I didn't mean to leave him there that long......honest !!! Mind you, that's the third time this company (selling cheap holidays) has called withing the space of a week. Each time the MO is the same, they ask for a name - different each time - and when they have the ' wrong ' number they rattle off the number and ask for the owner of said number. Woman on Friday called at 6 pm. I went off at her then, telling her it is dinner time here, and hung up. but she was a rude bitch. At least todays caller was quietly polite. |

Hey, sometimes you have to be careful with those calls. Terry had one the other day from 'Ali' that he was about to get rid of, when he discovered that it was actually the guy who was trying to deliver our rug to us, lol. Went out at lunchtime and bought some river rocks for the fishpond. Should look beautiful! Fish will probably be in next week. How you going Jood? Taking it easy it hope, although I suspect you may have snuck out today!!! Having some girls over for lunch on Friday, so might have to chuck a sickie! We all use to go to the gym together, but now we're just known as the 'lard arse' girls, pmsl. Hope that hypnotherapy don't kick in, Queen. We like you just the way you are! *note to self - 'remember to bring additional medication and restraining devices'* ~~~waves to all~~~ Lew Lew xxx |

Hi Wouldn't you just hate to be a tele marketer? At one company I worked for they put me in credit control for a couple of days. I hated ringing and asking for people to pay their bills. I might be a bit better at it now that I am older and wiser. LOL Lew lew, are you sure that you want this gang at your home in Feb. The poor fish won't know what has hit them. Maybe you should put a tent ( marquee ) up in the paddock for everyone. Sue, I hope your parents have a nice holiday and i am glad to hear that you ex MIL is feeling better. Anna, hope the daughter's exam went well. Lew, did you buy a rug from an Indian? Do you know they have very young children slaving away to make those rugs for hardly any pay or food. I saw a programme on TV all about it. They were virtually tied to the looms for over 12 hours a day. Hope you bought an Australian made one or from some civilised country. Now I wish I hadn't said that, I don't mean to upset you. I am going to run away now before I get some thing thrown at me LOL Luv SuzyQ |

Afternoon all, Three times in one evening last week, I had the phone ring and when I answered a (mechanical) voice said 'thank you for calling, an operator will be with you shortly!!' Oooooo is Brisvegas so close? It only seems like yesterday we were at Yarrawonga! Answering two questions asked while I was away: Unfortunately July is still in the rainy season for Chiang Mai, so I am expecting it to be hot and humid :) No - John's marine engine hasn't turned up. I think he is reconciled to the fact that it is unlikely to. Actually, I'm feeling dizzy tonight, I got a tick - on my head- while we were away and am reacting to it I think ~~~~~~~~~~~~ to all and I might be on later. Vonny |

Hi Vonny I have a fear of ticks. I had a dog die when I was young, from a tick. Hope you're ok. <<<hugs>>>. Hi Laurie... when I make soup the boys call it 'mum's throw-it'. I stand at the open fridge and anything I find I throw in the pot. That's the extent of my culinary skills. Haven't killed 'em yet. lol Trifleyx |

Funny you should mention those overseas calls, I just had one not 10 minutes ago, something about a holiday, I said which company is calling please ... she said 'India' - and then I said 'I'm not interested thanks,' and hung up. Last week I nearly did the same thing, but I asked the guy who he was, and he said I am the Doctor you saw this morning (chinese guy, whom I dont normally see) .... oooops, could have been embarrassing! Well Lew Lew, yes, I did sneak out. .. I did in fact cancel one appointment early this morning but went to a 'scarf demonstration and soup & slice day' with the girls from my club. .. Honestly it was the bestest medicine. .. I didn't help (as I normally do, being on the committee), but just sat around in the sun. Later I went on to a smaller sub committee meeting, and would have been home earlier, only some of the girls were late getting there. .. Anyway I am home and nicely warmed up. .. I have to say I'm glad I went out today. .. Apart from the lady next door (briefly) - I had not spoken to anyone since I left hospital on Friday. SuzyQ, a few of the girls suggested physio, so will mention that to my Dr on Wednesday (I got a few other suggestions too, one of which the Wattlers had also suggested!) - the whiskey!!! |
