow Night luv Laurie |

Good evening all My brother invited himself to dinner tonight - he's the one who's going to America on Sunday. He brought me some ironing and a list of shopping to do! Honestly - men!! He's gone through 2 wives and a number of partners but still has big sister around to bail him out in his hour of need! Trifley - found the piccies - OOOOh! I think you could bury Nefer in there if he gets out of line. On the other hand, when the tub goes in, you could have some serious fun in the tub with the brothers under the palm trees. Seriously, it should look great when it's finished - maybe Nefer and the boys could get some work done on it when poor Graeme is at work. Tony - how many days to go? Have you packed your farkling stick? Joodles - glad you are feeling better. Have you got your hip flask of Southern Comfort beside the bed? Lots of people lurking with intent tonight I see. It will be a fight to the death for the really big one! I'm off to bed - hubby's birthday tomorrow so he won't appreciate me being on here all night and leaving him with a cold bed and no company! At this moment he is 2 years younger than me - at midnight, he'll only be one year younger than me. He loves to rub it in! Catch all you lovely people tomorrow XX Anna |

Morning Wattlers. Absolutely freezing up here this morning. Very heavy frost and the valley has disappeared into the fog. Sorry, Lara, no good with that letter. Don't know what the problem is. I've tried every trick I know, but no good. Sorry, mate, but I think you're going to have to re-type it. Well I see the naughty Cat has been lying around in wait for the 4900, but she really did cheat *makes mental note to obtain spray bottle - one quick squirt should send that Cat scurrying* LOL, Tony, about your Barb nicking the shampoos, etc. My younger sister actually had the hide to give my older sister a bag full of that stuff for her 40th birthday!!! Yes, younger sister defintely carries the scottish gene! Oooo, seahorses. I love them. Wonder if I can put them in my fishpond. Me thinks that Nefer might be a little on the large size for the Queen's water feature. lol Gee, I hope Geshtu arrives today. Probably on the afternoon flight into Mudgee. Must check at the airport. I want him here a couple of days before Friday's luncheon, just so he can get into the routine of things, pmsl. Well, must away. Hope everyone has great day. Hey, we haven't heard from Wilson for a while. Hope she's not out making crop circles! Lew Lew xxx 30, 30, 30, 30, 30, HOORAY!!!! :-))))))))))))))))) |

Good morning Wattlers, A nice srisp moring here again, the sun rising over yet another bank of clouds out at sea, giving them a three dimentional effect. Must have had someone hold up works at the airport, there are 4 jumbos and three smaller planes lined up waiting to take off - I never tire of watching those great monsters take off. Only two giraffes with their heads up, the wharves look full, a gas tanker that had been in for a couple of days - left this morning early, so all busy at Botany Bay! Morning Lew, OMG . . . . tomorrow we will be down into the 20's . . . . Are planning a great party for 'R Day' !!! Morning Joodles, Hope the coughing is easing hon, stay warm, and take it easy. Hope you all have a great day - off to do the dreaded . . . . cheers luv Laurie |

The bed is always inviting if I get cold - I still manage to fall asleep for 1/2-1 hr ... cor .... Im already getting 9 hours sleep a night, used to be 7. .. I'm amazed I can sleep that long. I reckon this winter (so far) has been the coldest .. anyone else think so? <wots R day Laurie? Rebs - Ray - ......> Jood |

Morning Laurie. Fog at the regional airports would have an affect on the little planes, so maybe that's the problem. I know they have trouble landing at Mudgee when it's foggy. Terry & I have decided to invite the office out for a sausage sizzle on Saturday 1 July to celebrate. Off to get ready for work (heeeee heeee) Lew Lew xxx |

Morning everyone, I need some help, I answered a query from a lady called Loopy Lou thinking I could help her but I can't. Her question was she's trying to find out about some people who were living in Livingstone Ave, Botany Road Botany in 1926, she has the first names but not sure of the second, could be Baker. I've never done any research within Australia my lot are all English and Irish, can anyone help? thanks Jill |

Morning all Jill I agree with Lew it is more a Tony or Laurie question as they are the brains on here when it comes to these type of things. Lew it is not as cold here today as they was expecting, we had a bit of cloud cover come in last night to keep a bit of the heat in ha ha. it only got down to 5 and not the expected 0, but they mentioned about a place in the highlands got -11 monday night, the record for the state is -13. Now after that dont you feel warmer lol. Trifley like the look of where the bath is going, on a hot day you could lay in the bath and have Nefer wave a palm leaf over you to keep you cool lol. Well I have been for my morning walk and I was thinking about having a shower and going into town to donate blood to the blood bank as they are low and asking for more donors. I have never donated before and I thought why not, so I rang first to find out about it, to make sure I could give blood, when I mentioned about having an AICD unit, she told me I couldnt give blood for my own safety, in case it made the heart play up. So I came on here for a minute to say hi, now I am going to have my shower, will be back after. Cheers Sue |

Well, Tassie, your heart was in the right place and I suppose the blood bank wanted it to stay that way, lol. The lowest we've ever had was when we were on the farm and it got down to -14! Mind you, 3 months before it had reached 44!! 'Of droughts and flooding rains'. Seeya, Lew Lew xxx |
