Well - bucket of pitch! We were THAT close! Those blues had better watch out next time. How about that last goal that Thurston kicked! Wow! How could he kick such a difficult goal under so much pressure. Thanks Tony and Leah for the numbers. Sending you a goodnight hug Joodles - hope you're feeling better tomorrow. Nighty night to all Anna |

Morning Julie Cat & fellow Wattlers, Julie Cat - loop da loop is soup!!! Minus 3 here this morning so no rain again - the little bit we got on Tuesday did nothing. Guess the Blues won last night reading through before I went to bed - more a Maroon fan myself if I have to follow cross-country wrestling - lol That pantry cleaning the other day got some muscles working that haven't had a work out for ages - lol Early morning joke - A group of kids was trying very hard to make the move from kindie to school. The biggest hurdle the kids faced was that the teacher insisted on 'no baby talk!' 'You need to use 'big people' words,' she was always reminding them. She asked Chris what we had done over the weekend. 'I went to visit my nana,' the little tyke said. 'No, you went to visit your grandmother,' the teacher corrected. 'Use 'big people' words.' She then asked Olivia what she had done. 'I took a ride o a choo-choo,' she told her. 'No, you took a ride on a train,' the teacher said. 'You must remember to use 'big people' words.' She then asked little Alan what he had done. 'I read a book,' he replied. 'That's wonderful,' the teaher said. 'What book did you read?' Alan thought really hard about it, then puffed out his chest with great pride and said: 'Winnie the S**t,' On that note and minus 4 now, will wish you all a great day whatever you're doing and catch up later, Gwenda |

Good Morning and that was a funny one, Gwenda. Always good to start the day with a laughter.lol. Jolly cold in the Central Tablelands this morning, too. Mary, the 17th should be okay too. Just leave it with me and I try to tie Hubby down as to when he is nicking off to Switzerland skiing, then I can work on something more accurate. ~~~waves~~~ to Julie Cat. Nice to see you pop in every so often Is the weather getting any better in the Motherland? Queen T, my niece, Bethany, won a garden design competition with Flemmings and she was actually helping out the team that won the Gold at Chelsea this year. How exciting for a 22 yo! Well, the landscapers are back this morning, the pool man is coming soon to show us how to operate the heating, etc. The cabinetmaker is returning to finish off the tv cabinet. The cable guy is coming to re-hook up the amp, etc., plus the new LCD and the furniture is finally being picked up from Sydney and will delivered on Saturday. Won't be long now until things settle down. Must away, as the landscapers have arrived and I'm still swanning around in the pjs! Thinking of you, Jood. Just behave yourself and do what you're told, Missy!! Seeya, Lew Lew xxx (36!!!) |

Julie - I had same prob yesterday - put early morning message, went to work, got on puta as soon as in door and they'd added 56 b****y messages - an hour later I was able to get something for tea - then I check before I head to bed and more waffling - most of it over a silly game involving a ball with a lot of going backwards to go forwards - so it was almost midnight when I got to bed. Nitey nite Julie and sweet dreams ~~~~~waving~~~~~ Gwenda |

Good morning Wattlers, A lovely clear day here on Botany Bay, just a few wispy white clouds so would appear the rain has gone, just a verly slight cool breeze. We have 5 giraffes with heads held high, sunning themselves, not much activity on the water - but the airport is busy as always! News on Joodles this morning is that she is still waiting for the c-scan . . . feeling much better, but still very wheezy! she has asked me to thank you all for your good wishes. Got the good numbers Tony . . . thanks Leah, where is the big party on Sunday going to be ????? Hope your are ready for your big party tonight Tony, Happy 5th birthday to your little grandie, hope she has a wonderful, magical day! Yes Gwenda, I agree with the description of cross country wrestling - most suprised with hubby though, firstly - he didn't use his tickets to the game, and secondly - he didn't even watch it on tellie. One of the things they enticed him south with was Gold Club membership at Telstra stadium, so he gets 1 complimentary ticket to everything thats out there, plus first option to buy others . . . I've been to a Grand final and a State of Origin with him, just to experience the atmosphere, but not interested in watching the game - just the people ! Some folks leave their self respect at the gate I think. Lew, thats impressive . . . Bethany must be a very talented girl, well done to her! My mum always wanted to go to Chelsea Flower Show, so maybe one day I will do it for her. When you get your house all decked out Lew, you may have to change your name to Queen of Mudgee Castle! Nearly time to sit back and enjoy it all . . Hi Julie, dont forget to share the poem . . . one thing that was done really well when I was going through the school system (yes, I still remember smart alecs) was the appreciation and knowledge of Australian Poetry. There was as much poetry in our household as there was music - driving anywhere we always took it in turns to pick which song or poem we would all either sing or recite. (Town was 90miles away on a dirt track - had to something to pass the time). Morning Jill, the girls on here are not like you at all - they only watch their sporting heros for the gamesmanship . . . especially that Devil in Tassie, then theres Lara, and not to forget the swimming fans, and queen of the tennis circuit the lovely Barb (Tony's better half) . . . . I myself appreciate swimming & cycling - purely for the sport you understand! Got another def match up last night . . . another one in Rays family - not the one I need to break down the brick wall - but it confirms I'm on the right track. Off for some window washing, city smog tends to make them very grotty - you know the windows need cleaning when you clean you glasses every 5 minutes and it makes no difference ! Have a great day everyone cheers luv Laurie |

Jill, As I look out my window over Botany Bay - I have a birds eye view of the docks at the container terminals at Port Botany and the airport. The giraffes come in two colours, red & yellow Most times they are used as slaves to unload the ships - other times they have their heads reaching into the sky. At night they have lovely fairy lights to adorn their long necks! Thats my story and I'm sticking to it . . . luv Laurie |

Hi, peeps, please pass on my best wishes to Joodles, I wondered where she had got to. And hi to all the rest of you, from sunny and warm Dundas. The first long weekend of summer was a bust, cool and grey (like me!), but now it's a working day, it's just lovely. Ain't it always the way? Michael (probably the one you didn't think of) |

Lew, I will have you know I have only ever had 1 empty sherry bottle in my life . . . only used for cooking purposes in this household! Now I wouldn't have a leg to stand on if you had said, Red, or chardy or champers or etc etc etc . . . . Besides, last slurp was on the plane on Monday night . . so I must be drying out! Hi Michael, will pass on your good wishes to Joodles, I'm sure she will be back on board before long, can't keep a good woman down . . . Now get back to work Lew, our 'lady of leisure in waiting' I've got dead peeps to find! cheers luv Laurie |
